I liked the idea of .30 super carry, but i feel they missed the point starting at 45k psi and then settling on 52k, shouldve done 40k and work it for micro pistols to have slimline double stack magazines. Given its really .32 caliber and not .30, could they do a .28 caliber version of this or how small of a rimless case could fit a small pistol primer without issues? Imagine like 15 rounds of .28 in an lcp 1 sized gun or smaller, and with basically 0 recoil
I mean it’s basically fine as it is. Any grip enough to accommodate .380 is also more than wide enough for .30 SC, you just have to make it longer front to back which isn’t that big of a deal.Unfortunately .30 SC suffers from something of the same problem that 5.7 does, in that 9fags practice double standards when it comes to terminal ballistics (anything weaker than their preferred 9mm loading sucks and anything more powerful doesn’t actually make a difference, unless it’s 10mm because for some reason 9fags coom over 10mm). Also they either don’t comprehend or deliberately ignore the fact that they can keep doing most of their practice with 9mm handguns which largely negates the increased price of .30 SC FMJ. Federal probably thought that people genuinely believed in the whole “all handgun calibers get a gold star, only capacity and shot placement matter” only to find out that most people either actually don’t despite what they say, and/or don’t give enough of a shit to buy what *should* be a better handgun by their standards instead of their 100th fucking PSA or Tisas or whatever.Which is a shame, because honestly I get the impression that .30 SC would have been the ideal handgun cartridge for most people if it had actually taken off. Much better terminal performance than .380, lower recoil than 9mm (which most people still can’t shoot worth a crap), and more capacity than either given the same magazine height.

Anything weaker than .375 H&H is a bad idea. Anything more powerful than .375 H&H doesn't actually make that much of a difference. It's easier to make faster follow-up shots with .375 H&H because the recoil is much more manageable than something like a .458 Win Mag or .460 Weatherby Mag.In other words, it's not a double standard. It's just a standard.
>make 9x19 except double the price with almost no gun options at launch>how did we fail? it makes no sense!
>>65334372And why would anything smaller than 9mm be a bad idea? Is there any proof for this or is it simply a gut feeling?
