Could a civilized protocol to make enemy aircraft surrender like ground troops can surrender to limit loss of life be made?
Awful post but it made me wonder if pilots are less likely to surrender (honor culture bs) but more likely to defect when the war is shifting sides (higher IQ, moar smart)

>>65337224Usually you'll eject (if you survived) and then presto you're now "ground troops" and can surrender normally. I don't know how that is even a question. >>65337329>Awful post but it made me wonder if pilots are less likely to surrenderOnce they have been shot down? Has nothing to do with IQ or honor or whatever, the fact is you're one guy, probably hurt, hundreds of miles behind enemy lines with a pistol you shoot once a year. You try to evade but if you're cornered you're going to surrender because you have 0 chance of winning a gunfight.
