Something like a modernized MiG-31 + F-111. Meant to go fast and carry heavy missiles, China wants to try to snipe bombers and tankers to deny aircraft with less range entrance into their airspace. Ability to hit ground targets is a secondary role.

From the chinks perspective the B-52H can take off from one of 100 different air bases in a massive semicircle around the mainland. JASSM-ER hit important stationary targets especially unguarded ones. China will not have reasonable access to its own military satellites to detect them early.
