Is the J-36 a fighter bomber?
>The Hunchback of Red China
>>65339965I don't think it's anything but a prototype of a concept at this point. It sounds like something the chinks came up with to boost national coherence even if the rest of the world thinks it's a retarded design.
It's whatever china says it is because it's a fucking model that will never enter mass production.
>>65339987>retarded design. Why?? 3 engine just mean that it can carry more payload. Think of it as a kinda stealth ish missile carrier. Sort of more heavily armed F-15 with kinda better stealth.
>>65340024>3 engine just mean3 engine mean more thrust without having build bigger more powerful enginesomething China has struggled with doing reliably
>>65340024Habla ingles?
Something like a modernized MiG-31 + F-111. Meant to go fast and carry heavy missiles, China wants to try to snipe bombers and tankers to deny aircraft with less range entrance into their airspace. Ability to hit ground targets is a secondary role.
Why are you so butthurt, chinkshill?
>>65339965just an old russian jet reskinned
>>65340024>>65340035this. chinks can't build jet engines. american engines have 6x more thrust and are more fuel efficient so the chinks are desperate.
>>65340136Which one?
I think it looks kinda neat, like if a kid was told to design a high tech bad guy plane, but god that ugly fucking intake on top is the antithesis of sexy, it makes the thing look like a hunchback.
>>65339977Trip-dubs of accuracy.
>>65340035But three engines mean more weight and fuel consumption on an airframe that had to be enlarged and made more inefficient. It is stupid. They should have put the money into engine research.
>>65340312>But two engines mean more weight and fuel consumption on an airframe that had to be enlarged and made more inefficient. >It is stupid. They should have put the money into engine research.
>>65340327You are not wrong. That is why the F-35, the most advanced aircraft in the world, has one engine.
Seems to be an F-111 but based on stolen designs.
>>65339965it's not an anything yet, it's a prototype.
>>65340340The same F-35's that don't have radars?: https://www.twz.com/air/its-official-f-35s-are-now-being-delivered-without-radars
>>65340312They've been putting money into engine research for decades and it's produced questionable results
>>65340136>just an old russian jet reskinnedTHIS, it's just 3x mig21s glued together
>>65340351oop, didn't take long for the angry chinkshill to drop the mask.they do have radars, you are really mad LMAO.
>>65339965it's only a model>>65339977SANCTUARY! SANCTUARY!
>>65340346>J=fighter>JH=fighter-bomberHope this helps>>65340346>they stole this design that was on a cum stained napkinWehraboo levels of retardation
>no radars copechinkshill can't keep it in his pants
>>65340090The problem with this is B-52H+LRASM/JASSM-ER are going to outrange it no matter how it's designed. From the chinks perspective the B-52H can take off from one of 100 different air bases in a massive semicircle around the mainland. JASSM-ER hit important stationary targets especially unguarded ones. China will not have reasonable access to its own military satellites to detect them early.
>>65340521>China will not have reasonable access to its own military satellites to detect them early.Do you mean outer space satellites or other countries?
>>65339987Exactly. Whenever private companies make new super cars, they give it a photograph disrupting camouflage because they don't want you to copy anything about its shape. The fact that china is being so openly about this shows it's just fluff. Why would they want to risk a super advanced design being copied by their enemies unless it's just a publicity stunt? Same with their new submarine.
>>65340351>America has so many F-35 that the radar manufacturer cannot keep up.The seething thirdie does not realize what he is arguing.
>>65340359Which is hilarious, as the J-8 (the original one, not the one with MiG-23 elements) is two MiG-21s glued together. Has the side effect of making it look like the chubby cousin of the Fishcan
>>65340766psl be gentlecold war china jets are doing thier best ok
>>65340819Probably the funniest thing about reading about Chinese military development is realising in literally every element of weapon development, from Kalashnikovs to ballistic missiles, follows the same pattern>get Sov shit from 1949 to 1960/1965>piss the Soviets off and they stop giving you shit>suffer the Cultural Revolution mid to late 1960’s and have everyone gulaged >get Nixon’d in 1973, but that doesn’t begin to bear fruit until late 1970’s/early 1980’s>then NOTHING HAPPENED IN 1989>get arms embargoed by the West for the NOTHING HAPPENING>turn to the Soviets>they shit the bed in 1991, so you do get top level Sov shit from both Russia and Ukraine, but nothing more>have to figure everything out for yourself from now on
>>65340521If it forces the US to attack from further away with standoff weapons than it reduces the sortie rate a number of places they can launch from and buys them time for interception. They don't need to be perfect to be useful. A lot of China's strategy will be area denial. This is why the Vatnik argument about America wanting to antagonize Russia is so retarded. A liberalized Russia was always a US strategic wet dream. You get a large counterbalance to Germany in the EU (more relevant in the 90s, to be sure), a more aggressive EU member who will push defense, a liberal monopoly on global arms supplies almost, since Russia and the US are the big suppliers and developers, between Russia, the US, Canada, Venezuela, Norway, etc. enough energy resources to seriously offset any friction with the Middle East, and above all, a fuck huge land border with China in their poorly defended periphery. This is also why China's strategic wet dream (which is actually coming true) is vassalizing Russia (and/or annexing the Far East). In 2000, the Russian Far East had just 14,000 Han Chinese, small even with its very low population. By 2014, Han (mostly Chinese nationals) made up 1 in every 5 year round residents. Then Russia asked China to stop publishing figures because it was embarrassing for them. It is surely higher now with Western flight and China basically taking over resource extraction. The largest Russian national groups out there also aren't ethnic Russians. They are all groups with more ties to China (e.g., Mongolians), and the biggest Euro ethnic group is the descendants of exiled Ukranians. Russia did have programs to settle more Europeans out there in the 2000s-2010s, but it was mostly Ukranians, so again, not exactly a group whose loyalty they have courted. On top of this, Putin has disproportionately conscripted these groups for the war, making them unhappy, but also giving them disproportionate combat experience...
>>65340942Which is all to say, it chaos kicks off when Putin dies, China will certainly weigh in heavily to pick the next leader. This is also why they have supported Russia, but not too much, giving them just enough rope to hang themselves with, leaving Russia weak and any chosen successor questionable (if one even existed). Worst case, they will have the Far Eastern republics push for "independence."To the original thought, this is all because Russia being open fucks with area denial. It allows land based forces to be stocked close by. The inverse is also a huge opportunity for China, because if they have Russia then they can put much of the EU, America's allies, under the risk of missile spam, while using Russia to tie down US resources, a sort of mad dog they can control with plausible deniability, just like North Korea.Basically, Putin likely succeeded in returning the Tartar Yolk to Russia.
>>65340536I mean they are going to be the first thing to go.
>>65340959Putin's buck broken successor will still lob a nuke at China for trying to take Siberia
>>65340889>NOTHING HAPPENED IN 1989I can confirm this, in fact there are pictures of NOTHING HAPPENING
>>65340942>the biggest Euro ethnic group is the descendants of exiled UkraniansThere should also be a sizeable Jewish minority, or at least those who did not emigrate to Israel.Oh, and didn't Stalin deport the Crimean Tartars there? Or did they end up in Uzbekistan, I forget.>>65340959>if they have Russia then they can put much of the EU, America's allies, under the risk of missile spamDo note that Germany is doing a massive push into air defense, and ballistric missile defense.Poland also has a good amount of AD and ABM on the shopping list, and Romania hosts an Aegis Ashore installation. We will have to see how much of what is planned becomes reality, but they are building radar sites, buying radars, launchers and interceptors. And factories to make those things.
>>65341184>those who did not emigrate to Israel.Jewish is not just an ethnicity, it also means those who practised Judaism until at most 2 generations agobeyond that, they just assimilate and meld into the population
>>65339965Same as F-22A
>>65340521>Operational range 230 mi (370.4 km)>outrange J-36I have bad news for you.
>>65340702>Why would they want to risk a super advanced design being copied by their enemiesLet's face facts: no other country in the world besides China can put 6th gen aircraft in production. They can dream and boast about it but in the end their programs will hit death spiral of overspending and cancelation.
>>65339965Chingalings can’t build engines. I do think they’ve come a longway, but still lag behind. Why do you think their f-35 knock off has 2 engines? China is still seething their “stealth” detecting radar was embarrassed.
>>65342216
>>65342218All those fumes and pollution really have taken a toll haven’t they?
>>65342211>quoting wikipedia without even reading All current JASSMs are JASSM-ER with the minimum published range of 500 miles.
>>65342216Low iq chinkshill
>>65342231Not to defend the devil but isn't it better for a plane that operates at sea to have two engines in case fucking idk a seagull is swallowed or something so it can crawl back to the carrier? Also doesn't the sea F-35 have a fan or something too?
>>65342248F-35C does not have a fanF-35B does have a lift fan, but it's completely useless if the main engine is fucked, it's solely used for STOVL landing>isn't it better for a plane that operates at sea to have two engines in case fucking idk a seagull is swallowed or something so it can crawl back to the carrier?ideally yes, but that was over forty years ago when the F-18 first appeared; we have since solved malfunctions and birdstrikes to the point that the redundancy of a second engine is no longer worth the tradeoff
>>65342261How do you solve birdstrikes? With some sort of grid in front of the engine or something?
>>65342265mostly fly around birds, but also strengthen the insides of an engine so they can eat a bird and still maybe limp back to the carrier
>>65342243Doesn't cut vs 1000 miles combat radius plus 250 miles missiles range
>>65342237See LCS, Constellation, ERCA.Big mil programs in US (and other countries) have very high likehood of death spiralling.
