Is the 20" AR with magnified optic and UBGL the best infantry weapon AR subtype?
Also is the kevlar expired? (yes)

Too much junk up front I love it

Carbines are more flexible and standalone GLs are the current vogue.
>>
>>65341633
kevlar has best before date!?
holy shit i was strolling around a war zone with expired kevlar
>>
>>65341633
this shit is extremely front heavy

No, if you want a 20" barrel then put it in a bullpup. Much better for close quarters and trench warfare compared to a 20" AR.

>Much better for close quarters and trench warfare compared to a 20" AR.
See the thing about this cope is that every SF unit whose main infantry has a bullpup has decided to use an AR-15 or an AR-18 for close quarters. so all the bullshit is disproven by the troops themselves. Notice how every Austrian, Australian, British, Israeli, etc. spec ops dude ditches the bullpup and uses the AR.
>>
>>65341995
Chinese spec ops still use their homegrown bullpup tough.
>>
>>65342005
Ah yes for all the foreign spec ops missions they do.
>>
>>65342005
no, they use the QBZ-191. they were the first adopters of it.
>>
>>65342040
Damn you anon. I am shilling for QBZ-95 here, dont make it harder.
>>
>>65342005
>Chinese spec ops
lmao has China ever even been in a war? wtf does China know about shooting besides lighting off firecrackers and running over eachother. They're smart but they're not what comes to mind when I think of 'good at shooting guns'. They don't even hunt, they eat domesticated housepets
>>
>>65342068
>They're smart
Correct, thats why they pay other people to shoot their gun for them. their hand stay clean and they have more time to make money.
>>
>>65341995
But not for a 20" barrel which is what the basis of this thread is on.
>>
>>65341995
General infantry are not SF units.
>>
>>65342068
>lmao has China ever even been in a war?
Looks like someone needs to read korean war history.
>>
>>65341633
underbarrels are only useful in some scenarios, it'd be better to just have a designated guy with a goodp launcher and everyone carries spare grenades for him
20 inch ARs are still the king of the battlefield though, ideally with an optic thats low powered or just a red dot
shaving off a few inches is retarded considering how much more you get out of it, and soldiers slap on retarded bulky ass shit on their guns these days anyways
>>
Front heavy motherfucker.
>>
>>65342005
LOL, you wish. Their spec ops adopted that 191 conventional rifle.
>>
>>65342110
The basis was on 20" barrel ARs being the best infantry weapon. Those who think those ARs are not the best infantry weapons will do things like you, who brought up non-ARs, or like me, who mentioned ARs with shorter barrels. Do you struggle with object permanence? Should we screenshot OP's post in all our replies so you don't get lost?

>>65342113
>General infantry are not SF units.
You are right; general infantry are forced to fight with whatever they get issued, while SF gets to choose what is best for their needs. Its good that we can observe what the combat troops who get a choice prefer, to see what is best.
>>
>>65342274
But then you'd be sacrificing the benefits of the 20" barrel. Picatinny rails exist on the bullpup (as pictured). So as I said, you unnecessarily rude cunt, is that the benefits for trench warfare and close quarters remain, compared to your vastly inflated sense of how "better" the AR platform is.

To your second point, I won't reply as you've come round to acknowledging SF are not relevant to OP's discussion.

I'll take a 16" bullpup which is the same length as a 10.5" AR.

implessive!
>>
>>65341633
It'll work. 18.5" saves you a bit of length and weight while giving you better ballistics than 14.5", and there's lighter and smaller 40mm grenade launchers than the old M203 (but as said, it'll work).

>>65341658
Unironically yes, the fibers will eventually dry out and lose their strength, and being exposed to your sweat and body heat as you wear it over time will also take its toll on it by itself.
Kevlar needs to be periodically replaced.

>>65342058
The Type-95 was widely regarded as adequate by Chinese soldiers, but everyone also wished that it was better in various ways.

>>65342315
Hey now, they also got put through the meatgrinder after trying to prevent Vietnam from ending the Cambodian Genocide.
>>
>>65341995
>decided to use an AR-15
10" AR-15
