To the Finnish anon we discussed availability of G3 clones in binland, czechia and yurop in general - there's a PTR with 2 sets of furniture and some spare mags on a czech classifieds page for 33 000 CZK right now which is slightly under 1400 EUR. Maybe you can find a company in Finland that can partner with a Czech vendor and import it for you...

No, but I remember in 2015 around when I got into guns some anon making a thread saying Wal-Mart was getting rid of their rifles stupid cheap and to check your local Wally world. So I called every store in the area and the one I called that was like 40 min away said they had two Olympic and one Colt AR. So I went and got a Colt LE6920 for $599.99. My brother still has it, I sold it to him so I could get a PTR-91 and I still regret doing that to this day. I hated it that thing. Eventually sold that around the start of the coof and got an Israeli FAL kit and that rifle is still with me.

This >>65381973 + the portuguese factory got closed down and dismantled years ago and I'm not sure if ELVO of Greece still makes roller guns for their military or switched to smth else. AFAIK Greece also has some retarded firearms export laws.

In Czechia the only G3s that hit the market in meaningful numbers were paki rifles from POF - and some ex-military CETME Modelo Cs converted to semi auto, which is still legal here on exemption. Never saw a Turk, Portu or Greek gun in the wild, and there are possibly more individual import PTRs among people here than German HK 91s.

Not that far South. I know there are places but I haven't lived here long so I need to find them. I have another spot in the mountains but it's way more of a drive, I try to make that more of a weekend overnight thing. It's becoming more and more apparent that I need something for offroading so maybe that should be next.

Since modern internet search engines are botted garbage and a lot of old website that had this info are long dead, does anyone know if there were any military issued 7.62x54r not 150grains? I handload and I'm trying to see if there was any 7.62x54r in ~174grain I could use as a benchmark. I also know there are 150gr 8mm Mauser, sometime known as "light ball", but I'm not able to find any info on it other than Turkish surplus is not a reliable benchmark.

>>
>>65382889
The POF rifles could have saved my ass too but apparently they have surplus lowers. Finnish cops have some sort of generational hatred of G3s which probably explains why I have seen so many M14s and FAL variants but no G3s whatsoever in the wild.
You can own L1A1s the lowers of which can absolutely take a full auto sear no questions asked, and back in the day you could buy M16 lowers that weren't even considered firearm parts by law. Meanwhile the humble G3 lower has always been considered a full auto babykiller weapon part, I don't know but I'd venture it had to do with the Nordic Biker War and stolen AK4s on the black market. Sounds kind of insane though that they'd worry about clandestine trigger packs entering the market and not the umpteen legal FALs you could convert back to FA with a punch and hammer.
>>
>>65383814
The Finnish D46 loading is 185grs and D166 is 200grs
>>
>>65383814
As far as the Imperial German loadings of 8x57 go, they're as follows per a report from the Prussian War Ministry in 1904:
>M88 Patrone: 14.7g (226.85gr) at 620m/s (2,034 f/s) from 2.36g (36.42gr) of powder 436
>S Patrone: 9.8g (151.24gr) at 870m/s (2,854 f/s) from 3.2g (49.38gr) of powder 682b

Romanian surplus 8x57 should follow the specifications of S Patrone iirc.

>Will probably just pull the trigger on a 16” SA58 from DSA soon.
DSA just restocked on 12” OSW SBRs so now I’m torn between buying one of those or a 16” Para. The 16” is probably better all around but the OSW is cool and already modernized. The OSW coming with 5/8x24 thread pitch is a big draw.

It’s not a horrible money sink. People will say of .50 Beo/458/450 it’s the worst of you don’t reload but even during peak price gouging I had to problem stockpiling ammo at around $1.75/pr shipped. That's probably the correct conclusion. HK platform rifles and PCCs had regulatory hate thrown at them for a long time, they had to have special denial features, namely the inability to accept surplus trigger packs but the standards have subsided in recent years based on current manufacturers. Police cultures do have it out for specific weapons at a given time. In the US there was outright prosecutorial misconduct against certain companies for making cheap handguns (SWD, Intratec), or importing AKs at low prices (Magua, TGI). They even banned a couple Shotgun models in the early 90s for using drum mags only for drum mag saigas to overwhelm the market 10 years later.

How much more difficult would it be for Euro like yourself to just swap residencies over to one of the gun friendly nation-states like Czechia, Estonia or Swiss ? In the US literally any retard with a set of tires can move from California to Georgia, though California actually is starting to attempt exit taxing people for leaving. From an American viewpoint establishing residency/citizenship in Eastern Europe looks fairly difficult and impractical unless you have a direct ancestor like a grandparent that taught some dialect. Some like Latvia I think don't allow dual citizenship
>>
>>65417391
Estonia is the easiest one there, but more of a sidegrade and the economy there sucks. Technically within the EU area it's very easy but for Czechia you have to be a citizen to own funs and Switzerland has relatively cucked laws now + not EU
>>
>>65417391
there's a limited amount of requirements set to prevent welfare mooches from settling in a more wealthy country without getting a job or having a least some money in the bank.
the main issue is language, glhf if you want to learn Czech.
a lot of people also really can't move without taking a massive hit to their income even when moving to a country that just as wealthy. I've a masters in law and have a decade of experience. the moment I cross a border that's all out the window and I'm no better than any other desk monkey.
there's also the economic factor that Estonia and the Czech republic has lower wages than Western Europe
the cultural factor that Europeans move a lot less and move less far than Americans
finally Switzerland is out side of the the EU but a part of the Schengen zone. The have some more restrictions in place again to prevent welfare mooches. but is very hard to get Swiss citizenship and in turn full access to their more relaxed gun laws
furthermore most European gun owners are far more relaxed about firearms possession than a lot of American ones.
Owning firearms isn't a corner stone of their identities, moving to an other country just so you can get a ar-15 with a bit shorter barrel or a bit loser laws concerning full auto just doesn't make sense to me and nearly any one else.
like I know a couple of guys who when they moved looked for homes closer to the range they go to or where there's better hunting.
but never anyone that considered moving to an other country. even my ameriboo friend hasn't taken it that far and he'd be able to get the paperwork being a engineer.

>Owning firearms isn't a corner stone of their identities, moving to an other country just so you can get a ar-15 with a bit shorter barrel or a bit loser laws concerning full auto just doesn't make sense to me and nearly any one else.
Basically, maybe I'd consider if there were a full semi-auto ban or something. I was a bit harsh calling Switzerland cucked – it's still gun paradise compared to Finland – but it's an entirely different culture and entirely different shooting culture. Like I have tested a handgun in a guy's front yard before here in Finland, and while it's harder to get full autos here it's not illegal to shoot them on private land unlike Switzerland. Basically I just like my vgh sovl forestfag culture even if the gun laws are sometimes fucked

So it sounds nearly as impractical for all reasons as it would for an Anglosphear resident to move to the handful of White countries that don't go ass mad over guns. And with the various employment visas the US has we're the landing zone for Canadians and Jeets naturally. If your a Kiwi or Aus you either live long enough to move to Flips or die a bush hero.
That's a good point about the Swiss, notoriously difficult to integrate there and I've heard they're very unwelcoming socially. They definitely are range cucks when it comes to actually shooting. Another downside of the Balts is I'd bet money Putin in all his autism has a deadman switch rigged to nuked aimed at them if he doesn't invade them before dying

Can you see the gas block? I've had some that were way off center and still cycled, you actually have a surprising amount of wiggle room since the port is so much smaller than the hole in the gas block. But look at it anyway, is it 45 degrees off center? A lot of people bump it when they install the handguard and knock it out of alignment.
>>
>>65445026
Unfortunately the 922r import law kills this dream, unless FM sets up a US based conversion operation (e.g Arsenal Inc / FNH USA) to restore the "evil" features on arrival, or if they import FAL pistols somehow (eg HK SP5).

Which stock is it? I know there is an a1 and a2 length screw in the back so if your stock is an a1 length the a2 will be too long.
