I can't wait for the inevitable Su-57 being downed by an FP-1 drone somehow. You know it's bond to happen since they're using them to hunt the drones and since zigger airspace seems to be crawling with them this time of the year.
>>
>>65360692
Russians put simple air-to-air missiles on some drones, and afaik they got some cheeky shootdowns that way. Ukrainians could probably try that, too, especially now that they've got a higher variety of drones.
>>
>>65360680

>not_my_problem.jpg
>>
>>65360741
The plane is at a much, much higher level. Zigger planes are fat bastards so for it to appear smaller than the drone means that it's probably like a half a mile above it at least.

so that drone is flying maybe 100-150kph, what is minimum speed for "5gen stealth fighter" that produce enough lift for it to be stable in air, must be like 300kph minumum.
Do they even think about bullets flying pass drone into buildings behind?

Visually spotting aircraft against the ground is substantially harder than against the sky, and the FP-1 isn't huge in the first place and is also comparatively slow so another cue you get, relative motion against the background, isn't as prominent as it would be with a "normal" aircraft.

They are using EFP warheads to punch through some armour and lightly armoured/fairly robust things like carbon steel oil tank storage. So there is a big jet of liquid hot shit going in there even if it doesn't look like much of an explosion.

Yeah but I was thinking wouldn't the molten jet be kinda limited in where it goes, while something spreading shit loads of flammable and fire suppressant system liquid or magnesium shavings or something mean the fire spreads to a wider area and spreads quicker? But as >>65360979 said, if you can just dump 20 drones on it, it doesn't really matter. My brain just thought that Russia would should down 20 drones and two getting through could be needed but then Russia AD is not there....

Then again I criticise the AD of Russia but I've not seen any other nation actually have to deal with this. I'm sure the French or Indians or whatever would struggle too if people started firing drones at them. You'd think every nation caring about themselves would be working on systems to deal with it but maybe not.
>>
>>65360985
in wildberries' defence, I'm not aware of any western companies that will compensate you for losses stemming from acts of war

They buy time, sort of the main thing with suppression systems if they'll give you either enough time to GTFO or for someone to get some real firefighting gear there then they've done their job. Actual extinguisher systems are a much larger, comprehensive system you can't really apply to a warehouse that could have anything from drums of paint thinner to lithium batteries.

>>65360987
Real fucker for Russia is the tyranny of distance in a lot of ways.
Sure it sucks to walk, ride a horse or drive a tank across it, but airborne is any time, any season and multitudes of ways towards a target. Like the launch point might be relatively static but once they;re in the air they could go through all sorts of convoluted ways and means towards a target. On a ground radar cross spectrum as well, these little buggers are tiny, plus your engagement range of 'what the fuck is that blip' might only be 5-10km out and that's not a lot of time to get readings.

Sort of why AWACS systems are so important, they extend the range and network in with all the ground based systems. At height, looking down they're also vastly better at tracking things even low down under 300ft/100m like these things are. A lot of people tend to think they're more about coordinating fighter response but the AWACS is vastly more important as an info hub, networked part of the kill chain and allocating out the right solutions for the correct threat.

There has definitely been Ukie helicopters lost during anti-drone operations. Could have been pilot error or a maintenance issue, but it could also be that the Ukies aren’t confirming any losses to drones to prevent the Russians perfecting their tactics.

I'm only partially aware of why Ukraine is blowing up these warehouses. Are the russians using them for military logistics? Are they so fucked they're having to source gear from the civilian market? Is it just a massive (deserved) "fuck you, kill the monke and leave or it's going to keep getting worse" kind of message? Or is it just an attempt to speed up the coming economic collapse?

Ukies are claiming the use of the facilities for storing and distributing military stuff (which is true) as a fig leaf for the western audience, but the real reason is simply to inflict economic pain with a side helping of bringing the war home to ordinary Russians
>>
>>65361213
>they're having to source gear from the civilian market?
this is at least part of the reason. Both sides obviously buy shit off the internet, but I don't think that the ukies are hitting the warehouses for that reason, I think they're just bombing whatever shit they can to inflict economic damage. The amount of military-related stuff that was lost in these hits is probably miniscule, but the total amount of money that literally went up in smoke is huge.
>>
>>65361232

They seriously fuck with Russian civilian commerce. That causes disruptions, discomfort and inflation. Not for long, large surface burns infect really easily and let your body moisture evaporate.

It takes special care for them to survive.

>>65361213
Russian conscripts only receive the bare minimum equipment and have to purchase the rest. This is where they get their gear, drone parts and even whole drones (minus the bomb) making it a valid military target.

The ukie strategy seems to be going after Russia's economy, after the oil companies this is the Russian state's second source of revenue.

Its crazy to think how much insane stuff the Ukies have done since then. From having that drone explode on top of the Kremlin to operation Spiderweb to total refinery, boat and consumer good death.

It's the best lie because it has basis with some truth. Russians did in fact install AA missiles on some of their shahed drones, specifically to try and shoot down the aircraft which target the drones. AFAIK they weren't successful, but that doesn't mean that the idea is bad per se - sometimes the issue is russians themselves.

There are a few specific major effects:
- tens of thousands of entrepreneurs/businesses went up in smoke in a single strike, people are bankrupt, lost income, can't pay debts, can't pay salaries to their workers, etc, small and medium business is getting murdered because all of them relied on infrastructure from Wildberries, over $5 billions worth of products burned in just two strikes, I imagine the number by now is probably up to $10 billion;
- this doesn't only fuck up the russian society, economy and stability, but also fucks up army supplies, since businesses operating on Wildberries became a second unofficial logistics and supply system for the russian soldiers, with everything from body armor, camouflage, radios, thermals, recon drones, FPV drones, drone components, parts and accessories, shit even gun parts and accessories are purchased by soldiers themselves directly because the retarded soviet army boomers either don't provide shit or don't provide enough;

The consensus of non-shill RU anons is that ukies are hitting these warehouses to:
1. create economic damage (a couple of cheap drones generate fucked up levels of losses);
2. force the russian society to feel the war even more;
3. disrupt some of the army supplies;
4. disrupt supplies for potential mobilization in October;
5. hit the regime oligarchs where it hurts, wildberries isn't just owned by some random businessman, there are signs that putin himself is involved through his proxy roldugin;

The "I'm not interested in politics" is the words of a man who has grown up watching everyone who has an opinion on politics get vanned or gulag'd, patriots and enemies of the state alike both get got.

It's not that they are uninterested in the political changes of the country, it's that they are claiming that they have never argued against the leadership and are good citizens and thus do not deserve to be put to the economic slaughter and must be recompensated by the state to continue to be good patriotic citizens.

All wars are different even with similar combatants, a lot goes on in terms of technology, support, allies and all that sort of stuff. Finland had some, but nowhere near the equivalent of what Ukraine has and the actual costs can be far higher. Even some old fuck like me when they sent me over to the middle east for the GWOT invasions, like my personal equipment was probably 30k, got 150k worth of vehicle, I ordered in about 2mil worth of radios for everyone, I was the dude who went around collecting Javelin systems from the armories so I had something like 50% of the countries stocks in a truck trailer.
Back then, $3-400 got you a dude with his gun, gear and probably half a years worth of ammo, food and spare boots!
I don't think costs have gotten much cheaper since the early 2000's for troops
They might have stabilised on some things like body armour and helmets, decreased for others like optics, nvg's, IR systems and comms
Its still an expensive business though equipping, training, mobilising and transporting people outside of the regular military forces, in Russia they're also cheaping out on everything and the life expectancy for an assault trooper as a result is only 30min in the field, getting blown up by a $400 drone. Its fucking madness

On top of that, its cost Russia about half its oil production and processing, they've lost 190 tankers in the Azov and Black Sea in less than a month, fuel spiked up to $12USD a gallon and now, people's rubber dicks and pocket pussy is getting all burnt up.

Welcome back ladies and gentlefags to Dong Grand Prix 2026!

Despite having a significant rally over the last few financial days in an effort to catch up to Zambia, the events of the last days have yet to catch up with Russia and Iran and only time will tell if the upcoming stumble turns into a fall.

Meanwhile up front, it seems our front runner Pounds Sterling is losing steam, but is still maintaining a respectable lead over second and third place, but with the Euro rapidly accelerating out of the left field to take second place from the United States Dollar, it looks like we could be having a tough fight for first place in the coming weeks if they can keep this momentum going.

It truly is an exciting, record breaking year for Dong fans, as the scramble for the lower and mid positions has not been so hectic or competitive since the Great Zimbabwean Inflation Explosion. And for the first time ever, Iran has managed the once in a lifetime achievement getting their currency worth a fraction of a Dong, ladies and gentlefags, a bag of random dirt from outside your house is worth significantly more than that at the moment.

Stay tuned for more exciting updates when we return to you this September for the third stage of the competition.

This is why war fascinates me so much. War turns up all human experiences to 11. Every joy is felt by the countries as a whole, every sorrow is lamented deeply and solemnly. In conflicts where the good vs bad dichotomy is as clear as in this one, it's even more pronounced in the defending country, and wider world. The whole of society says as a whole "not going to fucking happen" and decides to do whatever they can to support the war effort, even in the smallest of ways. Making molotovs with petrol and styrofoam, knitting camo webs with friends and family, making the fucking country into a cottage industry for FPVs. And they're all happy to do it, because it needs to be fucking done.

Here in Finland, people have been making all sorts of little things to support the Ukrainians. Some made metal wood stoves that could be used indoors in apartments for heat and cooking, venting smoke out the window. Small shit is constantly being sent up and more collected, since the beginning of the war, the large supermarket (it's the KKK one kek) near me has a plexiglass box where you can drop pretty much anything you want which you can buy from the store. It's never empty, and usually has stuff like first aid kits, sleeping bags, mats etc and it's been there FOR YEARS.

In a very real way, war really reveals what kind of a society you have. Ukrainians have faults, but by fucking god, I am impressed by their resolve, fortitude, spirit, the real yearning in society to move beyond their past and into a brighter future, to better their society for the good of the Nation, and they'll go into the streets to make sure that everyone knows where they stand. I don't think I'll need to go into length about what kind of "people" the ziggers are here.

In wine, there is truth about a person. In war, there is truth about the nation. I suppose it makes sense, given this comparison, that it would have similar effects to alcohol, but on a national scale.

Was sort of my personal motto in the military, its not so much that things can and often will be absurdly hilarious, but there's a dark facet to it as well that fate is very, very fickle and you can be a heartbeat away from the universe's ironic sense of humour when it comes to the punchline. By all means laugh, don't laugh too hard because sometimes you're the butt of the joke next time when they're handing out the lulz!
