>Iran flew Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) commanders, military advisers and missile- and drone-related equipment into Yemen this month, according to four sources, in a move that suggests Tehran is seeking to strengthen the ability of its Houthi allies to threaten Red Sea shipping.
>Four sources familiar with the matter, including two Iranian sources, Yemen's information minister and a regional security analyst, said Iran transferred the IRGC personnel and military-related equipment on a flight from Tehran to Yemen on July 13, a development that has not been previously reported.
>The two Iranian sources told Reuters that between 10 and 21 IRGC personnel, including senior commanders, were on the Mahan Air flight. The plane was originally bound for the Houthi-controlled capital Sanaa, but diverted to the Red Sea port city of Hodeidah after the airport came under attack by the Saudi-backed Yemeni government.

How did they manage to get a plane from Iran to Yemen without it being intercepted? It seems insane that the US and Saudis didn't question such an aircraft or see the risk.
>>
It's even crazier to me that the Israelis didn't just bomb the thing the second it hit the tarmac. Guess the US has told them to completely stay out of it, because otherwise that's a pretty juicy catch in a region with literally 0 air defenses.

You are responding to a bot.

You are buying into US weapon systems propaganda.
>>65361384
A very real consequence of the Iranians upholding their side of the temporary ceasefire is that the illusion of Israeli regional supremacy has continued without images of tel aviv being turned into gaza strip for contrast.
>>
>>65361466
Even at its height, Tel Aviv was nowhere near being destroyed. I'm not sure what the point being made here is. The Israeli population doesn't appear to care at all what their international reputation is, if that's what you're getting at. The Israeli leadership has also shown a healthy appetite for killing their enemies even if there is diplomatic blowback. They bombed Qatar last year with 0 warning. I doubt they'd hesitate to bomb Iranian leadership unless they a) truly didn't know, or b) were explcitly told not to in no unclear terms by the US.
>>
>>65361450
Probably were told that they were going to fly out on a certain day and would shoot them down then.
>>
>>65361473
that really is the only reason Iran hasn't attacked Israel lately. brown people complain that Israel is a mad dog, but yes, it's the only way to get respect from certain types.

Imagine being such a shitbag that all the other muslim countries (that aren't your direct proxies, at any rate) in the room would rather party with the jews than you and you somehow still have the nerve to act like you're not the asshole in the situation. It sometimes amazes me that iran has any sympathizers at all.

It's probably a civilian airliner that was conveniently filled with a bunch of civilians who all happen to be military-aged males affiliated with the IRGC. Exploiting the fact that real nations can't just bomb civilian targets willy-nilly. Average muslim perfidy, really

Yea, sure, let's go with that buddy.
>>
>>65366433
so you're going to ignore iran also attacking civilians and civilian infrastructure the past few months?
>>
>>65368437
Tit-for-tat strikes in response to their own infrastructure being hit, mainly done to dissuade further strikes, is not the same as an institutionalized and codified policy of collective punishment and domicide. Just look at the civilian casualty figures for both sides.
>>
>>65368483
So its fine to strike civilians and civilian infrastructure of non-aligned nations just because your own were hit? If your proxies do the same?
It's systematic terrorism and no different from the jews genocidal actions, and you're retarded trying to downplay one side over the other.
>>
>>65368507
NTA but that's how the global brown has operated for years, billions for terrorism, cheap knockoff weapons and disinfo campaigns against western countries, nothing for their civillians, lie & project when you get clapback
The only thing that hasn't happened yet is a significantly strong clapback to knock them on their ass desu

My headcanon is that this is a blackpowder cannon made on a relatively modern technology, probably sourced from USSR/Russians. That's why it has those(stamped?) grooves along the barrel and the dark green paint color looks like it's from Soviet/Russian military equipment. It seems to have a "flared" muzzle behind the guy's back, and the end in front of his face seems to be closed. It's a black powder cannon being transported to a firing position. This is what my brain told me when I saw it for the first time, and it's a cool enough fantasy that I have chosen to believe it regardless of its probability. It is now real in my head. A setting with different levels of technology being used on the same battlefield is fun and not completely impossible given various improvised weapons being used in conflicts around the world alongside normal, proper factory-made weapons, like the Syrian "hell cannon" being used alongside AKs(although this one seems to be rather professionally made).
