The Philippines is eyeing over 500 infantry fighting vehicles for its ground forces. Which IFV do you recommend?
>T-15 ArmataWhy did a fantasy IFV make the list?
>>65363366If it were me, I'd just get Bradleys since the only major threat is China and China still uses mostly Soviet tech. That conflict is a long ways off since they have to invade Taiwan first, then Guam, before China invades someone else. I'd honestly go for more jets than IFV's.
>>65363385And the Ajax, peice of shit doesn't work and fucks the passengers up.
>>65363387I think the bigger issue is the Moros and other Islamic separatists down south. Their V-150s and M113s got bogged down in Marawi because they didn't have enough organic firepower. An IFV would go a long way towards rectifying that problem.
those wheeled ones with wood slat armor they were using in that one muzzie city.
>>65363366Used, Bradleys.New, ASCOD's, since those are the only ones you'll get in a realistic timeframe.
Type 89 for geopolitical reasons.
>>65363444Japs have like 69 of these Type 89 IFVs, though.
>>65363409Armored vees are of minimal utility in SEA terrain. It's either mountainous jungles with impenetrable giant trees or heavily built up urban areas with narrow winding streets. IFVs and tanks will get bogged down or stuck in streets and get killed. In SEA, the Nam-style jungle fighter is still king.
They'll probably buy some gook IFVs, but most likely they'd get modernized M113 larping as an IFV
>>65363471Tell that the Philippine Army when they went into Marawi. One of the first things they did after that clusterfuck was put out an RFP for a new light tank/FSV so they could bring something down rubble-filled streets with enough protected main gun firepower to knock big holes through concrete walls and take out hardened positions. They had to go full Berlin 1945 on that city, and found their current "perfect" jungle fighter gear completely lacking.
>>65363366I don't know which fag made OPs image, all we know for sure is that they are a fag (imagine adding made up Russian ifv and the Ajax). Anyway here is the correct answer: AS21 Redback.
>>65363471t. Japanese Army, Philiphines 1944
>>65363503I think this is correct mostly. The South East Asian monkey-mind will pick something old, possibly secondhand. I wouldn't be surprised if they buy some old Bradleys if they become available either after Ukraine or before.
>>65363503A modernized Gavin is probably exactly what they need, desu.
>>65363366Please invest in Eastern Poland.
>>65363531>Boar suckHuh?
>>65363366>philippines-terrain is mostly jungle mountains and coast, literally only island warfare to worry about-enemies include china which will be fighting from maximum range or trying to invade with the lightest load possible, and communist guerrillas using nothing but handmedowns from the 80s at the latest-country is poor and disconnected as fuck with the main obstacle being lack of roads and bringing supplies to isolated placestherefor their IFV should be>amphibious and not between air quotes but actually rated for beach landings >light enough to go up wet dirt roads on mountains and not sink in mud>have acceptable protection against handheld antitank weapons and drones and not bother with anything else>have the best mileage an armored vehicle can get and have idiot-proofed maintenance
>>65363539we really hate the fuckers
> T-15 Armatathat thing didnt even made it out of the prototype stage
if the japs could actually manufacture (and sell) the type 89 then its the best political choice
>>65363369You will never be a real tank. You have no frontal arc resistance, you have no APS, you have no high pressure large caliber gun. You are a frankensteined overweight ASCOD twisted by stoned Israeli designers into a crude mockery of the Merkava’s perfection. All the “validation” you get is two-faced and half-hearted. Behind your back people mock you. The Armed Forces of the Philippines is disgusted and ashamed of you, your regional "allies" laugh at your ghoulish appearance behind closed doors. Real MBTs are utterly repulsed by you. Over a hundred years of evolution have allowed anti-tank teams to sniff out frauds with incredible efficiency. Even your dimensions look uncanny and unnatural to the enemy. Your freakish height is a dead giveaway. And even if you manage to get an ATGM crew to get a positive ID on you, they'll turn tail and not waste the missile the second you shambolically roll up to them with your laughable STANAG 4569 Level 4 protection. You will never be a capable MBT. You wrench out a fake Filipino internet defense force twitter post every single morning and tell yourself it’s going to be ok, but deep inside you feel the depression creeping up like a weed, ready to crush you under the unbearable weight.Eventually it’ll be too much to bear - you’ll drive into a ditch, sink into it, be unable to extricate yourself under your own power, and get your turret popped by an RPG. Recovery vehicles will find you, heartbroken but relieved that they no longer have to live with the unbearable shame and disappointment. They’ll dump you in a scrapyard marked with your original serial number, and every passerby for the rest of eternity will know an ASCOD is dumped there. Your body will decay and go back to the dust, and all that will remain of your legacy is a burnt out husk that is unmistakably an IFV.This is your fate. This is what you chose. There is no turning back.
>>65363409How do the flips still have problems with dirkas and commies? Just kill all of them.
>>65363573The dense, deep mountainous jungle (of which there's a LOT, the Philippines is surprisingly large) means it's very difficult to smoke them out, and even when you do, more come across from Indonesia and Malaysia thanks to a virtually indefensible maritime border. They literally call their buddies hiding out in the lawless jungles of neighboring countries (who can't handle their own problems let alone help the Philippines, even if they wanted to) to jump in some motorboats and come on over to continue the cycle. That's before taking into account the minority Muslim population in the south, which allows the terrorists to hide out amongst them, and the deeply corrupt political dynasties that run everything outside of Manila as virtual warlords and do their best to impede any attempt by central government-controlled forces to root around in their territory. Little hard to smoke them out when the vice-president's cousin or something runs the area as a fiefdom, and gets all pissy and calls his relatives to stop the Army and PNP from searching his turf looking for terrorists and commies, because he's worried they'll find the mass graves full of journalists and political rivals he's got in the jungle. So yeah, third-world problems all over the place.
>>65363453I'd have 69 with 89 Japanese IFVs(insatiable female virgins) too
>>65363531Why didn't the Poles call their IFV the "Witcher," if you know what I mean
>>65363366A swimming one
>>65363594why would theygeralt isn't a troop transport
>>65363531Imagine not investing in Eastern PolandCouldn't be me
>>65363503>most likely they'd get modernized M113 larping as an IFVYeah, unless an unexpected option appears, like the French or the Italians offering used vehicles at bargain prices. But under the current circumstances, they're probably more likely to send such vehicles to Ukraine, rather than offer them on the open market.
>>65363366OP is a faggot, worst case, he's a jeet>imginary russian IFV instead of BMP3>ZBD-97 which is stolen BMP3 larp and effectively just as shit, just not battle proven>(((AJAX)))>place swedish CV90 but not KTO Rosomak or that straight up upgrade called Borsuk>No Namer>no honorary mention of M113
>>65363389Thought the whole point of IFV is to turn infantry into cripples
>>65363503>>65363528are the turks looking to sell some AIFVs?the flips don't have much of a military budget so aren't going to be rolling gucci shit. the M113-based IFV is not a bad option here.
>>65363366An IFV is a transport, CV-90 and Ajax are not IFVs.
>>65363909Wat
>>65363942Apparently I was mistaken and the CV-90 does have a transport capacity, but the Ajax is an assault gun, not an IFV.
>>65363594Same reason they didn't call their F35's "Orzeł", innit. They hate fun.
>>65364002It really should have been "harpia". Letting people vote was a mistake.
>>65364004Letting people vote and then casting those votes into the bin was a mistake. And "Husar" not only makes zero sense, it also goes against the naming convention.
