What are FRTs:
Forced Reset Triggers (FRTs) are firearm modifications that allow semi-automatic rifles to fire more rapidly by automatically resetting the trigger after each shot, while still requiring a trigger pull for each round. They increase the rate of fire without converting the firearm into a fully automatic weapon.

List of platforms that offer FRT/Super Safety support or are currently in development, footage and recommended distributed sellers.

I want to buy either a MR556 upper or Colt IAR pretty much entirely to run it with an FRT. Which option would be better? I'm thinking on the 11" versions of each so I can put my suppressor on without turning it into a musket. I'm leaning towards MR556 because the 416 has a longer history of hard use while the IAR only has some limited service in like Singapore or something, although I know it is perfectly fine based on posts/videos I've seen of it.
IAR is still attractive to me visually and because of the heat sink system. Plus it being heavy as fuck would help with recoil mitigation.

I don't think people understand just how many illegal mgs are out there. There's a metric fuckton especially pre-FRT era. I live in a state with a lot of public land and there's brrrrrrrting going all the time and I guarantee 90+% of those people can't produce papers much less survive a search for engravings.

Nothings happening to them. It's a felony but if you're not going to committ another felony with it, you are not brown, or an idiot generally I think you're likely to be fine. Guys with illegal mgs are dying all the time and when their wives and families send them to morphys etc without papers is usually when Becky finds out her hubby had actually made more machine guns than David koresh.

Fuck government. The social contract is beyond broken, and they're still breaking it as Jamal kills 2yr olds by accident with switch only to get no jail time as you worry about holes in things like a pussy.

>>
FRTs are not a replacement for full-auto triggers in real combat. The adrenaline and stress make you lean into the trigger really hard, which causes most FRTs to jam.
>>
>>65378128
So it's just a leber that they made fit in a standard HK trigger housing? And they want $250 for it?
All the downsides of a leber but I guess it saves you $1.25 in filament to print a housing.
>>65378921
Real, correct, and trve. However full auto in your carbine isn't really useful to begin with so it's a wash.
>>
>>65378975
>However full auto in your carbine isn't really useful to begin with

Being on the receiving end of rifle caliber machinegun fire by someone who knows what they're doing is hella scary. There's a reason they dont want people to have it. One it generates paralysis even in non-amateurs and two it will cause mass casualties among juicy area targets like big crowd very quickly. At close range it can absolutely allow someone who has it to break contact and get away or make the untrained think they're dealing with something more formidable and choke.

I'm referring mainly to the "trigger kicker " as it was advertised not to work with piston guns.

But the 12.5 is so cool looking, happy for you.
>>
>>65368768
MR556 is probably the nicer, better designed option of the two. Regular Guy Training on jewtube has some really good videos on what makes it good. If you go with HK you get what you pay for, premium quality, bar none. If you go with the Brownells BRN-4, you at least get parts commonality with HK, as well as almost the exact same materials you'll find on any other well made rifle, thus being easier to replace.
Pistons will run cleaner in the long run, since it doesn't dump hot gas and carbon into the receiver like DI, especially when you put a can on it. That said, I think DI guns have more potential for greater accuracy by virtue of having less shit on the barrel. Both are very reliable when made well.

Fartsausage sisters, we're winning this battle. A year ago these things were hyper niche and early adopters were fearful of their legality. Now there are FRTs dropping every month for more platforms and they're getting better and more accessible. Mainstream vendors like Optics Planet even sell them now. They're ubiquitous across uncucked shooting ranges.

How many people do you think own these now? How many are out there in existence? This seems like the future for all rifles and PCCs, so long as momentum keeps going and more normoids keep adopting them.

The One Horse Express is the first gun to ship with forced reset functionality, but if things keep trending in our favor, we could see more manufacturers do so, including mainstream ones. Imagine a day when you could walk into any LGS and walk out with a factory three position Super Duty, SP5, etc.

>>
Are there any sites that just don't care and ship to any state?
Asking for a friend
I'm not a cop. Proof: NIGGER!
>>
>>65386775
you can DIY anything, quite a few guns simply borrow the super safety cam and lever setup with a different housing or receiver that can utilize the AR15 fcg parts. The ones that do not are the AK and some of the other more esoteric ones which haven't shown up yet like the FAL and PS90 as well as the handgun ones like the P320 which still isn't done.

The super safety is DIY and originally was designed to be printed but wear concerns lead it to be not exactly worth it to do so. There is a Send Cut Send version that uses laser cut parts as the wear surfaces which you can get cut out for a negligible amount of money and then do most of the finishing yourself. You still need to print out some parts and levers and the amount of cam movement is kind of funky but they will work. There is a Send cut send version of the Kabuto that is drop in for most AR15s with appropriate pockets but assembling and cleaning up is a process but thats also a negligible amount of money. The TX22 FRT is also send cut sendable and then you can clean it up with just a little bit of sanding and grinding but then you also need to potentially get new striker liners.

For you to get enough supplies to make like 20-30 of these its like under 50 bucks and then you just need to assemble them.

Most DIY work has slowed down though because the easiest and lowest hanging fruit has already been picked. For the cost though making them yourself costs almost nothing compared to what vendors charge. The TX22 in particular is almost not worth paying the 100 dollar price of admission for a 35 cent part. 10/22 frt is DIY but it needs a ton of work and other parts to work correctly.

DIY is not going to as drop in as a trigger kicker or a rare breed though, but its the own reward.
>>
>>65388618
Optics planet has been selling them for a year.

There are probably close to 2 or 3 million individual FRTs out in the wild now. By the end of next year you will see another couple million out there. The speed of adoption is going to eventually slow down but guns coming installed with FRTs is definitely a big change. Evidently there is a market for the consumer to get a product that just works out of the box. Atrius is so crap as a product it will likely have all sorts of issues lol.

>>
>>65393104

>>
>>65393204

>>
>>65393216
low shelf (which is required by a lot of FRTs aside from AZ regulator and cassette FRTs) and the cut trigger. I think the cut trigger is the biggest blocker here
>>
>>65393104

>>65393223
unless you meant just offering a factory option exclusively, there are FRTs for 10/22 already you can install.
>>
>>65393226
yeah, but if I was offering factory rifles and wanted to sell one with a FRT, I would go with the option that doesnt require the trigger to be cut because there is nothing to do. You just install the trigger. Cutting the trigger and potentially fucking it up is just one additional step that I can see a lot of seller not wanting to deal with. Not saying it's difficult to do, it's just that it's an additional step needed.

there was a video of a black guy shooting a glock FRT and a normal cop came by to tell him that the range was closed or something and he inspected his guns. He was interested in the glock with a different back plate that didnt have a switch or FRT. The one with the FRT wasnt inspected at all. The cop left afterwards.

I would be really fucking pissed if anyone inspected my guns or any reason really
>>
>>65394233
I think back when they were new, there were feds going around to confiscate or something along those lines. But if youre asking whether or not feds were called on someone at a public range for using an FRT, probably not

More in line with what I was thinking.
Just curious if we've hit the point where everyone is so desensitized to fast guns that they've begun to just assume it has an FRT and not bother to inspect it.

Ok, just arrived and decided to drop a quick update/first impressions.

Definitely getting why there is a complete lack of pictures on the parts. It's just a modified disconnector and a couple of 3d printed spacers. Once people get their hands on them I expect plenty of copycats at a fraction of the price to be out on the market in weeks or months. I don't begrudge them the price though, I have 0 problems with paying a premium to the first person to actually bring a neat idea to market, but if you are a budget oriented type you might wanna hold off for the $50 copycats. Quality of the modified disconnector is pretty good at first glance but I'd expect it to be considering. I wont have time to get it installed and function check the thing for a couple of days and will drop another update when I do. As you can see I'm pretty terrible with pictures, if anybody has a particular request then let me know and I'll try my best with some better lighting. Installation guide below for the curious.

P320fag here. Thanks for the pictures! its pretty clever honestly. but my immediate reaction was
>really?
Both of our systems require the complete disassembly of the FCU. But looks to me like theirs will require another dis/reassembly to put the factory disconnector back in, OR they will sell a stumpy disconnector without the side protrusion that acts upon the safety lever. considering they likely just stocked enough parts to get the bag before the race to the bottom im skeptical. but maybe they will later. They did the smartest move they could have i guess. I understand the short term but im looking long term. Plus the need for a different spring and guide rod for the compacts is interesting and ironic for myself. I tested my first prototypes on the compacts since they were the cheapest and didn't need such changes.

I was so sure they were going to go the Browning exploit route. so props to them for spicing it up honestly.

Only real update on my part is a 5K round torture test was done on the most recent revision and it held up very well. we'll see how the competition holds up.

Fun story, I actually asked texas triggers if they were interested in mine since i had no idea they were working on their own. They took my surface level info and ignored me kek. Thats life. Then they posted their first teasers on their instagram story that next monday, like back in april? I know i lit a fire under them, at least a little.

Update:

Set aside some time and got the thing installed. Doing a complete disassembly/reassembly any time you want to switch from FRT to normal is not something im looking forward to. They REALLY should at least drop a normal function disconnector for the thing. Hopefully somebody will come out with a 3 position(not sure how youd manage it but im not an engineer) in the next couple of years making that point moot. As far as changes in function go the thing seems to work at least with dry fire. The point of resistance when pinning the trigger back hard is during the unlocking and initial rearward movement of the slide. Pinning it back hard creates quite a bit of resistance. Only live fire testing will show if this induces reliability issues and a lighter press is required to alleviate that. I put it into a compact that's sitting in a raider chassis. I plan to test it with the stock spring first to see if swapping the spring/guide rod is actually needed for proper function. The next big hurdle is finding somewhere within reasonable driving distance of DFW that'll let me actually run the thing. If anybody has recommendations I would appreciate it.

Just wondering, is there any sort of class-action lawsuit against Cameron Smith and TwinBros for taking everyone's money and then scamming everyone by claiming "THE ATF RAIDED US!!!" and refusing to ship out any more SuperSafeties after they'd already been paid for?

I went looking at Cameron Smith's patent application filing for "his invention" of the Super Safety, and as far as I can tell it's invalid on its face because it was filed on December 4, 2024, whereas Tim Hoffman disclosed the Super Safety on July 21, 2023, sixteen and a half months earlier, far beyond the statutory limit for a post-disclosure patent application filing (even assuming that Tim "stole" Cameron's invention, which obviously he didn't, Cameron is just a lying scumbag and serial fraudster).

Is there any sort of invalidation proceeding going on against Cameron's fake and gay patent?

fartsausage is a toy at the end of the day. Its a very cool and funny toy, but it is still a toy. Its also a toy that can probably do good work for you if you let it, but don't be afraid if it breaks.

The only one I have seen that basically is indestructible is ironically a Rare Greed. I might trust a rare greed because I haven't seen them fail like super safety derived designs which all seem to fail around that lever snapping. The arizona regulator style may also work long term but they have some wear surfaces which doomed the kabuto style but idk.

Other FRTs for other platforms are toys, caveat emptor.

I'd wait on those. Allegedly BRP is making their own FRT option for the MG42. They're the guys who made the semi auto conversions in the first place.

there's at one review up for the texas triggers 320. looks like a mixed bag based on his testimony. one of the 3D printed spacer pieces broke very early on.
>picrel
who knows how long the other will last. maybe people can copy the part and make it out of a softer metal instead of plastic.

Yes, I own one. It's good but needs a lot of tuning compared to other frts. Also you 100% need a compensator for it due to how aggressive the recoil is. I usually do 2 to 3 round bursts.

I have an arc fire in my hk mr556a1 and it was drop in. I also have a geissele trigger I modified to worth with it too.

So just figure out the measurements, whip one up in CAD, and print a dozen replacements.

Why not just put a bipod on it?
>>
>>65419457
Yeah I was going to grab one. Just weird how difficult it is compared to an AR to make FA. Need a new BCG, dremel out something in the upper, plus a FA trigger is like $500.
>>
>>65420159
you can use the semi auto bolt and it'll still work with the ARC
>>
>>65420165
>>65420159
Want to be clear here, the semi auto bolt will still work with the HK mr55a1. a normal AR would need a FA bolt
>>

good video
>>
>>65420159
I didn't have to change my bolt or dremil anything in my mr556a1 upper. I also didn't have to change my buffer weight either. I just put the arc fire in and it runs great.

If anyone was curious, that's about an average 6 round grouping for a P90 FRT on top and that's a 6 round grouping for an SP5 FRT on the bottom

I just realized FRTs pave the way for slamfire shotgun possibilities. Not as cool as insane rates of fire for rifles, but still neat.

the M300 handguard worked out to be the lightest way of mounting a flashlight to an MP5 and with a direct thread Rugged Obsidian 9 I can also have a suppressor with it. Also it's the setup I dreamed of when I was a kid in the 00s that I've only been able to get now
>>
>>65424675
Those can fit together with direct mount? I have both but never tried. The 3 lug doesn't fit.

I really want an ARC but can't justify buying one. All ranges here are gay as fuck and BLM is nonexistent. East coast sucks. I wish I owned land.
