just bought a p229, planning to pick up the optics cut slide for it. which is the best optic available right now? i understand that sig uses their own footprint and we'll be locked to sig optics or rmr options with an additional mounting plate. the considerations here are ease of battery changes, quality emission and reticle, ironsight cowitness (hopefully with absolutely zero monkeying around with the stock sights), and preferably enclosed emitter. once i install a pistol optic i dont like ever removing it and i just switch slides if i want to go back to irons.
