Drop the rucks on this thing and have it follow light infantry on foot patrols so they can carry more ammo and essentials and the ARfags can stop seething about battle rifles weighing a few pounds more. Have MRAPS for patrolling roads and running missions over more predictable routes. Have Humvees as a cheap more modular and spacious support vehicle for POGs and Sgt Major to chase people down in for pissing behind the latrine.

Thats room to grow the humvee just doesn't have,

There is no vehicle that's proof against all threats, but those threats can be managed with good doctrine.
