Russia wins (loses) this at every step. APC/IFV?: BMD-4M built since 2004. Aluminum hull is too light to stop anything worthwhile, a heavy machinegun shreds it. Terrible ergonomics. Internal ammunition explodes and kills everyone inside. Air-Droppable is a complete meme in 2026. Typical Russian build quality. Terrible ergonomics. Tank: T-14 Armata: Engine and transmission is so unreliable it even breaks down in parades. No way to fix the design and no other engine to make it work. No way to see outside if a camera/sensor gets dislodged or obscured by the environment(mud). Basic combat conditions will render it unusable with no overrides. Everything relies on Russian electronics (kek) or it is a brick. Clean sheet design so there is no supply chain. Probably why they only every built like 10. Was supposed to herald a whole series of vehicle with shared chassis but was such a piece of shit the rest never came. Will likely turret toss just like a T-72. Tried designing it will a new gun, 152MM, but had to abandon that hope and still uses a 125MM. Offered the technology, for free, to India who declined to produce it. Such a piece of shit that Russia alleged had to pull it from even indirectly firing at Ukraine because of propaganda risks about its failure. IFV: BMPT Terminator: Doesn't. Carry. Infantry. I have no idea why this piece of shit exists besides massacring lightly armed civilians which a tank does better anyway. All the downsides of a tank when it comes to things like ATGMS, helicopters, visibility, holding terrain without infantry, etc. but also all the downsides of an IFV compared to a tank because a real tank kills immediately. Has multiple autocannons and the second one allegedly makes them both inaccurate. So many weapons it needed like 6 crew at one point. Wastefully expensive and gets taken out by modern ATGMs, drones, etc.. shares almost nothing with other Russian platforms either. Basically a shitty anti-infantry tank.
