you fucked up and kept some of troonbin's OP fuckery in there
Anyone shot or own one of these yet? Are they good? The ATC looks cool and the ATD seems like good competition for the M9A4 and P226
This fucker with the German slide and barrel does not like SWCs... I tried 2 different OALs at 1.219" and 1.245". All jammed. Working on some 1.230" SWCs to see if I just need a sweet spot before giving up lol

Reposting from last thread. How do I interpret these results? What does " thumbing" mean?
>>65373969These charts are mostly retarded. Taking a video of you shooting at this angle is much easier to spot any pre ignition movement (fancy words for movement before the gun fires). Typically horizontal movement is from input from your dominate hand as you pull the trigger. Up and down is from people anticipating recoil typically. Or not having correct sight picture, the chart can’t help you (even if it worked) if you weren’t aiming at the center.
>>65373969are these charts just astrology bullshit?

>>65373969>How do I interpret these results?Take the pieces of paper that they are printed on, wad each of them up into a ball, and throw them into a trash receptacle.
>>65374409The turbo versions could be tuned up to be pretty fucking hot too, without spending a fortune on aftermarket parts. The stock turbochargers and injectors were only good for about 220hp. But the stock engine internals were good for well over 300hp if you slapped on a bigger turbo, fatter injectors, and hammered some reprogrammed chips into the engine control computers. With the addition of H-beam connecting rods, the these engines were good for like 400-500hp while maintaining decent reliability. Which is fucking ridiculous considering that these little 4-bangers were outputting like 160hp from the factory.

>>65374681The slide is the lower portion, the part the red dot sits on is fixed and does not reciprocate. These .22 lr conversion slides are popular since you get a true 1911 trigger on a .22 lr with a fixed mount so your red dot doesn’t get shaken to bits (that was an issue in the old days). The frame is either a Safari Arms or Caspian (who made them for Safari). If you showed up to the range with that you’d have all the envy of the boomers 15 years ago. A lower profile red dot and it’ll be modern.
are 2011s actually good or is it just fudd guns

>>65374694"Good" is a nebulous definition and I'm not just being pedantic. Are they generally extremely high quality firearms? Indisputable. Are they worth the money/for the application you'll be using it for? Depends on you and your situation. Most modern production handguns are "good" but I wouldn't argue that 2011s aren't "great"
>>65374694Good if you like 1911 style guns. Like many other guns, how good/bad relates to how much money you are willing to throw at it.
>>65374698>>they have a gorgeous Beretta 76 that just showed up>>only $399>>rear sight blade and screw missing>>they aren't available anywhereJust buy it and you can. get the parts later as they come available.

How are pistol dots with astigmatism? As bad as regular dots? I have really bad astigmatism this isn't a "adjust the brightness and go outside" type fix, only my glasses can fix it.
>>65375255At high brightness my entire window is red. But since the window is so far away it’s not actually a big deal, put red on target, pull the trigger, it works as normal. You’re supposed to be target focus anyway
>>65375255Bad in the dark, especially bad in the dark without glasses2 moa dot looks good in light with glasses on though
>>65375259>>65375262I wish they would keep batteries in the ones at the store. Some of them have dots but I can't see shit without batteries in it.
>>65375255are you just fucked if you have astigmatism
>>65375267Unlikely but if there's one near you Range USA has been setting up really nice open displays of handguns and optics. Dozens of them outside the box and with batteries.
>>65375273Glasses all the time. For etched reticles I don't need glasses but I'm going to be wearing them anyway to see.
What about double astigmatism? Both my eyeballs are retarded. I just bought my first optic and now I'm worried about it being a waste of money.
>>65375296shooting is hardtrain moar
>>65375296Do you wear glasses? Have you used other optics?
>>65375307Yes, I have only seen an optic in real life once.
>>65375307>>65375315I'm thinking something like this will address the issue.
>>65375255What do you mean regular dots? They're all just light emitting diodes. It's the same thing whether it's on a pistol or a rifle, so if you struggle with rifle dots a pistol dot isn't going to be better or worse. The only actual differences are in the lens (aspherical or not, collimating or not) or instead projecting laser diodes through a holographic prism, none of which make a difference to my ligmatism. 98% of everything is a collimated LED whether it's on a rifle or pistolIn my ligmatism experiences nothing is better than anything else, except etched reticles with adjustable diopters. Green dot, red dot, amber dot, aspherical, heavy or light notch filter, holographic, doesn't really make much if any difference to me. Adjusting brightness to the minimum required makes a big difference. Medium-big dogs are a bit easier on the ligma than tiny dots. And I guess getting down to nitpicking, a minimal or nonexistent notch filter and extremely low distortion minutely help me specifically but I don't know if it's related to tism or just my weird eyes that don't like doing things independently. I can't shoot irons both eyes open for example
How common is it for thread protectors on the end of threaded barrels to work themselves loose over hours of hiking when in an open bottom OWB kydex holster? I like hiking and camping with a pistol with a light on it and normally I’d bring a G21 for that but the last few trips I’ve brought my M9A3 and I’ve been getting paranoid about the thread protector working its way off. Yes I use a washer and yes I know I’m probably just needlessly paranoid but still. I rarely bring my 9mm suppressor when camping so the threaded barrel isn’t needed, and I’ve just been sticking the barrel from my 92fs in instead when I bring it. And I retarded and paranoid about the stupid thread protector? I just imagine hiking for hours to get to where I want to camp only to learn then that the thread protector is gone and is lost somewhere in the miles of trails and I don’t want to be autistically drawing and checking like an OCD retard.
>>65375255I got lasik for my astigmatism and red dots went from blurry to crisp after the surgery
>>65375361What was recovery like? did it hurt
>>65375358Zero?A WASHER? Huh? Why do you have a washer on it? It's already metal-on-metal. If you're that concerned about losing it just take it off and leave it at home
>>65375358What happens if you lose the thread protector? You could put a tiny, little dab of rtv on the edge of the protector threads.
>>65375377I forgot the word rubber, a rubber washer >>65375382Nothing other than needing to order another one and being noided about damaging the threads
>>65375387Oh. O-ring.No it's not going to walk off, but again it sounds like this is a high burn brainworm for you so just take it off and leave it at home so you can focus on bug bites and vagabonds
>>65375358just buy one with some flats and torque it to something like 15 ft-lbthat or put a very tiny bead of red loctite on it or something
>>65374525added
>>65374792What's that on the right?
>>65375376It was not bad. I got home and cut/installed baseboard trim that same day.
>>65375393I’ll just try not to worry about it or continue to stick my 92fs barrel in if I can’t not worry about it>>65375395Those sound like dumb ideas 2bh but what does my retarded ass know
>>65375410Custom .45 2011 I built

>>65375428I imagine its W I D E
>>65375433Depending on grip module but it’s not wider than a standard 1911 with standard grips on it. It is more blocky and has more volume, so it’s a little harder to conceal than a standard 1911.
The one handed shot was almost pure luck, my dot was wobbling all over the place. I need to try this with more guns.

I don't even think it's realistically possible to lie here, only way I can think of is shooting a 9mm pcc/rifle instead of handgun, at same distance. 7 yards is like the closest range used for anything, and it's slow fire, only challenge is that the targets are small, and they are scaled by pistol in the picture, you can't print them bigger, so how much easier can you make it?
>>65375819If I have a good shoot then I post, if I don't have a good shoot... I still do ;)
