Do you really walk back to your car, and dump your gun when you see these signs?

(for the 5 people on this board that actually own guns)
>>
>>65375764
What is 51%?
>>
>>65375769
That's more than half your body weight that is a gun
>>
>>65375772
>>
>>65375764
>when you see these signs
I've never seen one of these signs.
>>
No, im way too lazy.
>>
>>65375764
The 51% sign is only a thing in Texas. I personally never was in a situation where I went to a bar with my gun while I lived there but I would definitely ignore a 30.06 sign since they're often improperly placed, or have text that is smaller than it is supposed to be, or fail to have a Spanish translation. Any of these technically makes the sign invalid.
>>
>>65375764
No. I don't live in Republican California so I don't have to deal with this.
>>
>>65375769
The establishment (normally a bar, club, some restaurants) derive 51% or more of their sales from the sale and consumption of alcohol on premises. Basically it's the "don't bring your gun into a drinking establishment" sign.
>>
I keep it to brass knuckles and a sap when going into a bar. And I'm not hanging out in some shit hole drinking place where being armed is a better idea than getting the charge packing in there.
>>
>>65376580
Arent they legally obligated to display this sign if they fufill the criteria? how else would this work?
>>
>>65375764
Not legally binding in my state so I carry. Only places I cant are hospitals, government buildings and school (still gov?). They recently changed carry laws to include bars and liquor stores.
If you get asked to leave because they saw your gun you still have to as its not trespassing.

Food for thought, should gun owners be able to request a sales breakdown from establishments to ensure their sale profit distributions do not interfere with your ability to carry?
>>
>>65375764
I carry wherever there isn't a metal detector or security at the door. If the only thing stopping me is a sign, then whoops I've suddenly suffered a bout of temporary illiteracy. If nothing is actually stopping me, then what's stopping anyone else?
>>
>>65376921
anon thats illegal...
>>
>>65377069
what are they gonna do? I have a gun
>>
>>65375764
Lol no. It's only a felony if you are dumb enough to get caught. Sometimes I'll pocket a .380 instead of carrying IWB if I know I'm going out and the bars might pay me down, but it's never been an issue IWB when I end up in a bar without planning ahead.
>>
I don't go to bars because I'm not an idiot.
>>
>>65376921
>>65377069
Most of us Americans are fully aware that following the law is a choice. We're also fully aware that if you're not caught, it doesn't count.
>>
>>65376606
i think you should be able to sue them extra hard if you are a victim of crime on their premises.
>>
>>65375764
>>
>>65377744
Law only works when its being enforced, simple as. tons of people ignore or break it every day without even noticing, but as long as nobody enforces it, then the law simply can't apply.
>>
>>65376602
It's Texas law the 51% establishment MUST display the sign near the entrance as part of their liquor license. So yeah. Every legitimate bar has one near the entrance. It must be visible and unobstructed. It's then incumbent upon the weapon carrier to know to disarm before entering the establishment. Only law enforcement are exempt.
>>
>>65375769
The portion of violent crime committed by African-Americans.
>>
Id rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6
>>65375811
also this
>>
>>65378271
>DL restriction: corrective lenses required
>sorry officer I left my glasses in the car
nothing they can do about it
>>
>>65375764
I love in a state where the sign is a suggestion unless they sell booze or is a government building and just plan accordingly.
>>
>>65375769
I used to be active duty in Texas man. I miss it there really bad : (
You cant carry a weapon in a bar basically if they derive 51% of their rev from booze its a no guns bar
>>
>>65375769
It's a Texas law (regulated by the TABC, Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission) that prevents carry in a place that derives more than 51% of its business from the sale and consumption of alcohol on premises. Applies to bars and night clubs, but not restaurants and liquor stores.
>>
>>65378363
Furthermore, many places display the 51% illegally. I've called the TABC on a gas station and two restaurants, and the signs were taken down within a week. You can check the TABC website to see what sign the business can display, red or blue. Blue is legal carry is permitted.
>>
>>65375764
Do people still drink alcohlol in 2026?
Do people still go inside of a building so they can spend even more money to drink alcohlol there?
>>
>>65378384
i guess somebodies got to take those bar flies home
>>
>>65378384
It's a multi-billion dollar industry, retard.
Trying to stop it resulted in the rise of organized crime in the US and the first federal gun control laws.
>>
>>65378398
https://news.gallup.com/poll/693362/drinking-rate-new-low-alcohol-concerns-surge.aspx
Boomer drinkers will die off and kill alcohlol
>>
>>65375764
I'm legally blind. I can't read that shit and implying I should be aware of it when that information was not posted in an accessible format is a violation of my rights. Unless you have it posted in braille (you know that's not happening), get fucked in the ass nerd.
>>
>>65378384
>Do people still drink alcohlol in 2026?
yeah
>Do people still go inside of a building so they can spend even more money to drink alcohlol there?
Only if they're over 40

I just make mead and drink at home
>>
Why would I drink around other people instead of drinking at home in a dark room?
>>
>>65378398
>a multi-billion dollar industry
so is the pet clothing industry. They're still faggots and wasting money.
>>
>>65378252
Hence...law...enforcement.
Whoa...
>>
>>65378427
FUCK THE BLIND AND THEIR FAGGOT SCREEN READERS LOL LMAO
>>
>>65375764
im sorry i can't read
>>
>>65375982
30.06 is basically toothless now with constitutional carry unless you're dumb enough to still have a Texas CCW. Ditto for 30.07
51% however applies to all CCW or not and has by far the most legal weight behind it
>>
>>65378498
This but unironically
>>
>>65375764
If I'm going drinking (exceedingly rare) I will not conceal carry.
>>
>>65378427
So in a self defense situation will you shoot at blurry figures?
>>
>>65381342
I'll just aim for the darkest blur and hope I guessed right

>English country requires a sign to be in spanish to be lawful
>>
>>65381357
You can blame Democrats and Jews for this.
>>
>>65375982
my ex best friend tried to shame me for not carrying at a bar we went to basically saying I was a pussy for being afraid. All it takes is one faggot calling the police and suddenly your life is ruined
>>
>>65382479
based ex boy friend, he was right
>>
I have a job working in the field for a vast array of client locations, and make every attempt to EDC, hers where I do and don't care about their firearms policy:
>anywhere they have a metal detector
The airport, huge sports venues, courtrooms, it's a no go cause you can't get in.
>Bars, shopping malls, hospitals, schools
You're not "supposed to" carry but if your concealment is good you have nothing to worry about and can take care of threats legally
>Military bases
Solid nope from me
>non-permissive office jobs
This is where you'll need a smaller gun, J frame or little .380 pocket gun, but carry here no matter what.
>>
>>65378431
Recipe?
>>
No

My life is more important than the legality of protecting it
>>
>>65375764
Just go back and bring out the field artillery?
>>
>>65377184
Should be abolished and establishments should be liable if any one is assaulted ,murdered or mugged on the property if a no weapons sign is displayed and or have insurance or armed security
>>
>>65382529
you can go to prison and get buttfucked if you want to carry for an hour in a bar, couldn't be me
>>
I think the real ultimate solution along with banning immigration and deportation of non whites and revoking women’s rights should be to make murder a federal offense and have death with speedy execution for murder with a firearms
>>
>>65382561
>honey
>water
>yeast (optional)
>time
>>
>>65382635
This. Any public space should be open carry or the owners should be liable. If you want your customers or employees to be disarmed, change your public space to a private one where randoms aren't permitted entrance. Like your home.
>>
>>65378363
Man, Texas is so much gayer than it lets on.
>>
>>65376921
Based. And should a manager os said establishment approach you and ask you to leave, you simply acknowledge with a "no habla ingles". Well, if you don't live in the southwest or pnw anyway.
>>
>>65375764
Nope. Stopped caring. Too many shitskins in our society want to kill us, and since the government doesn't care about my safety, I don't care about their laws.
>>
>>65384215
"Je ne parlais pas l'anglais monsieur. Je suis en vacances ici" has carried me fucking hard. People ask way less questions when they think you're Canadian
>>
>cant carry at a bar that leads to trouble
sure i get it whatever i dont do it anyways or get drunk

>cant carry at a restaraunt that serves alcohol lie based applebees

thats just jewish guncontrol there pardner..
>>
>>65379470
>unless you're dumb enough to still have a Texas CCW
Why? It lets you skip the NICS check when buying at a FFL.
>>
>>65386661
>cant carry at a restaraunt that serves alcohol lie based applebees
Except you can, retard
