Not that it matters, because I've never once been asked to prove I have a stamp for my rifle, but I know some anons are skittish about that, especially as a first rifle. Second, because it's a pistol, you can't but a foregrip on it. There are back and forth about whether an angle grip is legal, vs a vfg. Just be aware that legally speaking, any kind of foregrip makes it a felony. Again, I've never had an issue with mine, just be aware. Other than those things, that would be a fine first AR, until you learn what you do and don't like about it. Your preferences on optics, etc.
