Sure, but I think there was a paper that stated that exoskeletons weren't really worth pursuing in the grand scheme of things unless you were willing to invest in keeping the backs of Artillery and supply units from being worn down at their current rates.
Theyre not dead, they're just shit so they're in limbo until power supplies improve. The raytheon suit was unusably large and ran off of a lawnmower engine, as did the Hulc. Talos ran off of batteries, but didn't last long enough to be useful (same problem as the rest) and socom realized none of their personnel wanted to wear it. Passive exoskeletons have seen limited use in several countries, chinks, Russians and Ukrainians have them, most western countries dont care because theyre waiting for practical powered designs.
If a breakthrough in battery technology occurs, it seems likely that it would be used to enhance drones before battle suits.
