>>65385115Now post side-view pics. She's an ugly bird
>>65385156She is a cute! Do not bully her
>>65385186Dios mio. Boeing X-32 tier aesthetic design
>>65385260Nose geometry is refined
>>65385273I think this is the latest landing gear arrangement, makes the plane a bit lower.
>>65385274Is it just the angle the picture was taken in or did they change this part?
Does it actually fly?
>>65385296Yes, P0 flew in 2024>>65385290Yes, it seems there are many changes on P1
Kaan, KE and AnkaNow Turkey has 3 low RCS jet planes that has IWB capability.
>>65385115isnt that project pretty much dead now that turkey will get the f35s?
>>65385634Nobody in Turkey view US as a reliable ally, so the project will continue. It’s also a common misconception that Kaan is meant to be a substitute for F‑35. In reality, it isn’t. This program was initiated in the early 2010s, at a time when Turkey still maintained good relations with the US. This has always been a standalone project.
>>65385634>now that turkey will get the f35sJust like ukies will get Patriot license, right?
>>65385115>Second shit rolls out from butt
>>65385675>Nobody in Turkey view US as a reliable ally...The feeling is mutual.
>>65385349Godless gooks in worst korea couldn't do any launches from internal weapons bay, but Turks did, twice. Should give a hint.
Why does every single new plane look like a fake and shitty F-22
>>65387213that's a combination of china stole a lot of the f-35 and 22 program data 20 years ago, sold it to whoever could pay enough, and Turkey is obviously using their f-35 production facilities they should have never been given to make this.
Sensor locations and various difference with P1The plane is going to be a flying sensor suite
>>65388064And it seems, X band radar, ECM and DIRCM will be installed on the tail cone
>>65388064>Togg in the same photo with Kaan
>>65385115salam alley cum
Imprrehesiff
>>65385115>turkey is developing better 5th gens than the chineseI guess roaches are a superior insect after all.>>65385675All joking aside the key difference between US MIC and everyone else is on full display here. Look at the size of the thing. Look how fuckhuge it is. Miniaturization (especially in engine tech) is a huge indication of how advanced a manufacturing base is.>but it's big to carry more weaponsNo, it's big because there's no way to make it meet flight demands without engines of that size.>but the F-22Is a 35 year old design at this point and hasn't been in production for over a decade. At least it does only have two engines, unlike the wundereaffle wank the chinksects throw around.
>>65388286It's true Americans can make it smaller, but even for America, there is no good reason to go much smaller than F-15 if you want to make a real long range fighter, or even, just any manned fighter at all these days given that drones are increasingly positioned to fill the small fighter space, while manned platforms take a bit more strategic role. The F-35, for example, will never be a truly long range fighter no matter what. You can only optimize to a point. That's why F-22 were not retired and F-47 is a thing. If you ask pilots of otherwise good planes what they wish for in combat ops, their response is the same: More fuel. More missiles. You don't get that by making the plane smaller. Some of KAAN's size is indeed because there is lots of insurance built into the design to cope with the manufacturing base not being as solid, but the KAAN is also big for reasons beyond that. Simply put, Turkey wants a more strategic class fighter. The air force is basically 100% F-16 but with a constantly growing need for further regional reach. There are already unmanned planes operating that far or doing day+ long patrols but F-16 doesn't have the reach or the staying power to properly accompany. Turkey has tankers but that's adding more problems. Meanwhile the unmanned Kızılelma and Anka-3 are coming online to fill the F-16 size class. Also there is Hürjet which is a small jet trainer if it comes to that. However, Turkey doesn't have other big jets like B-21 to internally carry big stuff, so that job is for KAAN too. So basically when Turkey got the opportunity to set their specs for a national platform they compensated hard and went big to fill a more strategic capability.TL;DR: It's big to cope with F-16 trauma above anything.
>>65388511Kaan will probably have 11-12 tonnes of weapons payload capacity and will have 1100+ miles combat radius with clean setup. When needed, it will be used as long range bomb truck
>>65385115Free food for Rafaels and Meteors.
Mashallah i guess. not sure about the name though. it reminds me of Kanaan, which i'd like better. or New Kanaan. possibly Kain, if you'd prefer. or at least use the full name, James Kaan
>>65385305Some Turk weapons journo said P0 was made as a ground test article but then they decided it was good enough for a first flight as a tech demonstrator type of thing to see if the fly-by-wire really works.>>65388776There is a Meteor equivalent in development too BTW.>>65388790The English translation should be Khan like Ghenghiz Khan.
>>65388776Rafale couldn't even defeat J-10.
>>65387213Same reason basically all rifles look like ARs and Glocks.
>>65387213Because they want stealth but they don’t feel cocky enough to give up maneuverability and make a tailless sci-fi bullshit triangle.
>>65388125appropriate car for it considering togg is effectively states as well
>>65389037Greek airforce will eat those planes raw lol. Bootleg F22
>>65388511>RangeSqaure-Cube scaling law.Take any jet, then halve the size in length/width/height. Now it can fit 1/4th the fuel. The efficiency gained from smaller size reduces the fuel use rate ~40%If we take an F-15, which is about 1,000 miles range internal fuel only, and scale it the way I said you'd get something 2/3rds the size of an F-16 that only fits 3,500 pounds fuel with 450 miles of range.
>>65391250Turkish drones are already running air to air combat missions. Greeks will experience a rude awakening. Far worse than what armenoids experienced in 2020
>WE KAAN
