I want to learn more about military aviation(history, tactics, how the planes work, etc.)
What are some good books, documentaries and Youtube channels to learn about the subject?

i like this guy but unless you're a mechanics/engineering buff his content might be a little too complex for a beginner

this guy is a bit more entry-level

You are best studying technical drawings and the actual guides published by the military itself.
USN publication from the 1980s: https://server.3rd-wing.net/public/Photun/Manuel%20combat%20aerien_Fighter_Combat-Tactics_and_Maneuvering.pdf
What the USAF uses for advanced training: https://static.e-publishing.af.mil/production/1/aetc/publication/aetcttp11-1/aetcttp11-1.pdf
1980s version of the above: https://www.scribd.com/document/670023269/At-38B-Phase-Manual
F-16 specific (in French): https://ec05.fr/EC05/images/stories/Document/General/F16-Fondamentaux_du_combat_aerien.pdf
Helicopters ops slideshow from Senegal (in French): https://www.scribd.com/presentation/812350445/GATA-1-APPUI-AERIEN-MAJ
Guide from Peru (in Spanish): https://bibliodoe.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/capitulo-21.pdf

If you can obtain technical drawings then that will help functions, but also learning flight principles helps. Start here, this is a gold standard for universities: https://www.rexresearch1.com/AeroEngineeringLibrary/FundamentalsAerodynamics.pdf

If you want books on history, look around, but as a general rule, the best books are more specialized and from specialized publishing houses with limited runs, et al. Be prepared to pay $$$, unless you are really savvy. BookFinder and Archive are your friends, as is AI in giving details such as page counts focus (image guides versus actual books), but local bookstores are perhaps an even bigger asset if they are cheap ones and not boutqiue market bookstores (in other words, rented out storage units, car boots, libraries and markets are the places to look).

>YouTube
Garbo resource to be quite honest (the only good guy for history focuses strictly on civilian vehicles these days). Though, Historical Aviation Film Unit has some good videos too.

I found this quite interesting from an operational perspective. Fascinating read considering, on the face of it, nothing actually happens. Nothing kinetic, at least.

Wasn't that proven to be false?
