elevation equation I figured. You need one charge per 5km bracketElevation in degrees=60*(range in km/max range of charges in km)
>>65404002Its pretty fun but by no means the gigabrain game its made to be. >enjoys lobbing mortars in Squad and Arma
>>65404027The simplicity of the elevation calculation tipped me off to that. The topographical map is a little hard to read
>>65404002Sorry, too busy managing my post-apocalyptic interplanetary hypermetabolic clone army pmc against cyberpunk dystopian corporations and interdimensionally invading demons from Hell who I sometimes also commune with

Bought Doorkickers 2 recently, it's breddy fun (but also lowkey frustrating as fuck sometimes)
I'm still stuck on the mission where you have to kill a T-72 with a bomber drone. I know where the weak point is but it's a small target and you only get two grenades.
>>65404027It is by comparison. Iron Nest is no Europa Universalis but it's far, far bigger brain than COD n<insert number here>
Not a big fan of planes.
any of you dirteaters playing brigador killers? well the demo.
>>65404500yup. fun times. a bit tedious to collect shit in the open demo though desu, though I think part of that was me not using grenades for a while not knowing you could just cheese them by not throwing the last one and getting it when you go home.having more fun now that I've got a big arsenal. vehicle shit is still a PITA though, since on the big missions that you want to bring your gigapimped ghettomobile with you, you need to bring a garbage truck instead.haven't messed with the pit scenario.
The real /k/ game is OpenTTD because it's plainly and fully autistic.
Rixas, presuming development continues
>>65404500yeah, and I've been loving it. I can't wait for the full game.
>>65404703>>65404504hell yeah. i think my favorite gun was that coilgun thing. it had a pepperball/paintball gun ammo tank but then 2 rails that i assume the metal ball bearings are flying through. it was pretty decent too.
What was lavochkiin thinking with this cockpit man? Why does it have great visibility except in the one fucking spot that is most important?
>>65404002The mech design is unrealistic. The turret is clearly based on the WW2 Bismarck turret but there's not enough space underneath it to house the machinery and ammo hoists. The mech is also top heavy and will topple the moment the guns fire.
>>65404783yeah, but the game is cool, so I don't care.
>>65404500Just listened to the audiobookWas bretty good, would listen to whilst killing corpos for great leader to
Napalm napalm sticks like glue
>>65404783In-lore the guns aren't loaded via traditional ammo hoists, but rather 'French-style 12 round autoloaders' behind the guns. All other ammunition is carried/loaded via convoy accompanying the turret, which is actually relevant in one of the missions
>>65404955The drum indexer features heavily in the game's trailers, too.
>>65404298Does anyone else hope we're actually piloting real drones and don't know it? An Ender's Game type situation.
>>65404298Do you play this with an Xbox controller like ukies do?
>>65405738You can but they recommend using a real drone controller, since all of the modern radios can plug into a computer and work as a USB joystick.
>>65404783>>65404955If they wanted to be realistic it would be battleship sized recoilless rifle like that Nork prototype but with one barrel and a revolver magazine.
I've been learning Graviteam over the last week. Got my first minor victory in Mius front and secured a total victory in the first tunisia campaign as the goymans. Of course, that one is a bitnof a forgone conclusion it seems, because the wehremacht gets panzer 4's and 3's while the allies get M3 stuarts (albiet a shit ton of them) and what seemed like a single company of M3 GMCs
Not very many good multiplayer campaigns out for the kiowa it seems. I might have to learn how to build them myself at this rate
>>65405944>>65405957I'm sorry jannies it keeps sageing and I can't delete them
>>65404002>>65404027Isn't there exactly the same game coming out soon but with German autism?Panzerkanonenabwehrartilleriekommandant or something like that.
>>65405965I think you mean "kommando panzerabwherkanone"
>>65405965It's planetenverteidigungskanonenkommandant. Which just means "planetary defense cannon command"
>>65405988>>65405979Does it look cooler? It sounds cooler.
>>65406021Kinda no desu. There isn't much media out on it but it looks like they're going for more of a retro-futuristic life sim vibe
>>65406028That sounds cooler too.
>>65406021it's kind of like Papers Please meets The Guns of Navarone
Zoomer games are all gay as fuck desu. Incredibly derivitive, lack anything approaching innovation
>>65404091>>65404092I thought you were talking about Stellaris lmao
>>65405957Becausce the Kiowa's future is uncertain. Like my beloved Strike Eagle :(
>>65406091Wat
>>65406178Very different. It’s a turn based tactical extraction game set after the biblical apocalypse in the solar system where you manage a pmc doing the dirty work of corporations, religious groups, and random political groups while navigating interdimensional demonic invasions. It’s fucking awesome, tzeentach did a review on it while it was in EA
>>65406822*ssethtzeentach
going to bed soonbought these two on a whim. did i do okay for a retarded zoom-zoom
>>65404783If you want to complain about something, complain about the fact that there aren't any range finders despite the model showing them. You can also complain about the fact that the turret elevation screws are oriented in the wrong direction.
>>65404504Protip: Learn to speedrun the pit for easy cash/weapons. You can go in naked and walk out with enough of everything to do whatever you want.
>>65404002>double schwerer gustav(originally a "dreadnought" turret) on legs with a six round revolver autoloader per gunWackier than the wackiest napkinwaffe ever concieved.
>>65405901Holy fucking based
>>65404091>>65404092I have been playing that game since Sseth made a video on it while it was still in an early stage. I have +80 hours and I'm still going strong. Just today, I was doing some cleaning mission in mercury when the quasimeter got maxxed, some big guy appeared and then the meter got down to zero again. Eventually, I found a room full of corpses. The local PMC managed to kill whatever lord of hell that appeared...
>>65404763Been flying it for a couple of weeks now since the EA, kinda started to get the feeling its doa.Even during a weekend theres barely enough people to fill the combat box server and VR performance is laughably bad. Oh and the Sabre has wings made out of glass.
>>65407772If they just did a free demo with one plane for people to try it out, that would help. Seething at negative steam reviews isn't working. I quite like the game and find a lot of it impressive, but the target audience is niche within a niche.
>>65407778It has its moments online and the mix of early jets and fast props leads to some very interesting fights. Cant say I care much for the drama or the devs having a delicate ego. but the VR performance is abysmal and looks like an absolute eyesore.
>>65404763maybe the armoured glass is not modelled fully
What's the best Empire: Total War total conversion mod? Looking into reworked global map, don't want any cringe like France as a single province.>>65404002Doesn't start, sadly.
>>65407551>Don't worry fellow Abrams crews, T-62 platforms can't hurt you>The T-62 they are talking aboutIt was roughly equal to a Iowa Class turret, probably threw significantly more HE. Lack of range and an approximately 10 acre lethal back blast area were the only minor issues. With rocket assist it would probably BTFO a TOS like the TOS was tiny baby. They should bring it back, who cares if it is practical.
>>65404002Maybe some day Ballistic.exe will come out. I need something to fill the void Reciever no longer fills.
>>65407760I’m learning on the harder missions it’s actually a decent idea to run up quasimorphosis because it can cause hell for elite pmc kill teams.
>>65407551>>65407869>lethal to enemy, regardles the direction it is facing (or firing)Commerade, what "collateral damage'? That's a lie, made up by decadent capitalistic imperialists in the West, who are afraid of our Glorious Leader and flame of revolution burning in his heart!

Fuck yeahIt took me 27 minutes to plot it out though.

>>65404251I just treat it as a puzzle game and don't play campaign, plus I only like doing maps you can get the single plan medal fromIt's a bit too random to be fun for me otherwise
>>65404091>>65404092>>65407760Ah yes, Quasimorph... Or what I call Peekaboo.>Peek around corner>Oh shit, too many guys to kill>Use remaining AP to duck backor>Peek around corner>Kill the guys>Move onAnd don't forget, you're mid-late game and you're fighting Day Dream Chems and damn you don't have protection against their weapon type. Oh, I know, I'll get an armour that protects from that! Ignoring I now have to go through a wiki to find this a lot of the time, I learn that the best armour to protect against Day Dream Chem units is gotten from... Day Dream Chem..... Who will only give you the armour if you help them. OH.So I take off all my equipment and clothes, run fully naked with an axe, Leeeerooooy Jenkins a Day Dream Chem guy and loot his shit. I do this every time. Because dying loses all your equipment.>But anon, all the stats and builds an-Shut the fuck up. There is no logical reason why a 9mm does 'Blunt' damage but .42 does 'Pierce' damage. But you better fucking check every single fucking mission who you're facing... And then exit the mission screen, go to the trading screen, checking the tech level of the faction you're going to fight, then look at the equipment they have for that tech level, then check what weapon they have, what ammo it uses and oh no none of this info is actually given to me in game, so tab out, go to wiki, check the equipment and ammo and oh shit that's a different type of weapon damage so, tab back in, unequip my guy, put on the armour for that specific weapon and go to the mission.... Which is Skull 2, Conquest and 3 floors... Is this difficult? Is it easy? I don't know. None of the information here tells me what this actually means. But it doesn't matter anyway, I play the same way as I did before. Move forward, right click behind me (since turning is free but enemies will come behind you and you can only see in a cone in front) and any corner or door I peek behind as I said above. I could go on.
Call to Arms Gates of Hell with Conquest scratches the itch of RTS game with decent (but not too much) complexity, tactics, graphics, destruction, and progression without having the horrendously complicated controls of some other games, aswell as having a sick ass direct control mode
>>65410227also has nice mods for cold war, modern war (including Ukraine war), Warhammer, and some other stuff
>>65410227I burned out on Men of War-style games long ago
I hate the plane controls. Otherwise, this is an incredibly based game.
>>65410472Planes are the worst part of that game easily operating a completely different realm of physics to the rest of it, otherwise yeah its surprisingly good. Makes Bluedrake42 seethe anytime someone mentions it which is funny.
>>65406845Pacific is fun.
>>65410472maybe Im too used to the editor system of ARMA, I have a fairly difficult time with ER2's mission editor. The map builder's really neat tho.Oh and the AI isnt too good. I really do like it tho
>>65404002I played the demo and was sorely disappointed. The game falls apart when there's not much time pressure, the plotting is just transcribing into drawing what the teletype says, basically no logic is required, and all the rest of the actions are just busy work that's fun the first few times and then you're stuck looking at the animations for the gorillionth time. The ballistics are all wrong, and there's no consideration given to the angle of impact, dispersion, and so on. Narratively, it makes no sense that such an important piece of equipment is given to a solitary retard because 1) it would take dozens of people to operate it, and 2) the single guy goes rogue and suddenly your capital gets turned into rubble.Allowing legs for the obvious rule of cool, the design of the whole thing is beyond stupid: setting aside how much space is wasted, the turret is an enlarged Bismarck turret, the art shows the ears, yet no optical rangefinder inside; worst offenders however are the frontal window since it's a massive weakspot, and the jack screw elevating the guns going through the top of the roof instead of residing in the turret well.
>>65410604>Narratively, it makes no sense that such an important piece of equipment is given to a solitary retard because 1) it would take dozens of people to operate it, and 2) the single guy goes rogue and suddenly your capital gets turned into rubble.Gameplay concessions must often be made. But I think you could get an effective real life crew for operating it while fully loaded with as little as 10 people.
>>65410604>there's not much time pressurethat comes later
>>65410567I think they just updated the AI and are focusing on improving it further?
>>65408850>having to do SEAD before dropping a nukeThe funny thing is that if you've wiped every AA asset down to SHORAD you don't really need a nuke at that point.
>>65404002>>65410604Honestly, I think something like Iron Nest would make great sense as a revival of the "starship bridge crew" games that morphed into modern friendslop. Make each task a bit more complicated and divide it up between a crew of 4 or so and you'd probably be able to sell well, especially if you offer a 4-pack sale or something.>CommanderNominally in charge, is the one that gets to actually pull the trigger and drive the big stompy gun around. Maybe gets some radar screens that need to be monitored to avoid counterbattery fire or something>GunnerIn charge of actually plotting the firing solution, probably the most involved task.>LoaderLocated in the ammo storage, the loader has to use a bunch of heavy equipment to ensure the proper ammo and propellants are being supplied. This means playing a constant game of organizing the magazine and planning future shots, as well as making do with what's available.>Radio operatorMonitors multiple radios simultaneously, as well as having an overall picture of the battlefield. Has to take in fire support requests and relay them to the rest of the crew, as well as decode high-priority textual messages sent from high command. I envision an average play session starting off smoothly, then slowly descending into chaos as tasks and problems pile up.>loader is trying to explain that he knows the gunner did the calculations for a medium shell and standard powder charges, but the medium ones are all in the back of the magazine so he's sending up a heavyweight, so just redo the firing solution>radio operator trying to tell commander that actually we should scrub this shot entirely because an urgent fire mission just came through and the other one should wait>loader is mad at commander for moving the mech because he loses hydraulic pressure in his ammo crane when it's in motion>radio operator telling everyone to shut the fuck up because he's listening to three different channels and trying to decode a message
is hell let loose vietnam going to be any good? was there any alpha/beta access that someone has an opinion on?
>>65412639Should base it off of WW1 railway guns. That way you need to have your own personal chef and dining carriage.
>>65412665HLL was bad especially at release so I don't expect muchRS2 was a janky piece of shit and I still loved it, seems like it isn't such a high bar to clear but devs still fuck it up time after time

The mission where you lose your ballistic computer is really fun. Turns out calculating shots manually is a lot faster than using the computer. Make sure you check your charge range chat :^)
>>65411722The blast radius of a 250kt is large enough that you can pick a target outside of effective AAA range and still kill the AAA. What I normally do is pick two targets at opposite ends of a base and drop two nukes, which usually results in one of them getting through and wiping out the whole base.
>>65412665Played the last two playtests. It was extremely rough. The first was so bad they delayed the game after it. The second was chaos, not in the good way, because cross platform. I cannot imagine they have it all figured out by now. Aside from normal gameplay issues you expect the player base seems to be much more stupid than HLL. Like they are all RPing as Project 100,000 soldiers.
>>65414268I got lucky and nailed the enemy field commander with a drill shell
So I've only watched a guy playing some of this, and I'm sure it's much more fun to play yourself, dialing everything in.But the whole thing just seems like an abstraction on mini-golf.
>>65408850If your nukes are being intercepted by 35mm AAA, then they were going to fail anyway.
>>65404027I just learned how to do this in Arma and everything snapped watching the trailer. So many war crimes are going to take place
>>65404091>>65404092Worth recommending but it's in Early access
>>65404488
>>65413397Anyone? I'm torn between these two.
>>65413397>>65416075Generally the AK-74M is preferable, most mods have some annoying animations for the 74U with a very time intensive stock unfolding anime. It gets really bothersome whenever you switch equipment or if the mod has animations for any activity/item.
>>65416128But the AK-74M has folding stock too?
>>65416142Yeah but afaik most mods don't use animations where it folds out. Generally those seem to be only a thing with skeletonized stocks, no clue why.
>>65416066I wish the mid-mission dialogue wasn't so fucking shit in this game, I assume the dialogue outside of missions is just as bad.
Anybody here play WARDOGS tests? Out in four weeks.
>>65416279I honestly can't call it particularly egregious, sure it can be a bit corny and simple but it's ok.Although my favorite kill response is Lim and Pike chuckling which isn't a dialogue at all so...
>>65416348Pirates shouting about how killing people makes them cum or telling me to breath manually is something I will call particularly egregious. But I never liked borderlands' dialogue or tone, which seems like what the devs were going for with this game's characters.
>>65416352Personally I do not mind it for them. To me it seems on brand for a cliche pirate pumped full of drugs but I get how that might be a bit too lazy/crude of a depictions.
>>65416362A cliche pirate seems to me like he should be threatening and not an unserious clown. The trailers certainly didn't make it seem like the pirates would be trying to turn the game into a comedy skit with some help from some of the characters.
>>65416373The idea that was floated by the devs is that the more serious people are supposed to be operating behind them and the grunts are talking to us, though as it stood when I last played it this didn't really come across so much.
>>65416385I hope the game will at least be bearable without dialogue boxes. Is there a mod for that?
>>65416396>Autocannon being fired that close to infantryTheir hearing loss will be found to not be service related.
>>65416467It's just the coaxial MG so they'll just have regular hearing loss instead of mega hearing loss.

>>65416847The buckmaster is an incredible vehicle in game. Probably one of my favorites next to the coffin.
>>65413296>>65413289I gather that, mechanically, this is a deranged Golf game?
>>65416544>>65416847>>65417292Rope Kid, Lockdown plus Ma Deuce.
>>65417314No, it's Cooking Mama meets Silent Hunter: you're buttoned inside a metal coffin where you carry a series of repetitve tasks to perform under increasing time pressure, all revolving around plotting a firing solution after deducing the enemy's location, which is trivial, but from what I've seen both you and the target are stationary and there is no actual ballistics involved, so there's not much complexity. In a sense it's closer to pétanque than it is to golf or minigolf.
>>65417342Varlet, Faker, Black Hand and EMP
>>65407789this reminds me of that old FW190 vid of a german explaining armored glasshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l7nLTeNStX8

>>65410604yeah. the game has very little for the autist crowd and isn't visual enough for the mainstream. Luckily there are enough dumb pseud nerds out there for it to have 98% positive reviewsto friends, I've compared it to those mobile games where you have to make hotdogs or pizzas on a timer>>65412639this would be sick. Add in PvP multiplayer modes and I'm in
>>65420591>pvp Just sounds like it would be an attrition of requisition points. >pre plot fire mission from new grid>while enroute do all your loading and laying>fire the second you arrive >ballet of Iron Nests until they run out of points to moveThat said the data cards the computer spits out makes me think that IN was always meant for multiplayer. The aiming degree is already saved on your clipboard when you plot the angle and range. Its simple enough to math out the range mentally for most missions so the card the computer gives you is nearly irrelevant. But giving the card to someone who wasnt in on the calculations who is running the loading part of the shot would find it very valuable.
>>65420651Well, MP is on their roadmap now, so...
>Based off the Bismarck's turret>Can go beyond 35°Lmao>Max range is at 60°Kekw>>65412639Split the gunner into map plotter and gunner. One does the targeting, the other computes the firing solutions for each gun. While one is busy on a target, the other can take care of a different, already defined one. No time wasted.Better yet: adapt this to singleplayer.Be a commander that manages a crew. Assign people, give priorities, dispatch orders, take direct control of a station if needed (like if a crew member dies during counter battery - or if you want to refine a firing solution). With individual stats that make each crew member better suited for a specific task.Add morale (friendly fire: reduced moral, reduced effectiveness), fatigue (would be interesting for timed missions, forcing you to manage your crew more efficiently between missions), maybe even loyalty to you, in case of dangerous fire missions, like bombing a civilian area and targeting very close to allies, forcing you to take direct control or risk your crew fucking up the shot.Have your entire gun's effectiveness, accuracy, reload, targeting and firing time based on this.IMO that would be even better than being a one-man artillery division. Which you could still be if you wanted to play without a crew.I'd pay a big price for a game that allows you to do everything I listed but with a real artillery unit to manage as a commander. You don't need crazy graphics, you could simply model your immediate surroundings in 3D, have some endless forest or field as a background, based on the location, just like what they're doing when you look outside of the turret. Most of the work would go on animating the crews and the guns rather than a huge turret with wheels to turn.
>>65404002Project Silverfish is a pretty fun take on the STALKER formula if you can get over it being furshit. >no HUD unless your headpiece comes with one>damage is calculated mostly off of caliber with a +/- depending on the muzzle velocity of the gun in question >every firearm has multiple ammo types, with basic shit starting with FMJ and AP, larger calibers getting stuff like tandem rounds, and eventually .50 HE for the Big Game stuff the game throws at you>relics and hazards and cryptids>competing factions from fascist chuds, hippie commies who don't use money, old world military complete with blue helmets, and some cultists who possess the secret to making Sam Fisher NVs>one dungeon is literally just Hell Biggest flaw of the game is that the AI is pretty simple and not super smart, but there's enough going on that it didnt kill the game for me. Also it's not done, but what the dev has put together so far held my attention for long enough and I'm looking forward to the complete game.
>>65420924It's nice to see the Furries RTVRN to their Scifi roots.
>>65420870You could probably build that on the base of Hideous Destructor. It's pretty autistic regarding ballistic modeling, and I think it wouldn't be a big thing to implement long-range artillery relevant stuff.
Reminder for Steamies: If you didn't beat Phantom Battery before yesterday you will never have beaten it.
>>65421343Did they nerf it?
>>65413397
>>65420961It's a bit ambiguous how much is sci-fi and how much might be fantasy in Silverfish. On one hand, what's left of humanity are all post-human cyborgs that run off of perpetual motion machine oil that also probably caused normies to slip out of reality (and is almost certainly an allegory for fossil fuels 'cause the dev is a pinko). On the other, there's a lot of... fae stuff happening. >children vanished all at once, possibly under the guidance of a distinct 'kingly' entity >when you snort moondust you slip into an extradimensional space and after coming down from your high you always wind up 'at home' >loads of the artifacts are openly fantastical in flavor if not explicitly in nature>the hell dungeon It's a pretty dope vibe, honestly. As long as the dev can keep his politics in his pants and properly flesh out all the factions I think he'll have something really neat on his hands.

Any other anons playing Ultimate General: Civil War? Its got quite good selection of contemporary weapons to choose from, especially with the J&P rebalance mod which is still getting updates. It also presents the switch from napoleonic warfare to trench warfare quite well. Starting out equipping your brigades with smoothbore model 1842 springfields and ending up with Spencer repeating rifles/carbines by the end is a satisfying curve.
>>65422991I played it.Six years ago even though it doesn't feel like it's been six years.
>>65422991Played a Union campaign and I think from at the very least 1864 on I was just steamrolling and zerg rushing without any care whatsoever, it was fun.Been stuck on a Confed campaign for quite some time because I think it's Cold River where there's some shit with wiping out their entire force doesn't work properly so they get like 100k reinforcements, which makes me pretty mad because I was explicitly sacrificing my own men in order to always do a full wipe so I can keep them down, and apparently it works elsewhere, just not in this, my, particular save.

>>65417280Rockets aren't a good choice against AA guns because they all approach from the same direction so the gun doesn't have to turn between shots. It's better to spam missiles against the guns and then use the rockets on everything else.
>>65410472Planes are horrible in some weird way in thes game.I tried m+k, I tried various controlers, I tried joystick and in the end I simply gave up on flyers. nothing fucking worked in a way that you got good controle on every aspect of flying. m+k was good for take off and landing, but controling your plane in the air and shooting was an absolute pain. Controlers were good for flying and decent for dogfihgts, but good fucking luck trying to land without fucking crashing. joystick was fine for flying and for a2a combat, but was absolute shitte for trying to make a bomb runs other than making a suicidal vertical dive. I honestly suspects that flying control mechanics was borrowed from some old flight sim game which was never meant to be used for simulating planes in war game

Been playing HLL Vietnam, the game does a decent job at portraying combat imo, I've a had a few insane moments where we're walking through the jungle and suddenly gunfire starts all around for a couple minutes, then it subsists and we find ourselves trying to be as quiet as possible while searching for each other. Really nervewrecking sometimes.I do pitty the poor heli pilots though, players are absolute retards as of now, they either only use the helis at the beginning of the game and then never again bother using them to try flanking or they do not use them at all and prefer to walk... I blame SLs for this though, they should be the ones asking their squads to spawn at HQ and have helis give them a ride and I haven't had one single SL doing that.
What are some stealth games that happens to be /k/? Only happen to know intravenous, mgs, splintercell,
Ostranauts has ship combat and bounties now. I made a bounty hunter character, killed two bounties, stole the second's ship which I am now repairing to part out to make a super fast and light ship for bounty hunting away from K-leg. Where should I aim for citizenship? I am considering one of the Venutian aerostats or Titan.

>>65429370I did, could not stand ICO and the changes it brought to the gunplay though so I found myself having a lot more fun in HLL.And I want to play a good Vietnam War game, Rising Storm 2 is good but there's something missing in that game. I had been eagerly awating Squad Vietnam mod but that seems to be dead so...
>>65404002Personally I got bored during the demo. All the bells and whistles in the turret are just gizmos, the actual *game* is the 2D map. And since if you input your numbers correctly, you can't lose, it's almost not even a game.
>>65427639>Ostranauts has ship combat and bounties nowI haven't played it seriously in years, how's it with 1.0?
>>65431130It was unfinished but very interesting years agoNow it's unfinished but very interesting, although the proportions are skewed more towards interesting now than it used to be.

>>65430262>could not stand ICO and the changes it brought to the gunplay thoughThe Squad devs knew what they were doing catering to casuals at the beginning
>>65427567>they should be the ones asking their squads to spawn at HQ and have helis give them a ride and I haven't had one single SL doing that. There's no reason to get the whole squad to redeploy for that, heli's should be hot dropping small teams of solo SL's all over the place to set up sneaky OP's the same way gooks can drop tunnels, then bring in the supply chopper and drop a garry where one of the SL's makes headway.
>>65404500Just a little bit.Honestly, as fun as the infantry combat is I think my favorite part is getting a more-or-less ground level view of what the big boy weapons do to infantry and light armor. I always thought the Jericho was a bit lame in the original but holy christ it's amazing in the BK demo. Functionally it instantly deletes buildings and foot mobiles in a 50-yard radius and tosses APCs around like toys while having the best weapon sounds in the entire game and on the Vorverkhuhn you can tack on a Disco or Mae Dois for your secondary.
>>65433369I'm waiting for the game to go in full release to play it. What's the difference between Brigadors and Brigadors Killers?
>>65433431BK is smaller scale>Great Leader is dead, Solo Nobre has fallen>you are now part of a Loyalist cell on the pleasure planet Mar Nosso>You are here to kill the Brigadors>Make. Them. Pay.Pic related, the dude on the left is you. Instead of only going down to mogs and bikes, the game actually starts you out in your boots and has a stronger focus on infantry combat. You can (and probably will) get gigged by some chucklefuck with an 8 gauge blunderbuss, at least before you work up to the big toys. The main campaign seems a bit more story focused than the first game but the overall structure hasn't changed a whole lot - a mission with a set of parameters and a few loadouts to choose between but you won't always have wheels. There's also a freeplay mode (called Garage Mode) where you actually scavenge gear from various mission maps; scavenging guns from gang stashes, stealing cars to scavenge for parts, making runs to the black market for special goods (and then evading the police), etc. With your ultimate 'goal' being to dive down into the multi-level dungeon and see if you can hit the bottom before you die or quit out. The lower level shit is fun. The tighter focus lets shit like the Mog shine; mowing down Corvid LARPers and rent-a-cops like wheat. I went through a huge rigmarole to get my hands on a Coffin in Garage Mode and it was one of the best investments I made outside of the cargo van. Shit was fast, durable enough, and since it was open top I could wear the heavier personal rig in case I had to dismount.
>>65427631Command and Conquer Generals, chose GLA Stealth General and abusage the EMP ability as much as possible.
>>65433482>The tighter focus lets shit like the Mog shineWhat the fuck did you just fucking say about me, you little bitch? I'll have you know I graduated top of my class in this sector's conscript training, and I've been involved in numerous riot raids on impertinent citizens, and I have over 300 confirmed kills. I am trained in mongoose warfare and I'm the top stomper in the entire NEP. You are nothing to me but just another target. I will wipe you the fuck out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on Novo Solo, mark my fucking words. You think you can get away with saying that shit to me over the Internet? Think again, fucker. As we speak I am contacting my secret network of spies across Solo Nobre and your precise location is being traced right now so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your life. You're fucking dead, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can kill you in over seven hundred ways, and that's just with double bonesaws. Not only am I extensively trained in bonesaw combat, but I have access to the entire bonesaw arsenal of the Novo Exército do Povo and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the face of the continent, you little shit. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little "clever" comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your fucking tongue. But you couldn't, you didn't, and now you're paying the price, you goddamn idiot. I will shit fury all over you and you will drown in it. You're fucking dead, kiddo.
>>65433431>What's the difference between Brigadors and Brigadors Killers? It's a lot more granular, what with you starting out as a grunt modding civilian vehicles.Acquisition mechanics have been improved. You steal stuff to add it to your garage, which is more fun, more liberal and more immersive than locking it behind making the number go up. That also improves the sense of scale and progression, because you're actually working your way up from a grunt to a city wrecker this time around. I would hope that mission difficulties will spike based on how big your ride is and how destructive you are while going on about your business. Brigador was nice, but the game world wasn't very reactive and the maps weren't actually interconnected - every which exit led to the next map in the chain you picked, with early exits through space ports being the only option outside of your chosen pre-set.They hopefully will improve on the "immersive" play aspects and mission structures by making different approaches viewable. They already showed off sniping, car bombs and missions that don't require you to wreck as much as possible of everything.
>>65431342There's a difference between having obscured goals and being a barrenvwasteland with fuck all content. Your desktop is as much of a game as Kenshi is. Just pretend that the icons are cool little soldiers, move them around, roll some dice and delete the ones that die.
>>65433369I think the game shines with the smaller mechs/armored suits, being able to drift while dumping an autocannon or chopped up 50 BMG into a group of guys then zip away into an alley is a lot of fun.
>>65433747Honey, I shrunk the VOTOMS.
>>65433736Disingenuous or ignorant.
>>65433431>What's the difference between Brigadors and Brigadors Killers?Killers dramatically expands scale and granularity, basically. As the demo consists of a few tutorial/prequel missions and then a basic freeplay mode and the whole thing is very much a beta with tons of placeholders and crap I'm reserving final judgement but so far the scaling from "running around in your skivvies with a handgun" to "soloing a small army with a mech" is outstanding. Basting mooks on foot with shitty SMGs feels great and you can feel the power spikes when you get your first big boy guns and rig suit, running around in power armor with an MG42 and an RPG feels great and if anything the stompy-shooty-building-smashy mech gameplay has been improved since the original. The sounds are better, the lighting and GRAFIX are better and IMO even the weapons feel better. There are certainly a few tweaks I'd like to see (first and foremost being able to reload weapons independently) but the devs have promised that the EA build is going to be much more polished and given their track record I believe them.>>65433482Mog is love, Mog is life.

I just wish that there was a way to haul chests with smaller vehicles, as in like literally dragging them behind you with a tow strap while being reduced to a walking pace.>>65442102Eh, depends on whether you want to throw some cash at the devs or not. I dropped $30 on the deluxe edition to support the devs because I'm confident that the finished product will be great; the core gameplay loop in the demo was already ridiculously enjoyable, the music, lore and GRAFIX are top-shelf and I trust them to deliver. On the other hand, what's there of the story campaign past what was in the demo is basically just a cocktease and so far the mission progress in the garage has been pretty slow.

>>65443391>despite that working in the demoI don't think it did, I'm pretty sure that was complained about then. You technically can unload weapons, but only at the armory so it's basically useless. The devs have said they're looking into adding it in mission.
