>>65410357It's classic Soviet Man thing.Their manual has a section on 'how to treat small UXO(hand grenade, ATGM, smal warhead)', and after the usual 'get sappers to render safe, or blow it up', 'go around it' etc. there is a section about using a log or long branch to push it into a hole/ditch/etc.Now, there is a specific procedure to this, you are supposed to lay flat on your belly, wear your helmet, behind a sandbag/backpacks/other logs/etc., and use a 3m long stick/branch/log.Then you position the log, press your head into the ground DO NOT LOOK, and push the UXO with the log.Since the mobiks get no training, and drones are new, and some people probably remember shit from Soviet era basic training you get 'just poke it with a stick', except all the actually important parts got left out.

So we end up with 'use stick'.IIRC Soviet Motor-Rifle troops wer supposed to have sappers at the company level, and a full engineers company per regiment.Of course all that is gone now, there are just mobiks sent out to get droned.
