is the Puma a good IFV?
It's a great IFV but really expensive due to the germoid requirement for a very high level of protection while still being air-transportable, so they had the make the armour out of unobtanium.
Define "good"
>>65411360Pic unrelated Did you delete your other thread or did mods?
>>65411375this
>>65411375It was funny watching A.I. try to label them everything under the sun, instead of admitting it didn't know.
>>65411375Probably mods. I made a thread of the Russian cruise missile getting shot down over Poland, and got a 3 day vacation for posting about politics and current events. It's quite pathetic really, but it's to be expected by these bottom feeders. >alsoYOU DO IT FOR FREE OUDOITFORFREE
>>65411390chatgpt told me those are leopards lol
>>65411360Better than Ajax which is actually worse than walking.
>>65411418Gemini tried Gepards, M1, Challenger 2, Challenger 3, recovery vehicles, T14, T15, and BMP-1M.Eventually it just gave up and labeled them armored tracked vehicles. I've noticed A.I. doesn't like to label pictures as A.I. It would seem like they would recognize it immediately.
>>65411477those vehicles are not AI generated though
>>65411524What are they?
>>65412111CV90 with the additional turret armor, but they still look weird. Sensors and optics being stripped for transport is likely why.
>>65411453The Ajax is not a ifv you donkey. Its still shit though.
>>65411360best IFV currently in service in any army, so yes
What the fuck is even going on in this thread? Why are you asking about Pumas with picture of not Pumas?
>>65412137The rubber coating for better boot grip looks brown for some reason.
>>65411360Ffs that pic is irritating me, i cant really get a good idea of which version/who's CV that is, or even if there is some AI fucking around as well
>>65412872If I had to guess it is Sweden or the Netherlands sending them to Ukraine, but the pic has a shitty A.I. smartphone filter and OP is a fucking faggot.
>>65412879Well ive ruled out SWE due to the wrong gun, hatches and smoke grenade launchers, so my money is on either a pre-MLU 9035 DK or NL. Its hard to see if its a 30mm or 35, but the SGL and hatches seem to match
>>6541288230mm could only come from Norway. Finland wouldn't give theirs up and the Swiss love their nuetrality.
>>65412976True, but there's no reason to suspect that the picture shows a transport going to Ukraine either, could just be a regular train transport of danish or dutch vehicles
>>65412988Every poor quality thread is assumed to be propaganda until OP is proved merely retarded.Unfortunately the two are not mutually exclusive.
this seems like the best threat to ask.does anyone remember the designation of the massive and fat prototype US Army APC in the very early cold war/ just post WW2 era? i cannot remember at all, can't find any good lists for this elsewhere, and there's no other good thread up for this.

>>65413026No, it was a completely covered APC.>>65413037It's retro by modern standards but not super sci-fi. It should have a T-designation, iirc.>>65413048Negatory. There's a picture of a built prototype out there, facing to the bottom right of the frame, with the amount of dismounts it can carry arrayed out behind it into the center of the frame.
>>65413013M44/T-16?
>>65413063>It's retro by modern standards but not super sci-fi.Nothing really outlandish for the time, to be clear. IIRC it was sort've like a bulked up M75?

fuck it, might as well post here toofitted 17 soldiers

>>65413023Holy shit, I can't. My sides launched off so hard they'll soon overtake Voyager. This is just too fucking perfect of a superbly ironic time capsule. Poor guy had absolutely no idea his drawing would prove further from reality than the drawings and designs of post-WW1 planners a mere 10 years later.Someone please call 112, I can't stop laughing.
it's probably the best IFV available rn, but even with cUAS upgrades a large enough number of FPV drones will still kill it, therefore its usefulness and cost effectiveness is highly debatable imo
>>65413433Needs bottom panel text replaced with>And then air defence went extinct.
>>65413493>and then the mosquito’s knew everything, the ass was in the ass, and the eggs were measured.
>>65413493Finishing the 4koma with a >The mosquito won.would work just fine but it's too much on the nose. You really need to preserve the context of this miraculously bad prediction to get the most out of it.Think one of those "How it started:" vs "How it's going:" pics or something like that.
>>65413479>enough of explosives will kill everything, therefore usefulness of everything is debatableSeriously though, I agree, it very much might be the best IFV in the world right now. Though who the fuck knows, it's untested in real combat. With that in mind, CV90 might be a safer bet.
>>65413479Germany seems to be confident in the turrets ability to fight off drones because if rumors are true they are about to order a buttload of Boxers with with the Puma turret. That said maybe they are even being fieldtested in Ukraine because i just remembered Ukraine was supposed to get some RCT30 boxers along with their RCH155 ones. So maybe they actually are good against drones.
>>65411360I sure as fuck hope so, I just bought a 1:35 scale model of it.
>>65413689>Germany seems to be confident in the turrets ability to fight off drones because if rumors are true they are about to order a buttload of Boxers with with the Puma turret. They're Germans. They don't think shit about warfare, anon. Big corpo A asked Big corpo B to have government scratch their back and buy a fuckton of their vehicles in return for looking nice to allies in pushing a ton of money into their army.I might be overly harsh on them and if there's anyone who's actually did military shit with Bundeswehr then please come and change my opinion, but the world of German procurement is just a Neo-Liberal hellhole of antiquated shareholder value-driven monopolies whose defense policy can be summed up as: "There's Poland between us and Russia, LEL. ;D"
>>65413759>I might be overly harsh on themPretty much all the tech Germany sent to Ukraine has proven to be quite effective. Performance-wise, Marder is one of the most effective western IFVs deployed (along with Brad and CV90), and Marders are worse in every aspect compared to Pumas.
>>65413759You wildly underestimate Teutonic autism. Even if they don't give a shit about warfare anymore >they doit still has to be the best machine they think it can be, Ja!?
