How much of a “real deal” Bradley experience would that actually have been? Like, if you dropped a 1991 2-16 veteran into /k/ today, what would he say about McVeigh’s experience on the M2, the 25mm Bushmaster, TOWs, crew drills, and fighting Iraqis? Was he actually doing the cool shit people imagine when they hear “Desert Storm Bradley gunner,” or was 90% of it sitting around in the desert waiting for something to happen while maintaining the world’s most complicated lawnmower?
Probably both. Desert storm was 6 months of blue balls and kicking pebbles during the buildup, desert sabre was the actual ground operation and only lasted like 4 days.

A court martial is an actual military jury trial with lawyers and judges and shit under the UCMJ. It's a gigantic pain in the ass because it has nearly all the legal requirements of a civilian trial (including a competent defense attorney for the accused, innocent until proven guilty, etc) and most commands will just Other Than Honorable the fucker to get him out of their hair rather than go through all the trouble and get their own dirty laundry aired out in open court before their own peers.
