What are FRTs:
Forced Reset Triggers (FRTs) are firearm modifications that allow semi-automatic rifles to fire more rapidly by automatically resetting the trigger after each shot, while still requiring a trigger pull for each round. They increase the rate of fire without converting the firearm into a fully automatic weapon.

List of platforms that offer FRT/Super Safety support or are currently in development, footage and recommended distributed sellers.

Anyone have any numbers on the proliferation of frts since the case over them has currently federally secured their place on the shelf? And I mean totally estimated devices sold to date.

Seems like one for a new model comes out every week now

these fuckers need to hurry and release their cp33 FRT, or at least post some decent videos of it running to hold me over.

Wew. Pistol FRTs are cool but why the PDP/PPQ? They don't have any chassis systems do they? And on that topic, p365 when?
>>
>>65428491
They hinted that they might work on it
>>
Really want a TP9 FRT that uses the actual safety selector for 3pos instead of some shit on an alternative topcover I don't want since I like the OEM one.
>>
>>65428993
there is a 2 position that's coming out that doesnt have a different top cover. I believe the replacement top cover version is also only two position for now anyways
>>
Are there any videos out there or any other anecdotal posts of people with high round counts on FRTs? I want an ARC and want to know how the durability is
>>

the developer of the ARC said about 20k rounds or something

They are obviously bias but I do believe him personally

ikr, that's why the ARC fire is my favorite personally. That and the fact that it still works when you hold the trigger down hard, it's incredibly difficult to shut the forced reset down and I have it in my SHTF gun

Do the Atrius ones still break after a low round count? Did they ever fix that?

Semi-related, what is is the most durable FRT/SS? I am assuming that I might not be able to get a replacement in the future if it breaks due to legal shenanigans.

G-force blade has a trip for super safeties and what I would assume ARC and Atrius. Seemingly can only be bought from tucks.prints on IG.
>>
why did that guy's post about the p320 frt get deleted?
>>
>>65430213
people got schmid 2 stage to work with the SS, I dont see why it wouldn't work with a ARC. You need the trigger to be cut obviously

ARC, Cassette style FRTs like Rarebreed
>>
>>65429070
nice, I'll print one out and see if it works in a tortort receiver
>>
>>65430391
cool, please report back!
>>
Honest question, from an anon that lives in a country where guns are illegal: using these FRT modifications would not make the gun illegal?
>>
>>65430437
For US citizens, it depends on state. Off the top of my head I know Florida bans them. Probably California and New York too.
>>
>>65430297
Okay, thanks.
Are either one of those better than the other?
Rarebreed is somewhat overpriced in my opinion.
>>
>>65430483
I personally think ARC Fire is the best FRT because it's cheaper and more versatile with trigger options. There are some negatives with it though. Your lower receiver needs to be either a low shelf or m16 shelf and the trigger you want to use have to be cut (ARC fire comes with a cut trigger).

The cassette style FRTs have no such requirements but are generally more expensive.
>>
Would an Armaspec SMB H3 cycle with a Rare Breed out of a supressed short barrel AR?
Anybody use this combo?

>>
>>65430973
Im using a rate breed so idk if the same issue will apply.
I won't really know until next week when I try it I guess.
I have two and I think the issue I was having with my first was trying to run it with a basic carbine buffer or H2.
I went H3 shopping and saw the Armaspec was about $55 at the store and worth trying at least.

>>
>>65429022
I'm interested in this as well. How long does a super safety last compared to these other convoluted designs.
>>
>>65431131
depends on the materials. There has been really high round counts from the D2, S4, and CPM-10V

This page from ASDesigns has pretty good information on it. Check the "What does D2, A2, S7, 4140, etc. mean?" section
>>
>>65430986
How's the break on your RB feel? I've got a Partisan but the take up feels gritty and sometimes on semi if you don't really squeeze the trigger back it'll double tap as if the recoil has reset your finger forward enough to ND with another shot.
>>
>>65431292
Absolute slop garbage that is extremely vague.
Very light, the reset feels bad.
Kinda like a bad striker fired pistol trigger.

Well that's disappointing. Any other somewhat affordable, cool, historical (pre-60s) guns I can get with an FRT, repro or original? Nothing on that list seems to fit the bill. I see FAL and G3 ones are in the works but I'm too scrawny for those.

TP9 (or a "carbine" pistol like a raider) and PS90

I do kind of want a raider but I don'tthink I want to ND an entire magazine. I may wait for a 365 FRT but I only own the 3.1" slide/barrel which the Flux isn't compatible with.
Tyrant CNC has a chassis that works with the short barrel but id have to hope a hypothetical 365 trigger works with it

Frts are not illegal in Nevada. Read the NRS and tell me that the way they defined it covers an FRT or Binary Trigger since it doesn't and Rare Breed continues to ship more FRTs into the state and gun shops still stock them.
>>
>>65437926
A bunch of sources I see online say they are. I don't live in NV though so can't exactly ask anyone there. I plan to go out there later this year with my gun and was concerned about that.

After a sternly worded letter from the AG, Rare Breed continued to sell FRTs. Their asshole attorney operates out of Nevada. When SHOT show happened they had an FRT day out at the county shooting sports complex. Franklin Armory continues to sell binary triggers out in Minden.

If you bring your gun with your FRT you should be fine.
>>
>>65438701
there is a FRT for it in the works, check the github link in the OP
>>
>>65438705
Neat anon, might get some fun use out of this thing when that frt drops.
>>
>>65434152
What exactly did you expect here? Thompson is a very early SMG design, and the repros are quite simplified over even the M1.
It was always going to be a temperamental gimmick, now it's a gimmick that brtts.
>>
>>65434154
It's really just the doo doo semi auto trigger and mag sturdiness. Apparently the new (and arguably uglier)TP9 variant improves on the trigger a bit
>>65435383
The good thing about the raider is it makes the 320 viable again (except for maybe raider holster carry get a 365 raider for that).
The 320 has no safety improvement, the manual safety models aren't safe, nor are there aftermarket safety modification like glock has with the Striker Control Devices and other mods.
Which means it only makes sense to keep the 320 in condition yellow with an empty chamber loaded mag and not carry it in a holster on your body.
This isn't as big of a deal with a raider with a frt, as a car gun or HD gun, you deploy and rack the slide, with your CCW pistol taking up any immediate slack.
>>
>>65439339
When you're buying an expensive reproduction you expect it to function like the original. And the original was quite reliable. Here is a gunsmith describing the various issues he had to fix to make one run properly:

Just wondering, is there any sort of class-action lawsuit against Cameron Smith and TwinBros for taking everyone's money and then scamming everyone by claiming "THE ATF RAIDED US!!!" and refusing to ship out any more SuperSafeties after they'd already been paid for?

I went looking at Cameron Smith's patent application filing for "his invention" of the Super Safety, and as far as I can tell it's invalid on its face because it was filed on December 4, 2024, whereas Tim Hoffman disclosed the Super Safety on July 21, 2023, sixteen and a half months earlier, far beyond the statutory limit for a post-disclosure patent application filing (even assuming that Tim "stole" Cameron's invention, which obviously he didn't, Cameron is just a lying scumbag and serial fraudster).

Is there any sort of invalidation proceeding going on against Cameron's fake and gay patent?
>>
>>65442764
