update on the vz61 frt in OEM lower
>>65427218>seperate
Anyone have any numbers on the proliferation of frts since the case over them has currently federally secured their place on the shelf? And I mean totally estimated devices sold to date. Seems like one for a new model comes out every week now
>>65427211>>65427218these fuckers need to hurry and release their cp33 FRT, or at least post some decent videos of it running to hold me over.
>>65427499my question is how he even makes money. he constantly says>comes with free X product with your orderhe's been doing it for months.
>>65427199>PDP triggerWew. Pistol FRTs are cool but why the PDP/PPQ? They don't have any chassis systems do they? And on that topic, p365 when?
>>65428491They hinted that they might work on it
Really want a TP9 FRT that uses the actual safety selector for 3pos instead of some shit on an alternative topcover I don't want since I like the OEM one.
>>65428993there is a 2 position that's coming out that doesnt have a different top cover. I believe the replacement top cover version is also only two position for now anyways
Are there any videos out there or any other anecdotal posts of people with high round counts on FRTs? I want an ARC and want to know how the durability is
>>65429022the developer of the ARC said about 20k rounds or somethingThey are obviously bias but I do believe him personally
>>65429025>>65429022the context of this was him comparing the ARC fire vs the Atrius

more information regarding the ASD SCAR FRT
>>65429049>>65429025Impressive if true, thats like a whole barrel life
>>65429487ikr, that's why the ARC fire is my favorite personally. That and the fact that it still works when you hold the trigger down hard, it's incredibly difficult to shut the forced reset down and I have it in my SHTF gun
What's the best 2-stage trigger for an ARC Fire that's not a Geissele? Will the Schmit 2-stage work?
>>65427211I dare them to make one for the P22.>>65427199>>65429049Do the Atrius ones still break after a low round count? Did they ever fix that?Semi-related, what is is the most durable FRT/SS? I am assuming that I might not be able to get a replacement in the future if it breaks due to legal shenanigans.
G-force blade has a trip for super safeties and what I would assume ARC and Atrius. Seemingly can only be bought from tucks.prints on IG.
why did that guy's post about the p320 frt get deleted?
>>65430213people got schmid 2 stage to work with the SS, I dont see why it wouldn't work with a ARC. You need the trigger to be cut obviously
>>65430232>Semi-related, what is is the most durable FRT/SSARC, Cassette style FRTs like Rarebreed
>>65429070nice, I'll print one out and see if it works in a tortort receiver
>>65430391cool, please report back!
Honest question, from an anon that lives in a country where guns are illegal: using these FRT modifications would not make the gun illegal?
>>65430437For US citizens, it depends on state. Off the top of my head I know Florida bans them. Probably California and New York too.
>>65430297Okay, thanks. Are either one of those better than the other?Rarebreed is somewhat overpriced in my opinion.
>>65430483I personally think ARC Fire is the best FRT because it's cheaper and more versatile with trigger options. There are some negatives with it though. Your lower receiver needs to be either a low shelf or m16 shelf and the trigger you want to use have to be cut (ARC fire comes with a cut trigger). The cassette style FRTs have no such requirements but are generally more expensive.
Would an Armaspec SMB H3 cycle with a Rare Breed out of a supressed short barrel AR?Anybody use this combo?
>>65430934looks like this guy got it working with a couple of issues, there are comments for more informationhttps://old.reddit.com/r/supersafety/comments/1unpf9b/need_help_trouble_shoooting_my_arc_fire_v2/
>>65430973Im using a rate breed so idk if the same issue will apply.I won't really know until next week when I try it I guess.I have two and I think the issue I was having with my first was trying to run it with a basic carbine buffer or H2.I went H3 shopping and saw the Armaspec was about $55 at the store and worth trying at least.

>>65429022I'm interested in this as well. How long does a super safety last compared to these other convoluted designs.
>>65431131depends on the materials. There has been really high round counts from the D2, S4, and CPM-10V This page from ASDesigns has pretty good information on it. Check the "What does D2, A2, S7, 4140, etc. mean?" section
>>65430986How's the break on your RB feel? I've got a Partisan but the take up feels gritty and sometimes on semi if you don't really squeeze the trigger back it'll double tap as if the recoil has reset your finger forward enough to ND with another shot.
>>65431292Absolute slop garbage that is extremely vague.Very light, the reset feels bad.Kinda like a bad striker fired pistol trigger.
>>65431332I guess being garbage in all other facets of triggerdom beyond super semi is endemic to these cartridge types. Fuck, suppose I'll shop for an ARC

>>65438091After a sternly worded letter from the AG, Rare Breed continued to sell FRTs. Their asshole attorney operates out of Nevada. When SHOT show happened they had an FRT day out at the county shooting sports complex. Franklin Armory continues to sell binary triggers out in Minden. If you bring your gun with your FRT you should be fine.
>>65438701there is a FRT for it in the works, check the github link in the OP
>>65438705Neat anon, might get some fun use out of this thing when that frt drops.
>>65434152What exactly did you expect here? Thompson is a very early SMG design, and the repros are quite simplified over even the M1.It was always going to be a temperamental gimmick, now it's a gimmick that brtts.
>>65434154It's really just the doo doo semi auto trigger and mag sturdiness. Apparently the new (and arguably uglier)TP9 variant improves on the trigger a bit>>65435383The good thing about the raider is it makes the 320 viable again (except for maybe raider holster carry get a 365 raider for that). The 320 has no safety improvement, the manual safety models aren't safe, nor are there aftermarket safety modification like glock has with the Striker Control Devices and other mods. Which means it only makes sense to keep the 320 in condition yellow with an empty chamber loaded mag and not carry it in a holster on your body. This isn't as big of a deal with a raider with a frt, as a car gun or HD gun, you deploy and rack the slide, with your CCW pistol taking up any immediate slack.
>>65439339When you're buying an expensive reproduction you expect it to function like the original. And the original was quite reliable. Here is a gunsmith describing the various issues he had to fix to make one run properly:https://thompsonstocks.com/fixing-the-kahr-thompson/

>>65442764>it's all le big conspiracy Kill yourself.
Just wondering, is there any sort of class-action lawsuit against Cameron Smith and TwinBros for taking everyone's money and then scamming everyone by claiming "THE ATF RAIDED US!!!" and refusing to ship out any more SuperSafeties after they'd already been paid for?I went looking at Cameron Smith's patent application filing for "his invention" of the Super Safety, and as far as I can tell it's invalid on its face because it was filed on December 4, 2024, whereas Tim Hoffman disclosed the Super Safety on July 21, 2023, sixteen and a half months earlier, far beyond the statutory limit for a post-disclosure patent application filing (even assuming that Tim "stole" Cameron's invention, which obviously he didn't, Cameron is just a lying scumbag and serial fraudster). Is there any sort of invalidation proceeding going on against Cameron's fake and gay patent?
>>65442764So? Wouldn't that be a good thing if they underestimate the people?

How difficult is it to get 9mm ARs running FRTs? I am thinking about doing a RO635-ish build. I know blowback sucks so I am considering getting the CMMG radial delay upper and H&R colt mag lower.
>>65454570if you're going cmmg then you dont have to do anything, it just runs since the trip on the bolt is clear. I am unsure what the normal buffer situation on cmmg is though, so look into that. I have a custom build that uses a A5 tube, flat wire spring and a KynSHOT buffer.for cmmg watch out for possible extractor issues and firing pin breakageYou should still check out blowback9 page for more information as well to get stuff running smoothly although his information is more about blowback.
>>65454582>>65454570one clarification, the extractor issue is resolved if you go the fixed extractor upper router, but you have to use their upper reciever. CMMG bolt also requires the CMMG barrel as well
>>65454570Very. It is generally difficult getting even FA AR9s running. There's whole sites like c3junkie and blowback9 on WordPress dedicated just to getting FA 9s running right. Fact is the AR platform is a sub-optimal 9mm host for a bunch of reasons, mostly bolt bounce and action speed. Not saying it can't be done as others have alluded, but it takes a lot of trial and error, money, and testing, at least in my experience.
FIELD REPORT ON TEXAS TRIGGER p320 REAPERReceived and installed last week and tested. It's legit.300 rounds suppressed and unsuppresed in full size p320 in a B&T USW320 chassis. Winchester 115gr, 124gr NATO, and 147gr American Eagle subsonic. Suppressor was Omega 9k. Unsuppressed used unremarkable screw on muzzle comp. Observations:>best handgun frt I've ever run. Nowhere near as clunky as glock, but still requires some finesse but low learning curve.>mfg recommended break in is recommended>124gr nato most reliable, most near to "hold down trigger and go" FA similarity.>barrel, muzzle break, or can advisable...it clearly gives just a bit more pressure to complete cycle.>works as pistol but not well. Far better to have in a chassis, flux raider, B&T Etc. More controllable too.>147gr subsonic runs but probably needs enhanced power spring even full size IMO. 85% reliability. Pure pleasure, and quiet when it ran.>very stable and aimable with the right chassis. As a handgun everything is minute-of-barn>used ETS 30rd and sig factory 18 and 22rd mags. Most reliable with sigs but had 1-2 full 30 rounders in 124gr nato rip. Aftermarket needs to start making reliable high caps and shits4real.>cyclic is super high, 1000+ rds/minDisassembly when getting home was tricky (fouling), but no broken parts like spacer pointed out by others. Another test is planned next weekend better springs and shooting from a rest.So good in fact I bought another.
>>65454755That's some fantastic information and reporting anon! I was looking for a handgun FRT that was intuitive to use.

>>65427199if you buy a rare greed, you should be blown up
>>65455188nah their MP5 FRT is supposed to rule I dont care that they are assholes
>>65428491Chassis systems suck
>>65455188If it weren't for Rare Breed, FRTs would be categorized as "machine gun conversion devices" and it would be a felony to possess one. No you can't register one for normies to use because they were made after 1986.Hate Rare Greed all you want, they're only doing what any company with core patents is supposed to do -- protect their market against ripoff imitators and make huge profits. Too bad they're kind of fucked now because see below.Tim Hoffman's Trigger Kicker doesn't infringe any of Rare Breed's patents that I can find and costs 10% of what Rare Breed's products cost. The TX22 FRT design also doesn't appear to infringe any of Rare Breed's patents. The Glock FRT likewise doesn't interact with a disconnector and so does not seem to infringe any Rare Breed patents.Just to add, Hoffman's Super Safety probably did infringe the old 7398723 patent, but that one expired two years ago, and IIRC it only had method claims. The Super Safety arguably and/or clearly does NOT infringe the other two patents that Rare Breed is asserting against Tim. Also, Rare Breed was blocked from selling their products by that NY lawsuit during the brief time when the 723 patent was still in effect and the Super Safety STLs were available, so it's arguable that there are no economic damages for that (Rare Breed wasn't losing any sales because they weren't allowed to sell anything).IDK about all the other designs out there, I don't own an MP5 or an AK47 or a Zorg Alien Staccato Railgun or a Noisy Cricket.t. patent attorney
>>65456017>Hate Rare Greed all you want, they're only doing what any company with core patents is supposed to doyou just said that the super safety clearly doesnt infringe on the patents they are holding against Tim, which is it? they cant only be doing what they are supposed to do AND frivolously seek lawsuits with products that dont infringe their patents
>>65455072Because it's very minimalistic. With the stock folded to the side it's not much bigger than the pistol itself. Also the stock release is awesome. You push it with your trigger finger and it swings right out, you dont even need your other hand just use your shoulder to lock it. I love mine.
>>65455521See above. It absolutely made a major difference in the p320 reaper. It was 100% more intuitive, more reliable and more accurate in the chassis.

>>65457575I know. My suggestion/workaround would be the motor just spins the cluster but the cam paths are adjusted to ensure the spinning prevents full bolt lock, leaving that up to some other another "forced resetting" mechanism, thereby ensuring hitting the switch doesn't technically fire the gun by definition. The firing was accomplished by something other than pushing the button.Someone will find a way.

>>65459184I assume the selectors would just get in the way of the numbs near the selector part on the receiver. Not sure myself
>>65459201>>65459184looking at it closer, the selectors do interact a lot with the cam mechanism. Yeah I dont think they will work at all with 90/180 but you can buy them and test, doesnt seem too expensive

Should I just buy an MP5? I know it's pretty much the best and one of the easiest guns to run a FRT in, but damn everyone's doing it and it just seems boring to me. I just want to have something I can run hard and be a pleasant experience. Considering some B&T guns but they're all like twice the cost of an AP5
>>65469959>Mp5s are boring now that the market has been flooded with them.Gee, thanks turk*y.Remember when PSA was going to make MP5s for $1200 and that was a huge deal?Either way mp5 is the most pleasant 9mm carbine shooting experience. The recoil on the B&T guns really suck and they don't suppress nearly as well.MP5 is an investment as well. The current pricing is insanely cheap from a historical perspective.
>>65454755Can you give any insights as to how it ran inside of a chassis? Was is concussive? Could it it be mitigated by a comp? Also seeing that there are some after market parts for a forward shroud accessory on the Flux for mounting optics, with the ROF how easy was it to keep an optic on target after sustain fire?
>>65470035PSA isn't going to make MP5's for the foreseeable future. The POF MP5 and MAC-5 already occupies their lowest possible at cost price point and both are higher quality than anything PSA can do - POF is on original HK tooling and the MAC is made by a turkish MKE parts subcontractor on an MKE bend. It would take an import ban for it to make economic sense.
>>65470035The Bog' and Kuna are pretty damn good with their simplified roller delayed blowback systems. Its less complex than the MP5's system yet both retain mist of the advantages over simple and gay direct blowback shit like B&T
>>65470224>PSA isn't going to make MP5's for the foreseeable futureThank fuck.I never said I wanted them to just offering the perspective of how exciting the prospect of attainable mp5 clones USED to be.I couldn't imagine how badly PSA would fuck up an HK clone.
Currently in a bid war over an AUG so popping in here. For the Red Star Palmetto SAFR, will it be drop in? I know the his other SS kit was but it doesn't specify. Since this is basically an upgrade I'm guessing it's a yes.
>>65470128Kinda already put in the post. But>chassis is recommended, all over the place as a pistol like all FA pistols>comp or suppressor is definitely recommended>no more concussion than a normal short barreled SMG>keeping on target was relative, very doable under 50yd but still a blur but able to keep all shots within at least a 36" circle consistently would could controlI can't emphasize the usefulness of the chassis enough. It made a world of difference. Whichever one you choose im sure.
>>65469959>>65470035>but damn everyone's doing it and it just seems boring to meWhat the hell is wrong with these boomers?
Hey guys, how do I put an FRT in my Mosin?
Hoffman Tactical Trigger Kicker is now being distributed by AR15Discounts.I know believe that the brouhaha about the Rare Greed lawsuit is all kayfabe. Too many of the parties involved are way too closely related business for this to make sense otherwise.I don't know if it started out like this but it is all too convenient at this stage how its developing.
>>65470128>>65470928Forgot to mention, an optic is a plus. The 320 full size used for the test had a Romeo3 and it made a big difference when firing in 4-6rd bursts. Firing in bursts was the best method and it was intuitive enough to do so regularly once the short learning curve was gone. I can imagine a substantially worse experience with just irons. One more point. Springs. I got the enhanced power springs for compact and full size. The 16 &18lb full size spring made the reaper practically hold-down-trigger full auto with 124gr nato ball.Unreal. TT did a great job. My next tests are going to be tuning it to brrrrt reliably with 147-158gr subsonics and the suppressor. If I can get it to do that I'll be on cloud 9.
>>65471421>Hoffman Tactical Trigger Kicker is now being distributed by AR15Discounts.cool

>>65470270PSA's idea was to blanda up with Magpul (lower, selector & handguard) and RCM.But RCM is a big boi with international sales and exposure and wasn't going to kneel to poverty state armory (fuck you SC)
>>65461964Considering light pull is BRRRRT and heavy pull is semi wouldn't it be a regressive trigger?Because it's regressing???I'm strongly interested mind you, but correct verbiage is paramount here.I wonder what happens if I pull hard mid burst.....

>>65471739That as well, but RCM wasn't going to sell parts at a loss for poormeto state armoury to be competitive with turk guns knowing those South Carolingian bastards can't into QC
>>65470035There's a long and storied history of US manufacturers fucking up HK style roller guns, esp. MP5's.PTR Inc. being the most recent example and they have original Portuguese HK tooling
>>65471443That's awesome! Was interested in using a p320 as my EDC but after that guy shot off his left testicle.... I've been hesitant.Nowadays I'm interested in fanny pack carrying and a few chassis (like the flux raider) fit comfortably at 11in collapsed. And so I figured if I'm running a chassis anyway I'd might as well run an FRT and if I'm running an FRT I'd might as well run an optic... and you can see the rabbithole that I found myself in.I only have an FRT on my AR and that's been pretty cool to train with but I am curious if an FRT is even viable in an EDC context?
>>65472526>but after that guy shot off his left testiclethat wasn't a 320 tho
>>65472534Yeah I guess it's the whole appendix carry thing. I like having my balls so a fanny pack seems preferable.

Last time I checked an frt for AR’a were hundreds.Yes but fair warning, they are really annoying to get working as well as you want it to as it requires a lot of tuning of various parts and springs and it's not as intuitive to use as a AR FRT because it requires technique.I got mine pretty reliable and it's a blast though

While the effect is loosely similar, the full-auto conversions are a ticket to federal prison.>Are they any cheaper than ones for an AR? Last time I checked an frt for AR’a were hundreds.Must've been some time last year. Prices on Super Safeties have dropped down to about $65 if you can still find any place selling them (Rare Breed is suing all the vendors). Prices on Hoffman's Trigger Kicker were under $50 last I looked, but you can only order them from his website. And of course you can always 3D print your own Super Safety, which costs maybe a buck of filament at most, plus the cost of the detent and trigger that you have to modify.
>>65471768My highly melanated friend, I am literally a patent attorney and have done my own thorough analysis on the three patents Tim was sued for infringing. One was clearly not infringing (RB was intentionally misconstruing their claims, which at first glance looked like they read on the SS but in reality were talking about something completely different), one was arguably questionable but IMHO leans toward noninfringement based upon (of course) reading the claims in light of the specification, and one was IMHO clearly infringed (but expired in 2024, and Tim was only infringing it during a period when Rare Breed was enjoined from making any sales by that New York court). While Tim might owe some damages for the 7398723 patent, I am going to find it interesting to see how such damages can be calculated when the patentholder was prohibited from selling any of its products during that time period anyway, AND when Tim himself didn't sell any products, he merely told people that there was a way to make Super Safeties at home on their own 3D printers. He's at most only liable for indirect infringement, during a period when the legal status of FRTs was in limbo and a prudent person would not be going around starting companies to churn them out. Since Rare Breed is also suing all of the companies that decided to jump in on the bandwagon and make the parts themselves, they shouldn't be allowed to double-dip on the damages by collecting those from Tim.Also, AFAIK, the supplies of commercially available Super Safeties were extremely limited during at least the first nine months of that roughly fifteen month long period, with TwinBros scamming people (with their fake "ATF raid" in March 2024) instead of delivering any products.

I self-certify it as approved and tested for my own - possible your - shushedly spoopy covert and minimally compact moonlight activities.

>>65480367>>65481386You cannot deny their efficacy as a design house with s3igu though - they are so far ahead of RBT and every other competitor in R&D.Their problem is scaling manufacturing - that business ain't easy and machine shops more often than not fucking suck - and while we're on the topic of ASD vs RBT - RBT was lucky they had their MP5 pack in dev for so long there is no doubt their R&D has taken a serious hit due to their legal costs and actions.
>>65481484DESU ASD needs to consider selling/licensing some of s3igu's designs to friendly competitors with excess manufacturing capacity - imo most of the B&T line should get licenses off and they should focus on the stuff in development hell like the Stribog. They might be incompetent in putting a frt in your hands, but they've designed and showcased 30+ different platforms firing with their prototypes. But you cannot deny the ARHK is going to be an utter game changer. >>65481653>You cannot deny their efficacy as a design house with s3igu though - they are so far ahead of RBT and every other competitor in R&D.oh absolutely, they are lucky to have a genius like s3igu around. s3igu should work with other people as well to push his designs out quicker, like 009515. 009515 designed the FRTs for stribog and B&T for asdesigns and they are just dragging their feet. This is so bad for asdesigns that there is now a drop in trigger for the B&T platforms which render their solutions useless. 009515 is also working with other people to push his mini-14 and tp9 FRTs out.
