Elbows Up anon

During Carney's election campaign they dug up an extremely obscure hockey term ("elbows up") to use as a slogan. It's so obscure that nobody really knew what it meant, least of all the people in the webm who never played a single game of ice hockey in their lives. Nowadays the only people who say "elbows up" are right-wingers making fun of just how shit this country is, and leftists get angry when you use the term.

As far as I am aware, "elbows up" is a reference to how when you fight someone in hockey, you grab your opponent's collar with your non-dominant hand and raise the elbow of that arm to try and block incoming punches from their dominant hand but some people have different definitions. Again, it's an extremely obscure term.
>>
>>65440849
I played hockey for over a decade and some Junior and NEVER heard of that term before carney and his tranny wife were out there saying it
>>
What is a fair price for a mosin these day?
And where the FUCK do you get affordable x54R now a days?
>>
>>65440856
I wonder if a Liberal party staffer either thought it was a common term based on their own niche experience, or they used AI and it hallucinated / overemphasized a phrase that might have appeared once in a forum post twenty years ago.
>>
>>65440859
5.56mm is the better cartridge and even a cope bolt action is better than mosin.

The future is now old man. M193 spec ammo is still $0.60 per round if you shop around.

Damn, 5.56 is superior to 7.62x39 in nearly every way. Of course the SKS is still a great buy, but it makes me wonder why other x39 guns are so popular.
>>

>but it makes me wonder why other x39 guns are so popular
For the longest time, 7.62x39 was and is still being made in such large numbers, foreign-made (Russian & Chinese) 7.62x39 is still cheaper than 5.56x45 made in North America. The average civilian shooter won't be splitting hairs over ballistic performance, they just want a functional intermediate cartridge for their semiautos that won't break the bank.

No you can't see the video but trust us. I think that was the original ban false flag but they'd fucked it up really bad and didn't want anyone looking into it.

Looking further into this I see that the top performing Hornady 5.56 was sort of cherry picked, it's specialty match ammo. But there are plenty of defence/hunting loads that match the dark blue line there. Found picrel for less than $2/round and I read it's a great performer. x39 can't compete.

When you start looking at gucci ammo pushing $2 round, then everything starts to become oranges, because its all expensive like that regardless of caliber. the price gap between calibers narrows. Midenswell get a real rifle caliber if thats what you plan to spend.

Even special 5.56 has difficulty after light barriers like unarmored vehicles, windshields, urban doors and walls. 7.62x39 thumps through them well. It’s why GIGN bought those Bren2s in 7.62x39 8 years ago. They wanted an intermediate barrier puncher with ammo that was common-enough in Europe and French territories. .300blakout was just too new and american at that time.

>they chose the Nosler V-Armageddon expanding projectile loaded into 7.62x39mm for this objective.
>The caliber choice also allows maximum ammunition availability when deploying to the far parts of the globe
They're using 9" barrel rifles at close ranges, so x39 was the obvious choice, but loaded specifically to REDUCE barrier penetration. In fact 5.56 has excellent effect through barriers, law enforcement prefer ARs with bonded core hollow points for exactly this reason.

US tariffs do not affect us, but Carney's retaliatory tariffs (what they are exactly has not yet been announced) will fuck us. Back in mid-late 2025 Carney put a 25% tariff on guns and ammo so it will probably happen again.
>>
>>65444970
To be clear, when I say "do not affect us" I mean that US tariffs on guns and ammo specifically don't affect Canadian consumers. US tariffs in general will fuck our economy which is a good thing because this shithole needs a good flush.

Great, so instead of applying pressure from the start like Pierre suggested, we're gonna apply pressure now that it's utterly pointless and damage our economy even more. Good thing we elected a Trump whisperer, master economist and deal maker, am I right guys?
>>
>>65445337
I think the big issue is the automotive industry. Trump knows that America has complete leverage over us; the only reason why we have a car industry at all is because of our manufacturing integration with the US. If that gets cut off then we lose about half a million jobs (mainly in Ontario) while China floods us with cheap EVs because our market size is too small to incentivise foreign companies setting up full manufacturing here without being allowed to export cars into the US.
>>
>>65445397
The big issue is that Carney has never negotiated a good deal in his life and was too busy globetrotting on the taxpayer's dime for the past year to work out a deal. All he wanted was the power and money, he has no idea how to help Canada and he couldn't care less.
>>
>>65445337
He was brought in to manage the merger of canada and the usa into the north amarican economic zone. Of course he's gonna tank our economy. Second possibility is this is to tank our dollar as an excuse to switch to a digital currency.
>>
>>65445337
The way I see it is that he was told that the boomers who "voted" for him are angry about any deal, good or bad. So his party decided to appease them and ripped up the deal they had just to keep boomers happy.

Elcan is owned by Raytheon thoughever. Additionally, any Elcan Specter 1 in circulation is well past the point of tritium degredation. Atleast trijicon will service their ACOGs for civilians.

The only way to win in this, would be to buddy up to trump. We needed to elect someone that he would actually like.
Does not matter how good of a negotiator you (allegedly) are, if the person on the other end thinks you are a faggot, he's not going to give you an inch.

Trump wouldve liked pierre, they wouldve smashed a few $3000 brandy's together and potentially worked things out like gentleman.
There was a ~0% chance that trump would ever come to a mutual understanding with carney.

This is why i enjoy firearms so much.
>>

>The only way to win in this, would be to buddy up to trump
I agree. The Canadian economy is heavily enmeshed with the US in a way that frankly benefits us more, although both gain. The more independently we operate as a country, the less beneficial this arrangement starts to seem to the Americans.
