It has potential applications. The large cube/rectangle ones are less practical, but modular tubes that shoot bullets that you can stack together, select various ammo types for, and program different fire rates/ patterns has alot of potential. Ironically it's actually a great gun for drones to use, you can just but some tubes on the back of your robot dogs, or under your quad copter instead of a clunky rifle made for humans. Easy to switch out calibers and ammo types for different roles. A 12 gauge version could be great, much lighter and smaller than conventional shotguns, underslung for door breaching, a mini version for that, or fullsized for a fire rate that would make the AA12 look gay. It's also the perfect gun for space. No moving parts so it can get jammed up with moon dust or martian soil. lots of options with exotic ammo types to use in it, etc. It truly was ahead of its time and the Metalstorm will be featured in future conflicts
