Isn't most of the development time spent on american airplanes spent on testing and making sure the airplane is safe to fly?How come does the chinese create one new airplane after another, and then quickly put them into mass production.Someone has to be lying, either americans airplanes are being over tested, only to justifiy a higher price tag. Or the chinese are under testing their planes, which means they aren't really safe to fly.
>>65445568>either americans airplanes are being over tested, only to justifiy a higher price tagYou can see a video of an f35 test where they shoot a missile up the pooper so it's probably not that
>>65445568there's likely a lot of chinese military crashes we've never heard of because they didn't happen over a populated area and they instantly shut it down before it could reach news cycles.
>>65445568What makes you think they're something designed and assembled in two days and not decade+ old programs that are now seeing the light of day? J-35's prototype was first seen in 2013 and since 2018 US officials knew that China was working on "next generation" planes.China is a very large country with a vast extension of unpopulated areas where they can test shit unbothered by civvies.
>>65445568I'll go ask them
>>65445568>Someone has to be lyingNo, brown-kun/boomer-kun, they don't. This is the natural course of history. Sophisticated old developed nations seguing into financialization copes start to pay more and more money and time for the same crap; while up-and-coming engineering-centric powers with a deep bench of real doers can pop out new stuff like *SNAP SNAP SNAP*.
>>65445568>How come does the chinese create one new airplane after another, and then quickly put them into mass production.has this ever happened?
LOL chinese engineering is so good.
>>65445743Yes, for the past 26 years. Pull your balding head out of your gwailo [sic] ass and start taking things seriously.

Chinese planes take just as long to design and manufacture as US planes. Arguably they take longer cause of stuff like the J-20A being in service for years despite not performing like what China wanted.
>>65445568Look into the differences between buy-fly-fix, fly-before-buy, and simulation-based acquisition.I'd argue the US approach is superior for high end machines (like air assets) as long as you don't lean too far into concurrent development.

>>65445568 How funny would it be if the j36 turned out to be a drone mocked up to look like a manned fighter?
>>65445751what's wrong with this
>>65445568>omeone has to be lying, either americans airplanes are being over tested, only to justifiy a higher price tag. Or the chinese are under testing their planes, which means they aren't really safe to fly. These could both be true
