We have a central bank, it just only has one directive. Make sure the crown maintains the same exchange rate to the euro. Still employs a fuckload of bureaucrats. It can't even set an interest tate for itself. Any apriciation or depreciation is handled in the ECB. We need to print our own bills and stamp coins, all done outside denmark so that's a nice fat expence, not even reinvested into local salaries. Atleast our banking system is nicely integrated with the rest ot the european one. So wiretransfers can still be done rapidly. Though doing so or using a credit card in one of the other euro countries they still want a 1% commission for exchanging. Its not a massive hinderence to tourism, but it must also harm that industry a little. But hey at least the retards who went "but we wont have cute hearts on our coins if we adopt the euro" got their way... Wait what's that? Nations can still put designs on the coins? Gee almost like it was fully retarded.
