My first and only ND is embarrassingly ridiculous and you'll probably think I'm merely writing this as fiction. This is what completely changed my perspective on grip safeties and now I think they're actually a really good ideaBasically the gist of it is that I thought It would be really funny to take a picture of my penis going through the trigger guard where I'm fucking a gun. I was really drunk at the time and I did the steps in reverse. So what happened was that there was a round in the chamber because I was carrying earlier that day, but I came home and had several drinks before going upstairs. I figured that a little bit of comedy would go a long way since it had been a rough week so far. I racked the slide to eject the round from the chamber but I was too stupid to realize that I did it while the magazine was still inserted. Then I removed the magazine but obviously the second round loaded into the chamber. So obviously when I was sticking my penis in the trigger area it pushed it back enough to actually go off. With the way I was holding it, The round didn't strike any part of my body but the recoil on my dick was horrifically painful and I seriously thought it just tore my whole fucking peepee off. I was disoriented and deaf for a long time due to the indoor shot without hearing protection, not to mention in crippling pain where the trigger guard basically gave the side of my dick a bunch of road rash. I've never told her anyone about this story and did the repairs that were needed over the following week.

It's part of owning guns, and you should get used to them.

The piece of shit crossbolt safety got pressed by gear on my PC, then the trigger got pulled by the corner of a mag in a pouch.DO NOT USE LONGGUNS WITH CROSSBOLT SAFETIES. Fucking ND city if you actually put them to use wearing your gear. I took like 5 fucking steps and nearly took the guy next to me's calf out. With a slug too. God that would've been horrendous. The safety clicked off 5+ more times before I said fuck it and threw the thing on the ground. Anything with a crossbolt safety belongs in the fucking trash.

First time was with a Glock, because you need to pull the trigger to disassemble, and obviously I made a mistake.Second time was with a Beretta, I was trying to drop the slide to chamber a round, but it got caught slightly on the edge of the rim, so I slapped the back of the slide with my palm to force it closed.Unfortunately I wasn't paying attention and had my finger in the trigger guard for leverage, and when the slide closed I accidentally pulled the trigger.When you handle enough guns, it's bound to happen eventually.Luckily both times I was at work on third shift in the locker room, so the only people who heard the discharge were my Sergeant and the receptionist operating the comms, so we just brushed it under the rug. Shit happens, you just need to roll with it.
