It's not just China developing similar designs.The constraints of aerodynamic performance, RCS reduction, and needing space for all the things that make a plane work leave very little room for interpretation.
It’s fun how Lockheed, Northrop, and Boeing can all maintain immediately apparent distinct stealth fighter design lineages without overlapping each other, yet the laws of physics somehow prevent anyone else from doing so. Is there really something that special about the Mojave desert?

All share very conventional tail layouts with roughly the same intake placement, while YF-23 deletes a set of control surfaces in favor or ruddervators and moves to a ventral inlet.
