I sort of really really like how the RFB looks, is it any good? My LGS seems to get a couple in every year and they sit for a while i might grab one next time i see one

I should add that newer RFBs are Gen 2. The gas system requires a dial-in to function properly. I have been on the fence about one myself because for the selling price of about $1,550 FRNs I can get two Portuguese mausers. It is speculated that they may bring back the RFB as more of a RDB rifle at some point.

Do the shitass polymer FAL mags work well in it or should i struggle and stress to find actual FAL surplus mags?
>>
>>65448504
surplus FAL mags are ideal but the thermolds are ok for range stuff. anything else is just plain junk
>>
>>65448511
Have you ever had issues with the thermolds or is it just not trusting them from reputation
>>
>>65448517
NTA but thermolds worked fine for me in terms of feeding but some of them would fail to activate the BHO. In my experience they are more reliable than surp mags, but then again I didn't have many surp mags with my FAL because they're assrape overpriced

I can count the amount of failures on one hand but I have a lot of surplus mags so I just use those. DSA poly FAL mags are absolute must avoid because they don't even seat due to their shape.

I wouldnt mind the RDB if it didnt have a gayass pencil barrel and didnt effectively require an aftermarket handguard replacement to not be inaccurate as piss from it interacting with the barrel if you put more than 0 pressure on the handguard
>>
>>65448542
The barrels are chrome-lined, at the least which is good.
>>
>>65448542
>>65448599
I misread that, the RFB has CL but the RDB does not.
>>
>>65448542
Only the RDB Survival and RDB Defender have a pencil barrel. Stock RDB is a normal barrel. Not sure but I think the RDB Defender is free float since they copied the aftermarket handguard

I was one more paycheck away from owning one of those and then Trudeau fucking b& 90% of everything. That rifle was one of the few cool non-restricted semi-auto bullpups, meaning it was legal to use for hunting and sport shooting on gobermint lands. I fucking hate Canada.

If they were like $400 less I would have got one but they insisted on it being like $1200 whenever I saw one

they all have pencil barrels, the survival is just even thinner. look at the shoulder where it tapers to the muzzle device or the mounting lugs on any of them.
