Pest control edition, .45 ACP enough for a mouse?Guide: https://files.catbox.moe/9g5sv2.pdfPastebin: https://pastebin.com/gs6mLNikShooting challenge for the month of August (hg-08-2026)https://files.catbox.moe/brwglb.pdfPrevious: >>65446224
The energy of the .45 cooks the mouse
>>65451357Post more pests, like beavers
>>65451357Nah, 45 is too anemic. That's what lost us vietnam and korea.
Ordered a trigger parts kit to fit to my Tisas. I wasn't a fan of the hammer or trigger face so decided it was a good opportunity to learn something new. These parts + an Ed brown solid trigger. What am I in for? Any tips?I have previously installed and fit a new mainspring housing, and polished a feed ramp on a Kimber TLE II that I ended up selling.

>>65451411I feel like Korea was more of a Tie, leaning WinPrimary objective of protecting South Korea from invasion: SuccessSecondary objective of uniting all Korea under democratic, NATO-friendly rule: Failure
>>65451414You bought a prefit kit where the hammer and sear are matched then you’re going to replace the hammer. It should be fine, Ed brown should be in spec
>>65451426the second half of korea post-chosin was a precursor to vietnam, a prediction that retards in air conditioned rooms in washington would handcuff their generals to prevent them from achieving the primary objectivethey should have let MacArthur carpet the Yalu with nukes>uh well it's good enough to waste thousands of american lives on, but let's not get too hasty, do we actually wanna WIN this thing?
I bought a nomad 9x frame so I could use regular Glock mags with my 19x upper but I have enough money into this I want to just turn it into an overly expensive range piece, what is a fancy slide I can go with from a decent company? I really know nothing about any of the higher end slide makers
>>65451448MacArthur is the fucking cocksucking retard that got all those men killed, just like in the Batan Death March. He should have been court martialed for incompetence.Intelligence reports on the ground KNEW of an impeding Chinese attack. They have already captured Chinese soldiers prior to the attacks. North Korean civilians were telling US soldiers and marines that there were Chinese soldiers in NK.
>>65451472>MacArthur is the fucking cocksucking retard that got all those men killedyou're thinking of Ned Almond who was an absolute retard and regularly ignored just about everything about the situation other than the direction he was supposed to be telling his marines to go
>>65451458If they made this with a comp I would have bought one
>>65451502
First the omega got discontinued without me noticing until 6 months ago and now I have to panic buy a 75BD.
>>65451517It existing≠they made thisI'm not into obliterating my warranty on day 0 not to mention altering locking geometry to who knows what long term effect
>>65451539It’s a P220 style barrel, the locking geometry is on the hood
>>65451528They discontinued both the rami and the 97b on me. I'm just not going to pay the prices people want for those.
>>65451583Half of it is. Do you think the front is just free floated?
>>65451607
I want it so baaaaadBut I have to buy a wildly overpriced house instead and need to keep cash for repairs and moving and shiet
>>65451607>>65451613There's typically a hump on 19/2011 bushingless barrels right there for just that purpose. Guess where the port is cut?
>>65451502I don't understand why you'd even want it with a comp. It's a long full, size, long slide with a full length lower in 9mm.Even the compact has minimal recoil.
>>65451632You don't understand why someone would want less recoil, full stop? I don't think then that I could explain in a satisfactory wayYeah the DWX does have minimal recoil. But what if it had less than minimal recoil?
>>65451639I just don't like comps in general I guess, more flash and concussion for very little benefit. I've never really been convinced that standard pressure 9mm even pushes enough gas through a comp to really do anything.
9mm niggas trying to get negative recoil
>>65451414It's pretty shrimple. Go slow, have steady hands so you don't idiot scratch your frame while punching pins out.>t. idiot scratched my CMP Tisas while punching pins out
>>65451650If you don't have scratches on your own guns are you even doing it right?
Do you think one could still larp as a cowboy with a double action S&W .38?I mean I know .45 would be more accurate but I just don’t like .45
>>65451607>>65451613>>65451631Now in a gun that's been designed for a chunk port, that locking area is extended to where the port isn't (picture related). Is that the case with the DWX? I don't know, I've not looked at the inside of the slide. But the barrel locking surface has definitely not been extended to mate with it if it were>>65451647Yeah they're certainly annoying indoors, and standing next to them is pretty bad. But outdoors they're great

Anyone do bullseye shooting? I want an air pistol but I am unsure of what is a decent one to get. I know the gucci olympic ones would be good, but I don't know if I wanna drop like $2k+ on one just starting out, plus I am left handed and I am gonna have to get new grips made which is further gonna drive the price up. I was trying to find one on the second hand market but they seem fairly rare as well.
How good at shooting should I be before I try entering a match? I've never done any kind of running and gunning before.
>>65451881Open Cell Foam/10Ur fuked m8
>>65451888Confident in being able to follow all safety rules and can group out to 25 yards. If your 25 yard target does not have any sort of grouping, or you’re unable to hit a B8C target at 25 - choose which event you go to wisely as some matches have targets beyond 25 yards while others 15 is the max. The purpose of matches and competitions is to get better, you’ll quickly see things you need to improve on as long as you’re not still working on the basics. There are a few organizations that are geared towards more casual and practical shooting versus it as an actual sport.
>>65451888realistically you should just be familiar enough with guns to:>not break the 180 while moving>not break the 180 while reloading>be able to safely load and holster>be able to safely unload and show clear>put rounds somewhere on an IPSC target at 10 yards>follow the four rules of gun safety at all timesthat's like the bare minimum. The biggest thing that will fuck your day up is getting DQ'ed for an ND or a 180 violation so just pick a direction in your house and spend an entire day pointing a finger gun in that direction whenever you do anything. Nobody at most matches gives a shit if you make zero hits and par out every stage, the only thing that will actually bother people is safety violations.
>>65451888>>65451902i should mention that unless otherwise stated somewhere on a website or in practiscore, assume it's a cold range match and show up with a cased/bagged firearm and separate boxed/cased/bagged ammo. Some matches/match directors are insanely anal about "only handle your empty firearm while uncasing at the designated safe table next to the start position surrounded by a berm" and others are cool and will let you show up holstered and just load during load and make ready.
>>65451888Skill isn't really important, but you need to be safe and competent in all operations of your firearm of choice.>>65451902This.
>>65451458DammitMy LGS has a DWX for a great deal and I'm very tempted. How much did you pay?
>>65451888checkedI haven't competed yet, but everything I'm reading says to just do it. They all mention people saying, "I'll do a competition after I train more," and then they never do.
>>65452031competitions legitimately give you a reason to train other than "I may at some time in the future have a small change that i'll need to shoot a crackhead" which is never a good motivatora fat 50yo dude cleaning your ass up by like 20 seconds despite him wheezing through a stage will definitely give you motivation to trainif you can move safely with a gun and follow directions you should absolutely go to a match, it doesn't have to be some goofy men in lycra with fishing vests match either, there are outlaw/fun matches all over practiscore
>>65451902That 180 shit is gay as fuck and it's one of the reasons USPSA is so hated.
>>65452040>a fat 50yo dude cleaning your ass up by like 20 seconds despite him wheezing through a stage will definitely give you motivation to trainlmao true
What is this? It looks like an N frame, but it's chambered in .500.
I forgot I need a heat gun or soldering iron to remove the red Loctite off the cogger mount to actually put it on my AR, so it'll have fun on my now lightless Scorpion as that's somehow a pistol and I've never posted it here before. I'll unfortunately need the smaller Scout 340 or whatever to put on it now that my 640 lives on the AR.
I've noticed a lot more discussion about revolvers lately. Are revolvers coming back, for some reason?
>>65451357I got this little pouch and it's been really handy yesterday and today. Brought 100 rounds and some mags both days and that was practically all I needed. A glove hook and something to hold a roll of tape would do it. Can also put my rangefinder in it for rifle days.
>>65452052first time the chins rotated an image not on mobile>>65452055A lot of it might be me. I picked up an M9 recently and took it to the range with my Model 29, and I remembered how much I like shooting revolvers.
>>65452059That's a good lookin' pouch
>>65452063It's got this velcro bit so it goes on over my belt. Don't have to take it off or anything.
>>65452068i like da colors
>>65452048>That 180 shit is gay as fuckhaving been an RO and getting flagged more than once, one time with a 1301 loaded with flitecontrol, not really in most cases. at most of my matches, if you break the 180, you've earned your dunce hat for the day. On a 360 bay? nah, stupid, but not a lot of ranges have a 360 bay or a shoothouse>it's one of the reasons USPSA is so hated.a lot of the complaints there have to do with stage design where they have a target at 175 of the 180 degrees just as bait for a reload or somethingit's not fun stage design and really should be stopped because it alienates a lot of people and isn't really safe in and of itself
>>65452063I just realized you can't see the brand or anything.
>>65452055I think it's less that revolvers are coming back, and more that people are burned out on minmaxxed larperating and coming back around on the idea of shooting purely as a skill to develop for skills sake and recreational shooting as a valid and pleasurable passtime as opposed to everything being in service of some imaginary life or death scenario.Which in turn, brings the niche served by revolvers in 2026 back into focus. A good full size revolver in 38/358 is a joy to shoot.
>>65452074>bucketbosshehe epic
>>65451888I just did one and I suck ass. -91 after 6 stages, wasn't even bottom 10% just go do it and have fun. Safety is more important than shooting skill.
>>65450863they are a niche gun for a specific purpose. the final last ditch backup to your backup. the size and weight means it costs nothing to carry so whats wrong with that? plus they can be used as a secondary on rural land for pest control when you dont want to use your defensive carry gun. i think they do what they are designed for very well. nobody is arguing it should be your go to war gun
>>65451900>>65451902>>65451920>>65452031>>65452097Thanks fellas I'll try to find a nearby match and just do it.If any of you compete, what do you compete in?
>>65452126> If any of you compete, what do you compete in?I’ve done USPSA, GPA, local 2-gun, 3-gun, FAST, steel challenge, and brutalityBy far the most fun are the 2G action, steel challenge, and FAST/brutality style matches, but that’s because I like larping and actually using all of my gear other than just a gunbeltI really wanna do a cowboy action match at some point, but don’t have a single action revolver in the budget for a while
>>65452126I've done USPSA and IDPA, but I want to do 2gun and brutality.
>>65451888Can you confidently 360 noscope? If not then you're not ready.
I love my GP100 and I don't care who knows!Any recommendations for an IWB holster for a 3" model though?
>>65452055There are advantages to them. They are less likely to jam/malfunction.When they do jam/malfunction, it's worse. It typically puts the gun out of operation until you can see a gunsmith. With a semi-auto, you typically just tap, rack, bang. But they are less likely to jam/malfunction.You can press them up against an attacker, fire, then do it again without worrying about a slide. Many self-defense encounters are at extreme short range. This also applies to defending yourself from a dog biting you.A shrouded double action only revolver is excessively simple, and safe. Just draw, point and shoot. No safety to worry about. The double action trigger is the safety. No hammer to get stuck on something while drawing. This is the simplest concealed carry pistol to draw and fire, and, when you're in a high-stress, life-and-death situation, simple is good. The primary drawback is the capacity. However, data shows that almost all self-defense scenarios are ended by 2-3 shots. They're simple, reliable and carry enough rounds for almost all encounters. For the most part, the revolver/semi auto battle comes down to if you prioritize simplicity/reliability or capacity. There's a good argument for prioritizing the former when 2-3 shots ends almost all scenarios.
>>65452219I think an undiscussed problem with revolvers is the modern ones have awful QC and the stock of old (good) ones are rapidly disappearing.
>>65452226They're mechanically complex. Semi-autos are certainly more suited for mass production.QC issues can obviously be mitigated, though, by choosing known reliable options and having gunsmithing skills or knowing a skilled gunsmith.
>>65452230>known reliable optionsRevolver writers, blogs, YouTubers etc have been talking about poor QC at Smith, Ruger and Olt for years. Considering the price of .38 to 9mm, it makes sense why the only people that shoot them are experienced gun owners and old guys (like me). I love wheelguns but I would never recommend them over other options.
>>65452145>FAST/brutality style matchesI wish there were more of these, it took me forever to find even a 2Gun match within a few hours of me, the brutalities are all across the country.
>>65452253Unfortunately unless you can find a gun club, it’s really difficult to set up that kind of match.Although I recently learned that a training center local to me is surprisingly cheap to run a match at, so I might be setting something up in the mid-Atlantic in the next year or so…
>>65451441is this the franken gun some anon made?
God I wish Kansas had outdoor ranges that didn't have retarded times or have everything be a fucking gun club
>>65452529This but CT
>>65452529I might go shooting tomorrow too but idk. Definitely once more before the weekend.
>>65452145Brutality is woke. It's for transgendered bipocs to put their skills to the test so they can bash the fasc and create queer liberation for the revolution.
>>65452559I only ever went to the east coast ones, everyone there was cool

>>65452559who is this
>>65452575All of it

>>65452585The old timey ones but they suck balls to actually use with their loading gate bullshit and shitass sights
>>65452585That's tough. There are so many. I really want a bunch of old double actions.
My US made 92fs is finally starting to smooth out. Fresh out of the box is shot like dogshit, took about 1000 rounds but it is smooth now.
>>65452355Luckily the two local gun clubs to me don't require membership for matches, which is sick as hell. So I have a ton of options, including crazy stuff like night matches and things. But no brutality yet, I'm gonna ask around at the next 2 gun match and see if it's a thing or if there's discussion of it.
>>65452585It's blasphemy but I don't really care for revolvers, there's nothing wrong with them, they just don't interest me. Only the most fucked up revolvers do it for me.

>>65452559That was Karl's agenda but he burned his final business partner, Russel Phagan (went on to found FAST after their split) and now Karl doesn't even have a seat at the board of his local gun club. He claims Brutality Matches are all his intellectual property but none of the people that run them associate with Karl. The actual shooting scene for leftists is whatever the John Brown Gun Club, Redneck Revolt or neo Black Panthers get up to which is usually basic introduction to firearms or shooting at trash during a LARP meetup.James Reeves of TFB TV is the only bridge Karl has left but I'm sure he'll manage to fuck that up like every other.

>>65452775Hey, I have a WC GP100, maybe I should get this done>Three thousand fucking dollars and that's IF I supply the gunIf I'm dropping $3k, it's not to make an already great firearm look slightly prettier or have a slightly better trigger, wtf
>>65452796That's for his full retard package, which I honestly find pretty ugly, but he's fitting a mew barrel and doing the porting and all that. The $650 action job and the recrown/throat polish are the important parts. Getting the Ruger text removed, dehorned, and bead blasted is purely cosmetic. I don't believe it needs new sights, and it doesn't need PVD.This is what he quoted me in 2024. I had just bought the gun and 2k rounds of 357 so I didn't want to ship it off for 4+ months without having shot it much.>Time to complete as follows would be average of 16 weeks from receipt into my shop. If PVD plating is added, allow an additional 4 weeks.>1. Remove warning or Ruger text, $200.00 per side>2. Remove barrel, crown muzzle at 11 x 60 and polish throat @ 5 degrees, reinstall barrel at TDC 12:00, $350.00>3. Ultimate grade action tuning, $650.00, includes, everything. you will love this action.>4. Because we would be removing the barrel for crown and throat, I would suggest dehorning the frame to barrel juncture at a minimum, $200.00>5. Regarding the finish, PVD plating is a great finish and durable. It will run $750.00 on this weapon for one colortone. Raw glass bead blasted surface is a good uniform finish and is cost effective at $150.00. But raw SS is scratched easily, Glass bead blasted SS will show signs of wear over time with use, but it depends upon how rough a life it has. High polished finishes are terrible and will scratch with a soft rag, I do not recommend a high polished finish.>6. Finally, you did not address sight upgrades, but they are very important. If you do not already have the BCA RCSS rear sight you really need to get that installed at $149.95 and one of our custom machined steel Red or green fiber optic front sights @ $129.95 for this gun.
>>65451956$2446.30 back in 2025. I will admit…I am tempted to buy another to keep as an heirloom while I use this one as my camping/anti bear gun from now until the end of time. The cz grip profile, the 1911 trigger, the weight, fills me with extreme confidence. I won’t call it perfection, but its perfect for me.
>>65452112I just think they’re neat. Way I see it, if I get in a shootout with a theater shooter on a hot summer’s day. I either a) get heralded as a badass or b) serve as a warning to the rest of you for what not to do. Either way, I know I ain’t carrying anything other than this in the summer heat. So better than nothing.

Anyone know of an AIWB holster for a PX4 compact+TLR-7? Having a bear of a time finding one. Might go with the Ronin leather but his lead times are nuts.
>>65453359I've been shilling ANR for a while, they make good holsters. Especially if you need a light+optics aiwb holster.
>>65453359Both ANR and Insane Kydex Creations make one. IKC actually offers the PX4 compact with over 60 different light attachments varieties. I have an ANR for my arex zero and an IKC for my FN. I've carried my FN 509c with tlr-1 in my IKC for about 4 years, but I'd reccomend the ANR due to IKC's insane lead times and ~30% higher prices. Both make great holsters so check out both options and see if one or the other is more your liking but that extra month of lead time IKC has is rough.

Has anyone tried the gold rds? I'm interested in how well gold contrasts against a background.
Why shouldn't I buy a CAA MCK EVO?>gives your Glock (or many other pistols) four points of contact and room to carry 90 rounds on the weapon for like $300>insertion/removal of your Glock are nearly instant>if you already have a Glock, it's $300 for a wicked PCC that takes dirt cheap ammo with an awesome front grip and a built-in flashlight>it can be suppressed if you change out your Glock's barrel
>>65453495Unfortunately I haven't seen anyone in these threads with one. If you care to wait awhile I'll go into work an hour early today for more overime and use that pay to order a gold dot ARO to report back. I have a pretty nasty astigmatism even with corrective lenses so if that's part of the draw for you my eyes could be a good analog. Without corrective lenses at night stop lights streak well below the street they sit above and bloom like crazy for me.I'll report back in 2 weeks with side by sides between the regular ARO, the gold dot ARO, and my holosun 507k to see if theres a glass quality, tint, or astigmatism benefit. Watch these threads if you care I guess
>>65453512I might buy the eps soon, I have the eps carry, but the eps has a bigger window. I was eyeing the AEMS pro one, maybe I'll get the ARO one day, but I want a pistol dot to carry - the in-and-out shooting has changed my opinions on rds for carry pistols. I get some smearing/distortion with the 6 moa red dot. I think the 2 moa dot won't be as bad, but i'm not sure. I'm interested in the gold just because its different and could help. I'm bit worried tho, if I get a 2 moa gold dot, I might not be able to acquire the dot if I really need it. I would have to force myself to train if I went that route. The 6 moa gold dot might be that goldilocks sight that is decent enough for ccw and is clear enough to make relatively distant shots if needed.

Funny because I’ve anlways thought they were overrated, then I got a Glock 17 Gen 2 and thought “huh.. that’s pretty nice.” Anyway- since the Glock 20 gen 3 is close to and in some cases well OVER a grand now on gunbroker, I was thinking about finding a Glock 21 trade in and doing a conversion.
>>65453512>I have a pretty nasty astigmatism even with corrective lenses so if that's part of the draw for you my eyes could be a good analog. No, they couldn't be. It never ceases to amaze me how little people bother researching their own medical conditions. Astigmatisms are like fingerprints. No other astigmatism on earth is like yours. A dot looking good to you means absolutely NOTHING to the guy standing next to you with an astigmatism. If you have an astigmatism, you need to go look at any dot you're considering in person. You can't ask someone else with an astigmatism how the dot looks for them.

>>65453588I get that everyones ligma is a different flavor but sweet is sweet sour is sour and astigmatism is astigmatism. >>65453547I won't, but I'll tell you what it's like.Fewer gun choices, but that's only a problem if you don't really like the 10mm options. There are plenty of good ones. If you go 1911 - well, that can be hit or miss but everyone seems to be getting better at it.Ammo is not hard to find, but it's not as readily available as 9mm. Especially locally. Expect to buy online. I only shoot magtech as everything else is either loaded too weak, or is too expensive. It will always, always be more expensive than 9mm. You will probably shoot less volume, not because of cost, but because you will fatique faster and generally shoot slower with 10mm. With the extra recoil, you'll spend longer getting back on target so your split times will be slower. You'll fatigue faster. Mags are lower capacity so you'll have more downtime loading. None of which is really an issue - I shoot probably half as many rounds when I take my 10mm vs my 9mm and feel equally satisfied at the end of a range session. So it ends up maybe even being slightly less expensive of a range session on average. For me, it's something like this.200rds of 9mm100rds of 10mm60rds of 357

Like hypothetically speaking if the world ever were to go to crap, you better bet I’ll have my Glock 17 on me. 10 mm may just be a fleeting fantasy for me, but I do wonder for HD it’d be better than 9. We obviously have exclusive designs like the Alien and FK BRNO at a high price point, but most of that market is made up of regular old duty guns with custom parts and fine tuning.

>>65454840The ruger wrangler is like a little SAA. It's only in .22 though.
>>65454864>>65454840Also, the wadcutters are low-recoil as shit, even out of an LCR or Airweight, and very accurate. You'll enjoy training with them.
>>65454840The other guy (him). To add on to the other anonsz wadcutters have been known to be pretty effective for a while. You can find old forum and blog posts of shooters testing out wadcutters compared to hollowpoints in snubbies, and even then those posters talk about older shooters who swore that out of small barrels wadcutters were pretty mean compared to their competition. From a more technical side, the flat face of a wadcutter punches holes more cleanly through paper than ball ammo, which made them popular for target shooting. That same construction helps its terminal ballistics, since it doesn't have to expand and presents a more devastating profile against meat targets. The old comparison is that a boat going forward disrupts water less than a boat going reverse, because of the curved bow splitting the water and the flat aft not.
>>65453547Almost every reason why people say .40 bad vs 9mm also applies to 10mm.>less capacity>more recoil>more expensive>not significantly more power to make a difference (vs humans)10mm's niche is being adequate for bears with the right ammo while having more capacity than a revolver. Are you Alaskan or live near the North Pole?
>>65454864What about .38 Special out of a 3" barrel? Sometimes I carry .38 +P in my GP100 for easier follow up shots
>>65454893Haven't seen 3" barrel testing data but you can look for it.The data I've seen is with 2" barrels and 4" barrels.
>>65454893>>65454894Going by this data, I want to say that the Federal 130 gr HST Micro will PROBABLY reliably expand and penetrate between 12-18 inches out of a 3" barrel. The Winchester 130 gr Ranger Bonded +P PROBABLY will too.https://www.luckygunner.com/labs/revolver-ballistics-test/#38splThe wadcutters wouldn't be a bad choice out of the 3" barrel either, though. That extra inch will not make them overpenetrate and they're still going to be low recoil and accurate as shit.
>>65454892Full power 10mm is like 1.5x the muzzle energy of normal .40sw so it’s not the same argumentIf you, as the shooter, can control 10mm, it’s terminal ballistics are better than 9mm in most scenarios
>>65454900https://www.buffalobore.com/index.php?l=product_detail&p=111Is this a good choice?
>>65454926I can't guarantee that won't overpenetrate. Those are loaded hotter than typical target loads. Typical target loads are what reliably penetrate between 12-18 inches.
>>65454720>>65454724Whats the name of the cheap one that runs? May pick one up as well.
>>65454472The only guy I've seen with on was in the ak general like 3-4 years ago. He said it was pretty good but not worth the $1300 he paid for it (iirc it was $1200 plus tax ect at the time). If you buy one post it here several other anons been eyeing em but nobodies pulled the trigger on it yet.
>>65454920It is the same argument, because that increase in muzzle energy is not very relevant when you're discussing the effects of a pistol caliber on a human target (like that anon was). At the end of the day, you're still just poking 10mm wide holes. That energy matters more so when talking about something like bear defense, where that energy translates into greater depths of penetration.

Shot another 100 rounds carried in that pouch. Really just trying to get these magguts to have some sort of malfunction. Nothing so far. Found a nice spot to camp, going to come back when it cools off.
>>65453946I saw this image earlier that said brapnado and it had a woman farting down the hatch.
>>65455261Hell yeah anon. More folks should get outside and enjoy whats left of the summer
>>65455314It’s nice having a place this close. I hope it lasts.
how the fuck do you buy these SKUs? "Law enforcement only" shouldn't mean there's anything about the gun that's illegal for civilians, yet some of these configurations they have are fucking sick and you can only get them via these SKUs, but I can't really find any of them for sale online.https://www.smith-wesson.com/products/defense/pistols

>>65454779I can shoot pretty damn accurate with a S&W, up to at least 50yds (been years). Surprisingly accurate with a little 21A. 200yd plates (bench) with a Ruger Standard/Mk series. My 92FS? LOL. Though I did find the rear sight needs pushing which may explain bad accuracy. Now if I could actually PUSH the sight and it would move maybe I'll be more accurate. Big if about it moving though.
>>65455363Guns for me but not for thee
>>65454053Anon, are you suggesting that I carry a Makarov for self defense? I don't want to buy expensive hollow points for a cheap range toy.
>>65454732Victorinox Paring Knife (America’s Test Kitchen winner) SPOTTED
>>65452060What about it makes you think its an N frame? The half luger barrel? If yes just know that they did make those 500s in that profile as well, at to me is the only one id wanna collect
Do transfer bars ruin the feel of SAAs?I'm thinking of getting a Super Blackhawk because it has the transfer bar so you don't shoot yourself in the thigh and bleed out while carrying 6 but I hear that the trigger isn't as crisp. Is this true or just fuddlore?
>>65455581>Is this true or just fuddlore?Half and half The break is just as clean, since the transfer bar is raised into place by cocking the hammer, but the overtravel can feel a little mushy since it's the trigger that holds it up
Anyone try the 226X? I read the DASA doesn't have a 90 degree break like the Elite does, and I'm trying to make a decision on which to get
>>65455535I'd mount a reflex sight on that babeh
>>65455226If I build another 870, that’s it!
>>65455907Damn, I wish my 870 was a mariner
>>65455908No Kel-tec ever called me a mariner
Guys, remember the Daniel H9?
>>65455535I don’t understand why no one makes a SAA in 38 special in a slightly smaller frame equivalent to a k frame. Literally every 38 SAA that I’ve found is just on a 45 LC frame and cylinder with less material taken out which just makes it heavier. Granted they’re usually 357 mags- I mean that kinda makes more sense, but still. I just want a 38 SAA that’s not a boat anchor.
>>65456167>I just want a 38 SAA that’s not a boat anchor. And I want a Beretta 84 chambered in 9mm as well as a topbreak revolver chambered in .357 Mag. And don't even get me started on a PX4 Compact in .45
>>65456197>>65456197I get the appeal. Especially the revolver and Beretta.
>>65456197I just want a USP with an optics cut and a standard rail.
>>65456261And I didn't want to eat grilled cheese off the radiator
>>65455908It was a a Tac-14 I form 1’d. it’s slick!

>>65456068Yeah remember how people said it had 100% newly redesigned parts that are completely different from the Hudson ones?
>>65456325If by "people" you mean TFB, yeah.
Should I spring the extra few hundred dollars for a steel frame P38? It doesn't seem all that much more in the long run
I have a question for PX4Anon but I'm waiting for next thread
