there are reasons to use a clipdraw but only for certain individuals. basically if you want a holster and think you need a holster to carry a gun a clipdraw is not that. it is not a replacement for a holster.however is you are ok with mexican carrying a gun a clipdraw is a step up from that. some people are perfectly fine with that level of safety.the other thing is if you are a criminal who isnt supposed to be carrying a gun its easier to ditch the gun. vs carrying with a holster and being caught with no gun but a holster in the belt which leads to where the fucks the gun then?the other use case is on a bedside gun where you get up in your pajamas or whatever and wont have a holster on you. but you can still stick the gun in your pants mostly securly without worrying about the gun falling down you pants leg.clipdrawed guns do move around on the belt and you cant count on it being in the same place for the draw. however it will still be in your belt. vs i dropped my Mexican carried gun 15 yards ago when i ran.
