PDWs have FINALLY found their niche.
>flat shooter
>large magazine size
>low recoil
>small
>sufficient energy against drones
Everybody inside a 200 mile radius of a frontline WILL be armed with a PDW, probably with a smart optic in the 2030s. They are the last line of defense not against soviet paratroopers but against any slowish flying unmanned aircraft systems aka dronez. These will morph into an even deadlier all-pervasive threat. Solar-powered sleeper quad-rotors, AI-assisted targeting, swarms of drones, post-quantum drones, nanite-enhanced drones, invisible porcelain drones, drone-dispensing drone-dispensing drones with submunitions, RTG crawlers, salted drones. AA will not always be available, it has to reload some time, will be out of ammo after saturation attacks.
No one can afford not to be armed with a personal defense weapon to be used against drones. The 2030s will start the golden age of PDWs.

How would you design the PDW of the 2030s?
Tungsten shot with tracers for close range? Chemcial laser rounds?

I don't know if this is a troll thread or not

PDWs are worse against drones than ARs which also aren't good against drones.

I've been thinking about this recently. What about using those bee-hive .22lr 40mm rounds? Even if its only rimfire, it could hit way further than shotguns or that bb drone shot they're making.

rate of fire is too low

I am a certified troll and I can attest that this is not trolling OP is just a retardo

If you see "Drone Age" or "Obsolete" just assume OP sucks cocks harder like a piston engine

let's not worry about drone saturation attacks on personnel behind the lines

I think pdws are great for arming drones too.

I've said it before, I'll say it again: American 180 bros, we are so back.

This but 22wrm or 5.7x28

No Patrick we're not going to get a return of the SMG as a counter drone system

This looks worse than a guy spilling his own brain onto his chest through a newly made hole in his face.

40 round grip mag(mp7) or 50 round top mag(p90) and why? Ignoring caliber

Why haven't Ukraine or Russia just bombed the infrastructure to prevent these drones from being built or powered up? Can't destroy a bunch of little drones? I got it. But why not just bomb the big power plant, or transmission lines powering the factory or charging station?
>>
>>65455287
There isn't just one powerplant, there isn't just one factory, Plus a bunch are chinky imports. They did bomb a bunch of drone factories tho
>>
>>65455319
I got you, but if you bomb a few wouldn't it send that country into pure blackout chaos? What about their water plants, or sewage? To me it seems like Russia is using kid gloves and could smash Ukraine overnight, but is choosing not to, because why? Because if they did the USA and other's would be forced to respond in order to prevent the mass refugees/humanitarian crisis/death of all Ukrainians?
>>
>>65455360
The ziggers did bomb electric stations, they got fixed up. Water is easy to import, waste of missiles. Same for doo doo stations
>>
>>65455360
Water plants are relatively robust

I find it hard to believe they are able to fix them faster than they can be destroyed. If the USA could be set into a year-long power outage with a handful to a dozen of strategic strikes on the grid, surely Ukraine could be the same with much less. Without power, there is nothing Ukraine could do to defend against the Russians taking what they want.

>I find it hard to believe they are able to fix them faster than they can be destroyed. If the USA could be set into a year-long power outage with a handful to a dozen of strategic strikes on the grid
You are committing the fallacy of affirming the consequent.

They can fix them fast enough. The USA probably could too. Ukraine and Russia are living proof the American larpers fantasizing about sabotaging the power grid are idiots.
>>
>>65458873
>year long
Yeah man, i remember after Hurricane Irma and Helene the power was out for almost an entire decade. We lived off pythons, catfish and OP's gaping pulsating asshole
>>
>>65455163
He almost had me at Invisible Porcelain Drones. Why even mention the porcelain?
>>
what about automated turrets using pneumatic guns for defense on vehicles? I suppose this could also launch nets, bolo rounds or other projectiles

>cheap projectiles and propellant
>potentially very high rate of fire
>powerful enough to use against small drones at close range
