Thoughts on the Beretta PX4 Compact or Subcompact as a daily carry?
>>

Trash. Gimmicky design.
>>
>subcompact
No, theyre discontinued anyways
>compact
Sure, I like mine and its my EDC. There probably are better choices out there desu

Great gun. Indestructible. The trigger upgrade transforms it. It’s a bit thick. The subcompact is meh. I cc’d pic related for years.
>>
>>65455124
>Subcompact
Don't bother with it. Lots of other better alternatives in that size class (e.g. HK P2000SK)

Px4 is an excellent modern handgun in full size or Compact. For carry, as mentioned itt the Px4 is the somewhat thicker dimension so if you can get along with that it'll be fine. In reliability and durability the Px4 has no competition apart from HK.

>>65455124
Too bulky. There are better DA/SA handguns for this role.
>>
>>65455124
>smooth plastic "grip"
>safety/decocker are giant wings on the slide instead of idk just regular 92 safety/decocker or frame mounted
That said, other than the USP its probably the best .40 pistol
>>
>>65455124
I had one of the compacts in .40 Short & Weak. Outstanding shooter but way too chunky to be a practical everyday carry gun. Still kind of regret selling it tho.

such as

>>65455136
>this gun is great as long as you start with at least $400 worth of upgrades to the trigger alone
Do LTTcucks really?
>>
I don't understand the "chunky" claims. I've taken calipers to both my PX4 compact and my Glock 19. Outside of the PX4's slide releases and winged safety decocker levers, there's no spot on the slide or frame to indicate it is thicker than the Glock. It certainly feels chunkier, but it's definitely not thicker.

there isn't.

all you need is the trigger bar and potentially a lighter hammer spring. It would take me 2 minutes to install

are you too stupid to comprehend what I'm saying, are you stupidier than that gorilla monkey nigger you posted?

The mechanical advantage of the LTT trigger is just the trigger bar, the rest is just polished components and a lighter hammer spring. All you need is just the trigger bar and the hammer spring to get 70% of what the 250 dollar kit does.

It will take me 1 minute to disassemble the gun to the point where just the LTT trigger job drops in or just the trigger bar. 1 minute to reassemble the gun.
>>
>>65456481
stock PX4 trigger versus the LTT trigger bar's reset.

the Beretta LTT triggers have the shortest reset of any DA/SA that still has a firing pin block.

retarded nogun faggot

Idk about the small ones I just carry the fullsize
>>
>>65455886
I’m sorry man, the upgrade is like $80. I bought the LTT back in 2017 for $750. Honestly anything under $1,000 is immaterial for me, so whatever. I like the gun.
>>
>>65455124
Is it possible to get a gun without warnings on?
>>
>>65456499
NTA but
1: those are not the same trigger shoe so the comparison is a bit shit and retarded
2: I don't know why but my full size .40 has a reset out of the box as short as every Langdon demo like this I've seen. D-spring is the only work I've done
3: I paid $300 for mine new and I would never in a million years send it to Langdon no matter how hard he pays bots and journos to astroturf with advertorials
4: trigger bar literally never in stock by design to force people to send in for the full package
Handgun is fine

I'm a Beretta fanboy and I fucking hate that gun. That rotating barrel design is interesting from a mechanical perspective, but in reality it just makes racking the slide feel clunky and awkward for no real benefit. Get a 92 instead.

Trigger travel is the same no matter the shoe. There is no way in hell your stock PX4 is resetting in 2-3mm of travel

It's a mediocre choice at best.

The subcompact doesn't even have the rotating barrel design which is the entire gimmick of the PX4 system in the first place, making it effectively interchangeable with every other subcompact pistol. There is basically no reason to choose it over smaller versions with higher capacity.
The compact does at least have the rotating barrel which affords it slightly softer recoil. If that and the shape/layout is something you REALLY like then there might be a reason to opt for this gun but again it is competing with far smaller/slimmer guns nowadays. The juice would really have to be worth the squeeze and if you really try shooting/holstering a variety of modern slim framed CCW pistols the PX4 is unlikely to be a winner.
>>65456124
You can absolutely carry a PX4 just like you can carry a Glock 19. The question is why would you. It isn't 2002 anymore. We have 13-17rd capacity guns that shoot well and are super comfortable to carry.

If the reason is that you just like the gun and for whatever abstract reason it just shoots well for you then that's fine. If you think the PX4 has some kind of magic secret sauce with the rotating barrel that's going to make up for everything else then no. It doesn't. It isn't a bad gun per se, but it also just isn't that good.

Px4 is the best available modern combat and self-defense handgun apart from the current HK series and Grand Power.

How?
