Russia is the gift that keeps on giving
>>

genuinely what the fuck is the point when the bradley already has an autocannon and ATGMs? also how are they going to control the ugvs? do they give every soldier in the infantry compartment a Logitech controller?
>>
>>65456878
Fire Ants can perform multiple roles not just suicide runs

>also how are they going to control the ugvs? do they give every soldier in the infantry compartment a Logitech controller?

AI, one guy controls the 'swarm' giving them general commands
>>
>>65456892
>AI
god I can see the clusterfuck coming from 1000 miles away
>>
>>65456892
This, abstracted controls makes this sort of swarming shit possible. With controls like that you can have random JTACs controlling MQ-1s directly like it's COD

>>
>plz don’t cancel orders look we can into drone era too
Kek the uncs at BAE systems are creative I’ll give them that
>>
>>65456878
hey let's have some of these guys crest the ridge line first
hey let's not risk giving away our presence by doing a reconnaissance by fire but by sending some of those fucks into that terrain
hey there's some guys hiding from us let's see if some of these things can't flush them out into our LoS
>>
>>65456878
Depends on the range and battery life of the ground drones. Great reconnaissance possiblies and building clearing. I'd assume they can be controlled via Bradley operators and central command. But in a world of UAVs unless these things can travel miles I don't see a good use case, if anything it just tells the enemy a Bradley is within x miles.
>>
>>65456975
hey slap thirty pounds of detcord on that thing and watch this lol
>>
>>65456972
BAE has no part in this and Bradley have been out of production for years.

AI as in real swarming algorithms not LLM slop of today.

So those new A4's are just appearing out of thin air then?
>>
>>65457229
im making them in my garage
>>
>>65456878
A 25mm can't really do shit to a trench or tunnel system but sending UGVs in can.
>>
>>65456975
>>65456978
what if we had a tiny recon drone that could fly?
>>65457303
it looks like each ugv has like one (1) EFP and nothing else.
>>
>>65457309
>it looks like each ugv has like one (1) EFP and nothing else.
Yes,a big cheap chonker of an EFP weighing about 10-15lb, although they could easily carry a 20-40-50lb warhead. These things are less modern drones and more the archaic idea of a smart minefield.
>>
>>65457229
You think A4 Bradleys are new build? Anon I...
>>
They have something of a facehugger or similar alien creature. Its head is just there to kill you.
>>
>>65458259
meh my guys just mount IR activated EFPs every 20m in trees along MSRs and fall back to cozy OP and watch video with glee as you approach as we call in the swarms.
>>
>>65457320
fyi a 500g efp, when constructed right, can pen 900mm RHA. It's just a nice cone of copper backed with your selection of rdx,comp-b,or even homemade petn with an hmtd detonator frens. any 15yo organic chemistry student can easily make.
>>
>>65458950
holy shit anon are you, like, a navy seal? do you have 300 confirmed kills? you're, like, so badass
>>
>>65458259
what is a swarm of these going to do against a competent commander with a coaxial machine gun?
Every one of these costs $50k

>sit under the bushes or behind a hump in the dirt blocking your LOS
>wait for your vehicles to pass
>roll out and explode

welcome back goliath.
>>
>>65456559
I know they're just a placeholder but these drones look like shit
>EFP can't be aimed and is fixed at an angle where it'll have to be a couple yards from a vehicle to explode anyway
>Wheels are tiny, nothing would had been lost if they made them robustly huge like those remote flippable toy stunt cars.

>>
>>65459511
I don't think they're concerned with long-distance performance since they're being hauled on the bradley. Probably hollow/plastic for weight saving.
>>
>>65459511
Yes, but not in any tactically meaningful way, no. If they did the companies would simply add sidewalls.

Why is everyone shitting on this? It turns a Bradley into a smart mortar carrier variant. Solid idea.

implessive.

Weird, wouldn't UAVs be better both for scouting and combat? Any advantage of UGVs is marginal compared to UAVs here.
