I never realized just how important these tiger tanks were in ww2. I knew they were essential to some victories but I just watched a three hour documentary on the battle of the bulge and literally every single victory and major movement was decided with these tanks. The lines did not move unless tiger tanks were involved and you’d be lucky if you had a city being defended by ten Shermans if you could destroy two tigers. The more and more I watched the more I realized the Germans didn’t really have any kind of ultimate strategy or they weren’t just amazing and great at war for no reason. These tanks were the forefront of every major victory and they’re the reason the blitzkrieg could even work in the first place.
>>65457718Pathetic. The T-34-85 is widely regarded as the best tank of WW2. In one incident, an entire company of Tiger 2s attempted to destroy a lone advancing T-34-85 only to have all their rounds bounced by the T-34's superior angled armor. Said T-34 dispatched all the Tiger 2s with a single shot to their frontal armor that was constructed of pig iron. Wartime records indicate that the T-34-85 had a K/D ratio of 50,000,000:1. The single lost vehicle due to the crew drinking too much in celebrating their 1000th Tiger kill, and then driving their tank into a 20-feet deep river of Aryan blood. Fear of the T-34 was so great, that Germans would immediately surrender upon sight of them. The prisoners were then forced to lie down, and promptly run over by T-34s to avenge the 6 million Jews. Many historians contend that the Allies only won WW2 because of the T-34-85, and by extension, the T-34 series as a whole.
What is this slop
OP should be taken out back and put out of his misery
>>65457735>>65457773>>65457786I’m just telling the truth. All the battles in ww2 are meaningless and the only things that ever mattered was who had the most tanks or most quality tanks. That’s all the war boiled down to. Human spirit and all that didn’t matter.
>>65457820You literally cannot prove me wrong. You may attempt to dissuade me with facts, but no, I know ALL the facts. Perhaps an emotional appeal? NO. I have mastery over all the senses, I am zen itself. Even on the metaphysical level I'm unequalled. Come at me with the best retort your one-dimensional brain can muster, before the insurmountable wall of irrefutable truth that I have benevolently imparted upon you destroys your very comprehension of reality. Make haste. Already, I can feel your cells degenerating as your vessel slowly morphs into that of a water flea as you transition to the astral plane. Do not fight it, but embrace it.
>>65457718is this some sort of bit?>they’re the reason the blitzkrieg could even work in the first place.>Production of the Tiger I began in August 1942the blitzkreig was basically over by then. The invasions of Poland and France were done with like, Panzer 2's and Panzer 38t's for the most partalso the Germans lost the battle of the bulge
>>65457718German heavy tanks problem was maintenance when there was no time for that on the battlefield.
>>65458036Actually the problem was fuel which is why the tiger tank was abetter choice than most redditors believe
The tiger was made in a quantity that didn't really have any major impact on the war. The German's most impressive use of tanks in their major push through France was done with dinky panzer II's.Good tank though. It did help in slowing the American advance but that's not exactly what people think of as Germany's best showing in the war. It was already lost by then
