Wouldn't that be Third Amendment? Soldier being housed against the owner's consent?

Hey, if the Poolestinians manage to massacre a bunch of Pissraelis with this, it sure must be a valid tactic.

Yes they are.

Doesn't matter. the most noise comes from the propeller tips going supersonic either way.

I get what they want, they want more range out of HAHO jumps, but gliders or something that is actually silent and less RCS problematic would be the far better bet.

would toroidal propellers blades help?

No the speed and the sound is simply a factor of the RPM of the propeller and thus the tip of the propeller moving faster than the center. You'd still get the same effect at the part of the toroidal propeller that is furthest away from the center.

another issue I'd say was RCS. any prop is going to send return signals flying everywhere.

It does? Because honestly I worked under a small local airport for like five months that was very popular with these guys, and I could have sworn most of the nose came from the barely muffled two-stroke leaf blower motors, not props.
IE they are loud as fuck even when they're obviously not on the throttle at all, and the prop is barely spinning.

A really good lawyer could probably also argue a 4th amendment violation if they're on enough uppers.

Anon, props do not go supersonic except in very rare, unpleasant cases, like the infamous Thunderscreech and the TU-95

Why not put mufflers on them?
I've seen these large bikes (that looks over fed scooters) they have proper mufflers (unlike bikers bikes) and they are kinda quite.

Propeller tips speed are aimed at 0.65-0.8M max. Because of the shockwaves and noise supersonic brings.
Supersonic propeller is impractical.
