What's your favorite drone warhead?
>>65464466dildo bomb
M67 or F1
>Cum action warheadsFunny name aside these warheads are amusing to me, one moment its a sheet of copper, the next moment someone is missing 50% of their torso mass from a jet of copper coring them out.
>>65464492It's amazing how much damage you can do with something as seemingly innocuous as a hypersonic metal spike.
Are command-detonation triggers common on drones or are most drones still impact fused?>looking at the DFRAG
>>65464507Most are still impact fuzed (now with safeties that don't arm until a few minutes after takeoff), but lidar fuses and command options are far more common than they used to be - I'd guess they're maybe 10% of Ukrainian fpvs now.
>>65464466The Russian menu is more dropper-focused.
>>65464527Isn't that because Russia just uses RPG warheads since its cheaper? I know Ukraine does/did that
>>65464536It's because Russia uses stuff like Lancet for anti armor rather than commercial drones with EFP payloads.
>>65464466The EFP and directed frag are fucking nightmare material
>>65464466Whats the differences between the 3 Cumulative warheads?
>>65464466>LSCFG-09/8-576/12>LSCFG-05-792The forbidden fleshlights!
>>65464466Are these all Bring Your Own Explosives? It's funny that the US Army is also doing that.
>>65464623>EFP-SLooks like a basic RPG warhead, nasty but it won't clear a whole line of infantry>LSCFG modelsLook like deeper cones mixed with ball bearings/fragmentation loads, the heaviest looks like its basically an anti everything round. If those cylinders on the heaviest are supposed to shoot out on top of the cone and all the ball bearings that's a pretty good delete button
>>65464466>cumulative Russian illiterate translators strike again. It's called shaped charge, dofus.
>>65464623Weight, caliber and number of fragments i guess.09/8-576/12 - 0.9 kg explosives, 576 small fragments, 12 large fragments.
>>65464627>It's funny that the US Army is also doing that. Its not. Its running a bunch of experiments to see how these things would work. One of these experiments is>but what if we develop munition systems that can be created in the field
>>65464466Where are blast thermobaric warheads?
>>65464684>fragmentsThose are EFPs.
>>65464466I like the kit-2 warhead
>>65464807EFP/cone (/depending on warhead) is on the end of the barrel, sides have these ribs that's are filled with steel balls.
>>65464926Would that be categorized as HEDP?
>>65464956Yes.
>>65464492>>65464499They were a menace in iraq when just pointed at the road, now they can fly and be aimed
>>65465008dddouble kill
>>65464466finely powdered Cobalt-60 mixed into the exposive, airburst a few meters above the target.
>>65464466That 09-2040 is probably the best because it weighs the most and has the biggest number
>>65464466Those new fleshlight variants are wild
>>65464588How is that working for them?
>>65464926That’s not an EFP that’s a standard shaped charge
>>65464926>>65464926I'm no munitions expert but it seems like one or the other. If you are getting enough resistance from the walls to deform and launch your copper jet aren't the frag walls not going to launch at high velocity? How does HEDP manage both?
>>65464466arr rook the same
>>65465873Correct. You still take dog dick in your ass and mouth.
>>65465880the resistance from the walls doesn't really do anything, the explosive suitable for effective shaped charges has extremely high velocity and detonates from the blast wave, not heat like a true explosive rather than deflagation which is just a rapid burn that needs a case to build up pressure to make a boom instead of a fizzle.commercial shaped charges for cutting rebar and such use plastic cases.
>>65465886No? I suggest you read fundamentals of shaped charges by William Walters if you wanna learn this stuff
>>65464466MON-200 for UGVsMON-50 for FPVs
>>65465895911
>>65464926crazy how .177 BBs became the standard drone shrapnel. I wonder how much money crosman/daisy/umarex is making from selling these in ukraine by the palletful.
>>65466588Those aren’t .177, the metal balls in that photo are larger than that, but iirc the energy they were after with the claymore was 60ft/lb or force per projectile so they determined velocity of the shrapnel and sized it accordingly
>>65466589If frag 5 975 means 0.5 kg of explosives 975 frags it gives is us frag weight about 0.3 grams or around 0.177" steel ball diameter.
>>65466617A grenade pin is like 0.1in in diameter and those balls are way fucking thicker than that grenade pin, probably 0.25in diameter
