What is the military to VIP security pipeline like? Obviously special operations combat arms guys are the go-to choice for top tier security firms that guard figures like Jeff and now Peter Spiegel.

What are the consistent ways into these firms? I'm sure its just a client calling a security company up and asking for guards who understand discretion.

>Military to VIP security
if you're posting on 4chuds chances are you have overactive amygdalae and overproduce cortisol that you have no chance at VIP security. you don't get to use your piss bottle and take your anime pillow with you on protective details.
just be TS/SCI camera watcher security instead. get paid $120K to do nothing and have fun with cameras.
>>
Most VIP Security is tailored towards meatwalls that also happen to have guns and body armor. Unless you're an absolute unit and have done some field work like being a bouncer most VIP jobs outside of being a camera jockey are closed to you, since security can be 90% wrangling ultimately non threat retards.
>>
Do you have any personal protection background? No? Then there are multiple people more qualified than you competing for the same position.
It's one of those jobs where the public sector doesn't have any entry level positions. You were either a fed, or SOF with VIP protection training, or you're SOL

Why the fuck would you want to be Epstein's bodyguard?

Do you have any idea how much an elite bodyguard gets paid?

>Zinoviev is a former Red Army commando who grew up poor in St. Petersburg before finding a second life in the U.S. as a fighter

Does anyone know what he specifically was? VDV?

>Does anyone know what he specifically was? VDV?

the only published source of the claim he was a "commando" was himself telling a greenwich village NYC liberal newspaper in an interview in 2003.

he probably did 12 months as regular/airborne infantry or as a supply armorer or something.

once he got to america with nothing to do, he stuck with telling people he was a commando in order to get hired as bouncer, and then bodyguard for the rich, even as far as telling epstein (who wasn't very smart) and epstein believed him.

i mean, lolz, if you were a jacked fit russian arriving to america with no other skills in the mid-1990s, wouldn't you do the same?

VDV would be my guess They are (were) seen as the elite of Russian conventional infantry, getting better training and better weapons, and could be argued to fill a commando role
Besides that, I believe it is/was possible for conscripts who scored highly on physical and intellectual tests to be assigned to battalions under GRU command, which likewise had a commando-ish role

Do you want to work minimum 10 hours a day six days a week? And then subtract alimony and child support. Do you want chronic adrenal fatigue and blue balls from constantly being on edge, but nothing ever happens?
>>
If you're not 6'4"+ and 280+ you won't even get looked at for any of the well paying jobs. Nowadays you also have to be jacked to the tits instead of just huge. Anyone who doesn't care about those two things has their own government security detail provided. Regular VIPs want someone who is outright intimidating more than they give a shit about your credentials. You could be ex Delta with two dozen deployments but if you're 5'8" and 175lbs the agencies they use won't even give you a call back. The guys they provide for will ask for someone larger every single time. I was in the business for a while and the guys that get enough work to make a living are all giants. Washed out NFL/CFB linemen, MMA D listers, etc. All of them juiced to the gills.

>t. Only 6' 200lbs and briefly got into the business via some contacts while I was still picking up general security shifts when not on duty. It's not glamorous and for the most part the pay isn't actually great.

How do i get a job like that

It probably depends on the client and what they want. A 6'8 gorilla will dissuade regular shit-stirrers if you want to walk around in public, but I would kinda expect credentials to matter more as you move from the realm of "personal bouncer" to "executive protection detail", if that makes any sense
>>
I did VIP security and it's nothing like military service, it really is a specialised detail.

One part of this is that your forced on deployments with people who give no fuck if you live or die. Maybe you are on a yaught for a months, they bring no food for you, then just decide to go a second month. What do you eat? Most of the problems relate to the weakest link actually being in change of everything. If your vleutenant was a meth addled retard.

Another part is conflict management. The vip you're guarding might be the aggressor, attack you, attack another vip, demand a sidearm from any person including you. If it was a civilian you would just knock them out, but attacked my your own employer, who you guard.

Other element is medical because you never to basically be personal doctor.

So imaging a meth addiction who pays you, then tries to shoot at police then stab you with a syringe. And this is your job. Every day. You can't simply kill them, beat them, they are your boss.

>how much get paid
With the rich they never pay salary only hand outs. They just think they will pay you nothing, then a million dollars if you save their life.... but then they might actually do this. And they never pay expenses so will just go to a restaurant, which is ten times your salary, and you will just lose money that week. If you enjoy the lifestyle then maybe, that's why most people do it, like pretending to be rich.

But in hours, long term career, no. It's something guys who retire early do for a few years, a few months.

And you would die for your fellow soldier but some billionaire you never even know who forgets you eat food and use toilet. No. Kill any number of people, sure, but to die is not for money, cannot buy loyalty
