First for AR15!
I like it
>>65466297How do you like this can? I've always been curious about them.
>>65466297What reciever extension what buffer weight?
>>65466297average sized suppressor
>>65466369Actually pretty above average in Thailand or so they tell me>>65466348lwrc uciw with their standard buffer. I still need to test it in full auto to see if it needs to go up a buffer weight, I have another buffer where I replaced the non-tungsten weight with a tungsten one. >>65466311I like it tbqh. I wouldn't recommend it because the strela does its job almost as well while also acting as a better flash hider and is cheaper. That being said as I said before, so far anecdotally it FEELS like less pressure however I do think it's about the same concussive force if I were to measure it I bet, but it FEELs comfier
>>65466297
>>65466278I just think they're neat.
>>65466555THe more I look th worste it gets!!! XD
>>65466560xDxDXxxdDXXDXDx ok nogunz
>>65466579this but in the trans context
gun
Talk me out of buying a Spear in .300. It on paper seems like everything I'm looking for. >1:5 twist to run only subs>barrel length short enough but enough margin to work with my shitty can that has a 8" limit>adjustable gasOf course I could just put that money into a custom AR. Should I make a broke honey badger?
I finally got around to installing an optic on my AR. Lovely piece, required no finagling at all to sit correctly and put the dot where it belongs. Happy on that front. I have a different issue: How do you keep the gun steady on a moving target 100+ yards out? I consciously knew it'd be harder than the games made it seem, but minute arm twitches are enough to throw the center off. I want to be able to use this thing at 300+ without a stand. Is there a trick to it?
>>65467117https://flatlinefiberco.com/shot-stabilization-with-rifle-sling/
>>65467015You're spending ~$2.5k for a crippled .300. What are you going to do with it after the novelty of running subs wears off? Why even bother optimizing for subsonic ballistics? If you ever ran subs in a firefight, it would be as only the first few rounds in a mag. You'd want a twist rate that either works with both speeds or only supers.
>>65467135>firefightNo one's getting in firefight man. This would be for a home gun. I have 5.56 guns for any larp shtf scenario
>>65467173>This would be for a home gun.If you mean HD, you've over-engineered your way to getting 9mm performance and sound level out of a 9+[suppressor length]" barrel on a $2.5-3k gun.If you want a range toy you can throw a suppressor on, a Rossi Brawler costs only ~$270. Get a Beretta 92 in addition to that and you're good.
>>65467196I have been meaning to get a threaded barrel for my 92...
How far can I reach out with spicy handloads in a 16,5" 223 Wylde chamber? My main focus is to learn wind reading and working with a scope and not waste more expensiv ammo in the bolties till i learned the basics. Here are some bullets that will fit the magazine, my choice is the 75gr BTHP because its much cheaper. CPR is just the price for the bullet, not including powder and 10ct primer>75gr BTHP Hornady, BC1= .395 , 36cpr >73gr ELD-M Hornady, BC1= .398 , 42cpr>77gr SMK Sierra, BC1= .372 , 55cpr>77gr OTM Berger, BC1= .374 , 69cprWhat a stupid expensiv hobby, Im still missing a Garmin to find out V0 and ES/SD.How would a muzzle break improve shooting? Is it even worth it on a SPR?
>>65467256Seek help.
>>65467173Thermal? Peq15? Chronometer? Kestrel? Lots of things more important than a range toy.
>>65466555I like how centurion's quad rail looks but the lockup is awful.
>>65467307Those are all fine projectiles, I'm sure someone else is a connoisseur and can tell you more but I use off the shelf and it works fine. Repeatable 700y shots is very doable, definitely a near term goal. After that it gets dicey. Some people on here claim 1000y repeatable but I wouldn't hang my hat on it. It's obviously doable, just asking a lot. Something to work towards. Elevation is easy if you buy the right scope and work up a DOPE card, even without V0. Windage is easily done with quick windage mph method. My rifle is 3mph x 0.1mil x yards in hundreds. Your rifle/projectile might be 2 or 4 mph but probably not. This method works good enough for government work. It's fast and easy to remember. I just write the formula on my stock so it's impossible to fuck up. Good luck have fun. What country you from?
>>65467347Im kind of scared to do reloading for 556 again without V0 testing. Even while doing load to medium charges i get massiv pressure signs on brass, having V0 would give me a indicator that something is fucked up
>>65467307I save all of my brass and tell myself that I'll build a 300blk to reload for or just make spicy hand loads, but I keep putting it off.
>>65467418>Manlytears trying to load 556 into his magazine
>>65467318I think owning a bird would be more expensive
Is it as good as the e-shills make it out to be?
>winning an auction on something I no longer want after thinking about itsomeone outbid me please and tyhttps://www.gunbroker.com/item/1198132722
>>65467501>e-shillsThey're doing a poor job, I've never even heard of this company.
>>65467571What is your max bid?
>>65467622The current bid, 455
>>65466555You can keep the hotbutton. That is it.
>>65467571Fuck no I don't want that shit.
>>65467712Whatever man you smell funny
>have the random urge to upgrade shit on my perfectly fine, quite good at least mid tier buildWhy am I like this, and what should I buy?
>>65467885If you post it in the next five minutes I'll tell you what to fix but after that you're on your own.
>>65467889>16" BCM CHF ELW>PSA lower (not replacing the lower)>ACOG>Velos LBP (in transit)>Geissele SSA-E trigger>POF enhanced bcg>Raptor charging handle>Magpul BAD lever>Magpul bipod (not permanently attached)I feel like I took care of most of the "upgrades" when I built the thing, but GAS is terminalAlso feel weird posting my rifle so often kek
>>65467905Forgot the dual fuel Scout light and pressure pad; actually probably the thing to upgrade cause I swear the light is like 1/3 brightness with this stupid pad compared to the endcap switch and it's a proper SureFire pad
>>65467905nta but Larue mbt2s, swap the rmr for an adjustable rmr type 2, A2 grip
>>65467905>>Magpul BAD leverRedi-catch>slopmodHow sloppy is it? Be honest. You should be saving up for thermal, nv and mfal.
>can feel myself getting goybeamed into building another AR I can't stop buying gizmos and doodads
>>65467905Post your nylon. You do have mag carrying gear, right anon??
>>65467905>full length velos on a 16" with acog
>>65467933Just get a thermal to put in front of a magnified optic instead
why did bill make the urgi rail so slim?
>>65467986To remind you to wear gloves
>>65468007Yeah but you'd think since he ripped off the barrel nut from HK he'd have time to perfect the rest of the rail
>>65467328It's extremely solid. What are you on about? Do you even own one?
>>65468029Used to have a centurion 11.5 with their quad rail on it but sold it. I miss it
>>65468084I need ti buy a c4 for my 16" mid length c7 build
