Well that's the difference between a rifle body and furniture.The furniture on an AK is just for handling/ergonomics and you don't strictly need it to fire the weapon, and you can repair it replace it with any manner of trash as a result. But if your m14 is waterlogged you probably get a bunch of issues like the selector levers getting stuck, the sights going out of zero further then you can correct in the field, splitting around the trigger guard, etc etc. The jungle is awful. Jungle parasites are awful, trench foot is awful, trying to get to or from anywhere, clear anywhere, move anything. Wouldn't recommend jungle warfare
