this totally doesn't seem like a trap, haha lol
>>
I hate how 3d printing is basically the only production method that normies can grasp, and they think it’s the best method. You’d get way better results by making silicone molds of parts and casting it in durable plastics or metals
>>
>>65483246
you don't sound like you have any hands on experience with either casting or printing my friend.
>>
>>65483246
You can literally hacksaw aluminum plates and bolt it together to make an ar15 lower. You could carve one out of wood by hand.

>no you have to extrude plastic into a mold, you're not allowed to extrude plastic into the object directly
You're uneducated and unskilled.
>>
>>65483239
The guncad scene is still alive and well and files can be downloaded from their normal sources. I don't know what OP is trying to accomplish.
>>
>>65483246
>press a button
>get a gun
>noooo 3D printing is too easy and cheap!!!! Horrible!!!!
>>
>>65483463
More like press button and get a grip or handle of a gun you'll have to reprint with different parameters 3 times until it fits. Then you'll realize it looks like shit and that there's always better options to buy
>>
I bouht a milspec grip for $5. How much is a reel of filiment?
>>
>>65483151
what is the point of all this if you live in us?
>>
>>65484080
I think it is pretty nifty, especially if you are designing your own parts and adding them to print.
I would rather have a bridgeport in my garage than a 3d printer tho
>>
>>65483431
for now, but as the gun controlers get sites to stop hosting files its great to see them going up other places. can't stop the signal.

>>65483557
you can get okay a 1kg roll of pla+ for $8 or $9 on sale, a grip usually takes under 100g. the real benefit is the choice you have, dozens if not hundreds of grips available that you can then modify endlessly to look and feel exactly how you want. and the machine can squirt out guns.
>>
Anyone think there will ever be an FGC-223 or and FGC-X39? Or was the 9 the pinnacle of autism that no one will ever replicate?
>>
>>65484645
working on a way to do bottle necked cartridges without needing a chamber reamer, that is ironically the bottle neck.
>>
>>65484080
if something like the fgc9, decker, or urutau has caught your eye it's the only way to get one, the parts end up only costing ~$60 for a nutty9 or a decker too. if you like to build kit guns it brings the price way down and makes all sorts of things available that weren't before.
>>
>>65484080
fun
>>
>>65483246
It's the only practical method to use thermoplastics which have properties that might be desirable for certain things. You can make an injection mold but that is never worth it
>>
>>65483151
I’m only interested if you guys can do friction stir welded 3d printed
>>
Just got a 3d printer. Any recommendations to print as far as small accessories? Stuff like pistol mag loaders or battery holders? Just looking for neat stuff to print have no interest is printing guns
>>
>>65486605
bench blocks, parts trays, grip panels, flare launchers, triggers, sights. have you poked around https://guncadindex.com/? there's stuff on thingiverse and makerworld, but it tends to look like things people just caded up and maybe didn't print.
>>
>>65486660
I have not, will take a look around and see what's out there.
>>
Whats the point in 3D printed guns? You still have to either salvage parts from a real gun, or buy spare parts for it. You cant fully print a working gun, YET. Im looking forward for the progress the metal 3D printers are doing, in a couple of years i think it will be possible to fully print one. Then we are just left with the ammunition part!
>>
>>65487144
>what's the point?
Fun
>you have to buy parts
Ok. I also have to regularly buy groceries, toilet paper and cleaning supplies, as well as pay water and electrical utility usage and taxes.

>you can buy $300 in parts and print your own receiver
>you can buy $350 in parts and finish an 80% into a receiver
>you can buy a used firearm for $400
>you can buy a new firearm for $500
All choices are always available. Spend your money and time as you desire.
>>
>>65487144
you can print a ryno that needs 1 screw. just one. it prints in two pieces and requires almost no finishing. if you make it all plastic the chamber will be a little iffy, and it's not perfect even if you put brake liner in the cylinder but it's a functional firearm. you can make a nutty9 with just hardware store parts, 16mm od hydraulic tube and some springs you need to buy as airsoft or wind yourself, but it's doable with no gun parts. i made one, ecmed a barrel, it's not that hard.

>>
>>65486024
Brother, what? You can 3D print Polycarbonate and weld it with a soldering iron.
>>
>>65483246
Printfags are unskilled desk jockeys who don't into machining, so of course they gravitate to "press button, get gun"

They need to save the 3d printing for their little dolls and other toys.
>>
>>65488144
That’s a retarded way to get gyno and cancer

FRS additive is the most retarded metal 3d printing technology it is literally crashing a cnc mill so hard that you get parts somehow
>>
>>65488199
Oh yeah ? I don’t know shit about cnc machining?

> all my grocery bags say haimer, fagor, mitutoyo, Sandvik and fanuc from trade shows
>>
>>65488199
Chink shit CNC machines that cost less than $1,000 dollars and can cut steel, are the only thing 3D printing Melvins fear more than the female genitals. Just the same, they have about as much experience with the former as they do the latter.

30 years ago, guys started entire companies making guns using old Bridgeorts and CNC lathes they paid twice as much as you pay today on FB marketplace. These days, if you so much as suggest a barrel might be the last thing you want to 3D print, or that their gay little club drama about who did a meanie to the group think's favorite ken doll tranny, is lame, you'll get a hoard of poor dorks with slightly above average IQs makjng the attempt to "bully" you into conforming like they did.
>>
>>65488328
This, 3D printed guns were kinda cool but for some reason these guys made a hard pivot and it became more about having sex with transgenders and sucking tranny dick than it did about engineering fire arm frames and receivers for additive home machines
>>
>>65488387
Many such cases (all of them actually)
>>
>>65486024
>>65488144

>friction stir welded
I do that with a bit of filament in a dremel sometimes, it's clean but soldering does make a more secure bond.

> sucking tranny dick
You seem to have only one thing on your mind. It’s long and hard and not a gun barrel.
You faggots should stop projecting this hard and finally come out of your closet.
>>
>>65487410
I have yet to come across a 3d for one of these, just a mockup. Any suggestions? What name should I be searching under, as ryno and rhino bring up nothing.

Local Bedouins use basic bitch Carlo's as cheap, easy to manufacture singleuse guns for assassinations.
>>
>>65488799
The dev is a cuck and won't do basic mods to make it work.
It will be forever in beta

WTF? Did they neutralize gun nuts by injecting trannies into the community?
>>
>>65488799
You need to join the deterrence dispensed rocket chat, then navigate to the beta page where the latest files are pinned. You don't need to ask anybody to join or for the files, you just need to figure out a different chat ecosystem.
>>
>>65488387
Increasing the extruded thickness of a plastic "receiver" until your gun costs as much as the real deal, isn't engineering.

>>65488773
>MY DRAMA CLUB DRAMA ISNT NOT GAY YUR GAY
Remember when the 3D prjnting community was calling some Euronigger the JFK of the gun world, penning conspiracy theories about how the Kraut gooberment "took him out", and holding candlelight vigils for a guy who died from hypertension and a life of drug abuse?

Remember when Ivan had his weekly melty because someone implied he wasn't NuJMB for using a 3D scanner to create 3D models of old firearm receivers? And then he made a gay YouTube channel to own the hatters, and it just cemented he knew literally nothing he was talking about because he didn't have anything past a highschool deploma?

Remember Cody Wilson going from a 3DP pariah, to proverbial satan because he sold a CNC machine you faggots couldn't afford?
>>
>>65489316
did additive manufacture touch you as a child? i can understand being a luddite because you are a trained machinist, or being annoyed at all the "ghost gun" rhetoric surrounding 3dpg bringing attention and legislation to home building that previously flew under the radar. but there are new designs proliferating, and while most of the options are clunky pipeguns currently, they keep getting better. it's another way to make guns, one that lowers the initial investment in time and tooling significantly. you can just ignore the social aspects you don't agree with rather than ceding a technology to them.
>>
>>65489400
I'm not reading your gay little essay, Ivan. You're not an engineer, and your gaggle of butt buddies still haven't and never will solve the ammo equation.
>>
>>65483151
What can i make with common tools and a legit drill press? I make knives so i have knife making type tools
>>
>>65489744
first thing that springs to mind is an 80% ar with a cheap drill jig, you could also finish an 80% giesler 80% pistol frame easily. are you including a 3d printer in the equation?
>>
>>65489400
>3dpg bringing attention and legislation to home building that previously flew under the radar.
Luckily personal manufacturing of firearms has been held as a constitutionally protected activity with a historical lineage for all US history. Same ruling that 80% are not firearms.
>>
>>65489744
What do you want to make? Basically anything can be made if you can weld, hacksaw and drill. 80% projects are straightforward as you drill specific holes and mill out pockets.

AR15 and glock clones are the most common. But there's lots more like 10/22, 1911 frames and more. Lots of blackpowder kits are sold too.

>decide what you want
>open wallet
>receive the parts and materials you ordered
>follow instructions or figure it out
>be somewhat concered with the force necessary to insert friction pins
>have working firearm

How many zyns , empty beers and divorces until I’m a real machinist mister!?
>>
>>65490370
17 states still disagree to varying degrees, and last I heard there was no way to privately make a gun in california, you need to be licensed as a manufacturer. but Cody set a solid precedent there.

>>65490434
the implication was someone who derived a majority of their income from machining
>>
>>65490636
So anyone unemployed with a bench grinder? Who wire wheeled the flash rust off of something they got off the side of the rod and sold?
>>

i didn't know your autism was so severe sieg, or maybe you just wanted a gold star for owning a mill?

>>
>>65493048
Last I heard they shelved it because there was too much variance gun to gun and they couldn't get it to work reliably even with shifted pin options. Your best bet currently is to wait for a kit with a cut receiver and whittle or print a replacement for the missing sectionon. It's been quite a while since I've seen one of those up though, maybe someone told the guy destroying them like that to cut it out.

anon...gun cad is on twitter and youtube rn, torrent oddsea and gunad index all exist. the signal quite litterally cannot stop, unironically machineguns will be legal before 3d printed guns cease. if you wanna contribute to the proliferation of printed guns make them and post them or at least post progun ideals outside of a Mongolian basket weaving forum
>>
>>65497116
youtube that will change their rules, not publish those changes, then strike videos in violation of them that were deleted years ago? guncadindex is an external search for odysey, people can delete things and i've never been able to get lbry to recover them. odysey could go dark and lose everything there. spreading locations of the files is what keeps them available, if op wants to do that great, if you want to focus on propaganda to get more people involved that's great too.
