>>65494088I miss SK, born and raised there. Spent a lot of time in the Thickwood hills as a lad. I am a machinist, but have been taking classes to get into the medical field because I do not like breathing in cutting fluids and metal and plastic particles. The US is fucked, Canada is fucked, we got out during Covid, I do regret some aspects of moving down here, it was a very clear case of winning some while losing some. One thing here is people are noticeably more atomized where as I at least had a more cohesive community up there. It seems as if Americans are socially engineered to be isolated because if there was some semblance of community or interconnectedness the pedovores who control both political factions might find their grip on power being challenged. We certainly live in interesting times.
>>65494188I have a restricted Walther pp which doesn't look as terrible with the barrel sticking out less than 1cm. The restricted Makarov barrel looked pretty bad though which kept me from getting one at the time.
>>65494695Really? I thought it looked aesthetically pleasing.
What do you guys think of the new turkshit semi auto bullpup? Hatsan Escort BullTac, sells for a little over 500. Tube fed instead of box mag, so it'll prob stay NR.
Is it true as an American I can waltz into Alberta and accrue like 200 able bodied white slaves? I am told we are seen as Gods by you people
>>65494462Please leave we are full. Go fix your own country before bringing more problems to ours.
>>65494833
>jeets thinking anyone respects them
The propaganda gets more blatant every day. Having to listen to CTV at work is simply exhausting. Every story is in some way teaching you that Trump is Hitler and we should pay any price to stop him. Oh, and that the Alberta referendum was a vote on if you support orange Hitler or not. No room for dissent when you're drumming up support for a war.
>>65494795spas12 is the only turkshit thats tolerable
>>65494795Never buy turkshit anon. It's not worth it. Perhaps not even the Spass 12. Though i may still buy that one.
>>65494951Would you like to be a part of my white slave stables? Sound willing and subservient >>65494899Are you white? How much can you lift?
Anons, an open question I want to pose. There are many a men that thinks most his problems would disappear if he crossed a border. Whether that be to the south or across the sea to a far flung foreign land. I ask instead for a bit of introspection. For you to really think about if the grass is greener on the other side. If your own morality considers it cowardice or pragmatism to flee. I have my opinions, but my aim is not to espouse them. Rather I'd like you to sit down, in a quiet area and think to yourself about it.The answer you come up with is your own. And yours alone. But I have been surprised time and time again by people expressing answers that aren't their own. As they realize have never thought about it. Anyway/blogpost I went camping thia weekend and saw some pretty views. Wish I coulda done some blinking but no fun allowed in that area.
>>65494795 Not sure if I’d like to risk my face on it. Turkshit with the chamber directly underneath my cheek sounds like a bad time.
>>65495009>If your own morality considers it cowardice or pragmatism to flee. Why would you phrase it in the context of "fleeing something bad" instead of "going somewhere better"? Were the Scots and Irish who left the British Isles for Canada in the 19th century fleeing cowards? Or the Pilgrim Fathers in the 17th century? Or the Ukrainians in the early 20th century? The desire to improve your life by going somewhere better is a perfectly natural one, and when combined with a desire to improve the place you are going to is an inextricably White characteristic.
>>65495027>Desire to improve the place you're for you and not the native population Fuck off we're full. Sorry your parents failed at nation building but we don't want you to yuck our yum please understand
>>65495027The desire to abandon one's homeland as a mess you give up on to try and take advantage of someone else's success is a... white trait?
>>65495046The only way we fix this country is to burn it to the ground so that all the nons flee or die, and then start from scratch. Not everyone wants to try and live through that.
>>65495053>the only way to fix this is by completely destroying everything to an even worse state and THEN we will start improvingThis is not a white man mentality, anon. This just sounds like the common excuse of most refugees? I don't want that mentality that just shits the bed any time the going gets tough in my country. Why would I want that? Someone that will take advantage of social services, vote for foreign causes and politics, dilute the character of my communities, someone that doesn't respect our heritage and seeks to build some new society in their image?
What are you gonna do when the cops come to your door?>>>/wsg/6230609
>>65495066If you have any better ideas for fixing this hellhole, I'm all ears.
>>65495009I would like to leave the country but it would mean abandoning my friends and family so I stay here and suffer with them
>>65495066At some point, the white man stopped slapping women and telling them to shut the fuck up, whenever they spouted their retarded ideas. That is why we are where we are, right now.
>>65495078It's not my country and thus not my problem, stop looking for better men to do your work for you that's not my prerogative.
>>65495078>I've tried nothing and I'm all out of ideas! Whoa
>>65495027First off, you hostility at the use of the word "flee" betrays your feelings on this topic. You can flee without implicit cowardice. Like your aforementioned example of the people who built the country.Second off, going back to that example of the colonists. While it is true they fled, it was not for the same reason and not to the same society. They "fled" to a frontier with no infrastructure, no society with often nothing to their name. They built it from the grown up. Not only laying the foundations for society, but preparing the very land on which said foundation was set. Now, you aren't doing that. You aren't going to some new, unexplored land where there is no infrastructure, no rules. Everything has been established and made for you. With that laid out, I want to get to the third point. Your implication that it's a "White man" thing. What you just advocated for is exactly what the browns are doing. You know that right? Just replace "scots and irish" with whatever flavor of brown person you like.>But they're fleeing into our societies that are already well established.Yeah, like you would be if you left in the modern day. If you can't see the irony in that, I don't think I can help you. Now, im not here to judge you. I just want you to understand, truly comprehend what you are advocating for when you suggest it.
>>65495053That just leads to a brazil situation bro
>>65495009Bro my family fought on both sides of the civil war, I’m only in this shithole country because my grandparents were dumb hippies who threw away American AND euro citizenships. i’m just tryna reclaim my birthright.
>>65495341>family fought on both sides of the civil war,>somehow end up in British-controlled CanadaGod DAMN, bro. Fuck buying lottery tickets, you've got no luck in this life.
>>65495341>EuroBecause they're doing so much better.I can understand the American citizen thing. I was this close to being born in America because my aunt and uncle wanted to give my parents a house. But my elder sister got sick during the visit and "muh free healthcare" made my parents decline their offer and go back to living in Onterrible. But it may have been a good idea after all. Because they were trying to give them a house in Detroit so...
>>65495394Why are there so many niggers in Detroit? Something to do with the auto industry?
>>65495402It started long before that, after the American Civil War a lot of freed slaves moved up north for better wages in factories. Detroit was a major industrial city because of its location on the Detroit River close to Lake Erie. There were a lot of niggers but also a lot of whites, but then urban riots in the 60's caused all the whites to flee leaving behind a ton of niggers.Nowadays though parts of Detroit are gentrifying again so it's not as bad as it used to be.
>>65494321Any input from canuckanons on picrel? We in die bürgerreich recently received a shipment of these, and it seems like too good a price to pass up.
>>65495497In that configuration you might as well get an AR-15. The SU 16 entire gimmick is you could fold it up. And you cant really do that with that grip.I liked my SU 16. Especially the bipod/handguard ordeal. But it was only a good brush gun because of the aforemntioned folding.
>>65495497The main issue with that particular version of the SU-16 is that the bolt slams into the back of the (plastic) receiver so it's highly prone to cracking, at which point the gun is a total loss and when you send it in for warranty work they'll just send you a new gun. The version with the solid buttstock here is much less prone to that type of failure.Gun is fine and reasonably reliable, but gets hot quickly. Also they've been banned here for a while.
>>65495497I got to handle one in a gunstore. You know those cheap plastic beach toys, like a toy shovel and bucket you played with as a kid, all scratched up from sand and sun bleached, really flimsy feel to it? SU-16 feels exactly like that, and not in a good way.
>>65495497In addition to what the other anons said, realize that ARs were restricted here, which limited our options, and even then these were a poor choice. Paying AR money for one in the US is crazy.
>>65495497lelkek sucks

>>65496001The "hype" around that speech was so pathetically artificial. I read the transcript and he didn't say anything of merit, at all. They were hailing it as the greatest thing this century but nobody can point to what parts made it great because there weren't any, they're just required to say that it was great.
>>65496016No, American and European media like to use him as a prop every now and again. It helps that he's a relatively fresh face as a politician while having contacts across the globe.
>>65496028>I read the transcript and he didn't say anything of merit, at all. It's true for pretty much all of his public statements. The only thing that matters is the media headline indicating what the narrative of the day is supposed to be.

>>65494462Burger here, I think I remember you posting about coming down here back then. I think what you say about our being engineered to be isolated is very true, especially in the large cities funny enough. I've lived in Philadelphia my whole life and everyone I meet is lonely and separated. If you aren't tied to where you live for work I hope you can find somewhere that works for you, it is certainly hard to start over in an entirely new country as an adult without the kinds of close relationships most people develop when they are young. I wish you good luck.
>poojeet knows you're insulting him without mentioning themlol.
>>65495910tbqh if it wasn't for his insistence on keeping the gun ban I'd consider him a totally inoffensive leader and probably not really give much of a shit about him, outside of that one policy he's pretty lukewarm.
Kinda wish I'd gotten a Type 95 before the bans considering they were one of the only guns you could get in leafland that were basically unobtanium in the US. Were they actually any good?
>>65494321that thing looks like it was drawn by David Horsey
>>65496380No they keyholed pretty bad actually
>>65496380they were super cheap but the ergos were crappy and yeah keyholing with some ammo types
>>65496380You mean T97? The gen 3 was actually pretty neat, and I heard they fixed earlier QC issues. Unfortunately they were never imported in large numbers. Like I swear there were more T81s brought over in less time despite the T97 presumably being in active production still (whereas the T81 got made in special batches). Plus they probably could've sold for under $1k if importers weren't so greedy. Feels bad man.
trying to help a nu-gun frenis there any retailers currently selling un-issued SKS's?
>>65496674Throughout all the years of gun bans, Cabelas has always had SKS' in stock. Except for right fucking now, I just checked, they don't even list them anymore. Fuck

>>65494841I contribute to the us via taxes, not being a societal burden and having technical skills & knowhow that are not easy to come by. Considering the costly and pointless war we have found ourselves in the skills I have are going to be in increasing demand considering not everyone knows how to program or run mills or lathes or has machined super alloys like MoTi, MoRe or Ti 4Al 6v. Beyond that, I am technically an old stockAmerican and old stock Canadian, if your family were not on the continent before the founding of the nations your opinion on those nations should not be considered. Jamestown 1611, you can’t really get much earlier when it comes to European settlement in North America unless you count the Spaniards in Florida or Mexico. One of my forebears on my fathers side literally exchanged letters during his time as a captain in the Fairfax VA militia with George Washington.
>>65495497I have never owned one, I was pondering buying an SU-16 folder because they are honestly kind of neat. Ended up selling before I had a chance to get it and haven’t seen one up for private sale since.

i've got a pump shotgun and a lee enfield but i want a non restricted semi-auto in an intermediate cartridge that's not an SKS (stores near me seem to be completely out), any ideas or suggestions?
>>65497139Lucky for you, semi-auto in an intermediate cartridge that's not an SKS, is what theyve most effectively purged from the market. Theres nothing on the shelves you can buy, so you dont have to worry about it, move on, problem solved.
>>65497149accepting defeat like this is cringe as fuck, there's gotta be something that skirts the rules and is at least moderately useable, i'm just looking at semi's before i swap to lever actions.

>>65497641best we can do is a million jeets a year for 1000 years
>>65497605The US doesn’t focus on building the skills of its domestic work force. It’s not like you have a red seal system in place for the trades. Young people typically are not becoming machinists either, it’s a trade overrepresented by boomers. The youngest guy in one of the shops I worked at was 36. The other thing that I was trying to posit is that someone whose family has been here before the nations of America or Canada were founded have more skin in the game than the descendants of some pale of settlement spawned cloth merchant or a tuktuk driver from Bangalore. You sound like a Juden and I bet you do not even have a foreskin. How can I enjoy Canada when I haven’t lived there in half a decade and haven’t visited in more than a few years?
>>65497169I saw a thing where someone attached a gas system onto a Steyr 1895 straight pull carbine. It sort of worked. The Australians converted a Lee enfield into a LMG by creating a cam system that fit around the bolt handle, the op rod from the piston would rotate the bolt handle up as it cycled back.
>>65496674>>65496737To be fair after the bans the SKS was pretty much the only affordable semi-auto left in the country so no wonder they dried up.
So when exactly do you think we'll have an actual verdict on the court case? Late 2027 or something?
>>65497149I'm honestly convinced the goal of the bans wasn't even to get the guns, but to just make gun ownership so boring by banning every cool gun that it just kinda killed the hobby.

>>65498284Depends on whether or not Carney just wants to get rid of this legislative hot potato for the Quebec vote since to the average Canadian the supreme court is totally free from any liberal influence and thus it's not his fault anymore. He's shown to know literally nothing about Quebec pandering unlike Trudeau and has come under fire a handful of times for that.
>>65498267The purpose of so.ething is what it does. The OIC bans have had the effect not of confiscation but of destroying Canadian firearms retailers and manufacturers by eliminating market and saddling them with unsellable market share.Look at the Crypto. The RCMP knew damn well what it was, and that it existed for a long time. They're not blind or dumb. They had already reached their descision from the getgo. But they waited over 6 months to issue a Prohib FRT (or any kind of ruling) specifically and deliberately to screw over retailers, purchasers, and the manufacturer. Despite the rifle complying with every single new law on the books.

>>65498333>unsellable market shareUnsellable inventory. Fuck my typos
No troll: Are there any legitimate, practical reasons to own an intermediate rifle (other than sks) anymore? What is its niche? (assuming your only options are what are currently on market)Like, you get a full power rifle for hunting game mamals, a shotgun for birds and (God forbid, home defence) a 22 for plinking and small game, whats the niche for an intermediate, if not a semi? When we had semi options it was reasonably obvious, its your 'life on the line' rifle. the first one you would grab if you wanted to survive somthing terrible. Bolt .223/x39 does not fill that niche. and outside of shooting coyotes its never really an ideal hunting round. Is it reasonable to just completley skip over intermediate rifles now? (other than sks)
>>65498267That was literally Poly's stated goal. They wanted to target "cool-looking guns" as well as airsoft for being "gateway guns", they even wanted to ban advertisements that made guns look cool in earlier legislation. Their plan was to eradicate gun culture in Canada by making guns as unappealing as possible.
>>65498358The straightforward reason is to possess something that has comparable firepower to what the police and military have. Currently most of the options suck although the Alcor seems alright. It's probably best to wait for the Carmel though.
>>65498284>90% chance courts side with the governmentActually appeal hearings have a pretty high success rate, the fact that the SCC even agreed to it means there's some serious legal considerations involved>and even if they don't they'll just ram a bill throughWhy the fuck would they? We know for a fact that they want absolutely nothing to do with this anymore based on the leaked recordings but are just stuck in a sunken cost situation at the moment, the SCC killing the program would be a god send for them.
>>65498361I'm honestly surprised they haven't (publically stated) the want to ban video games and movies that make guns look cool since those are also "gateways" to wanting cool guns.
>>65498383Nah, video games did that for them by themselves. Remember new tech workers are overwhelmingly liberals that think guns are the devil. Nowadays they just rename them to fictional alternatives.

Anyone know why my SKS just decided to be a jammy piece of shit?It was fine, classic 11th hand Russian but it ran like hot sex from the first day I owned it until last year. Shooting the same stinky norincy as ever, but now it won't cycle fully. Sometimes the bolt moves rearward just a bit and the spent case goes back into the chamber. Sometimes it pulls it out just enough to extract it but then it won't eject for shit, like it barely reaches the ejector and then the spent case gets hung up between the bolt and the rear sight block. Legit cannot get 3 rounds off in a row without some sort of jam.I have cleaned it, scrubbed the chamber with a brass brush, gas piston moves well, the op rod it strikes has been taken apart and cleaned well and moves freely. The recoil spring seems fine. I'd say fuck it and get another if they were $200 like when I bought it but this is my only semi these days and I kinda need it to work.Important detail: I did add a BadAce rear sight mount. It worked fine with it for a while before the jamming started and I don't see how it could be the cause but I'm not a rocket surgeon.

The idea of traitors is quickly becoming in vogue. I don't agree with it, this is just what it is. Move smart and adapt or figure out the hard way what this country is.
>>65499635We know at minimum 89% of the population's conviction can be swayed by peer pressure/threat of job termination. This isn't a very reassuring threshold. What does that number become when prosecution/persecution/violence/death is added into the mix? We'll be conservative and say ~5% of the population will hold out and be willing to fight for their beliefs, maybe ~1-2% would accept death as the alternative. >>65499587That guy is crazy, BUT you aren't looking at things from the perspective of a poorfag or plinker. The only cheap rifle rounds are x39 and .223, and .223 bolt rifles are cheaper than x39s. .223 is superior to x39 in nearly every way, particularly at a distance. And it is effective on game up to deer or even for animal defence outside of grizzly country. Finally, .223 guns can take 10 round AR mags.
>>65500355>Finally, .223 guns can take 10 round AR mags. Not much of a win when AR Magwell semi autos are almost nonexistent and manual action guns dont have mag limits.

>>65499429no actually, that is curious..i meant inconsistent ejection is a sign of a bad extractor, but because the case is tapered and not straight wall it only takes a few mm rearward for the friction between case and barrel to be overcome, and the extractor’s job is mainly done (besides acting as a pivot point for the ejector). clean the gas system. maybe its not enough force. if it gets stuck you can at least try to isolate the friction point by feel and inspection.
>>65500682if you can cycle it well manually (and hard) maybe something is blocking the gas port in the gas block.

>>65500693yea desu idk, gas ports dont really get blocked thats not a common failure. shine a light thru the barrel and if you see it come out the gas block that means theres no blockage, maybe there is lead or copper “welded” to the hole keeping it obstructed. but first remove the badlands mount. another shot in the dark but even if the piston cycles smooth by hand it whips/bends under recoil and maybe the way its attached via clamping force reduces clearance for the rod by warping the housing idk. try the latter first.

>>65501094Top loading reduires a double-stack/feed mag, which requires a stronger mag spring, with the end result being alot more friction when working the bolt.Still arguably worth the tradeoff though. even though the whole point of detachable box mags is not having to load individual rounds into your gun.
>>65500537>7.62x39 soft points outperform .223Only at relatively short ranges, beyond which the opposite is true. >>65501512Firearms that are actively being oic’d away, a charter of rights that can be suspended, and socialized healthcare that we are forced to pay for and is notoriously terrible.

How do i stop being canadian? Can i not just silently proclaim myself a non-citizen, cut up all my ID including birth certificate, and refuse to ever identify myself to the feds again? Then i could hop the border 'without consequence' because living there with no id would be no different than living here without it?
>>65502154That's too bad, the spring gunshow in Dawson Creek was really good.
>>65501987I've never had x39 anything fail in any way ever, which is why this vexes me so. BXN shit is HOT though, if that's not cycling it something is bigly fucked.

>>65496860Good stories? Welp /k/ related, I guess, I've had guns pulled on me by strangers several times. Once was an attempt to mug me, the second was a successful mugging, the third was a guy who REALLY wanted to get into a parking lot that was my job to keep people out of. These incidents were all 10-15 years ago. After that third guy I got into guns myself, and wound up pulling guns on me a whole bunch of times (she drank a lot), nearly shot her sister in the head with a 1911 and blasted a hole in a TV elvis style. She eventually had me arrested when I hit her during one of these freak outs, but I beat the charges and am still fortunately has guns. Broke up with her about 4 or 5 years ago and she recently did the same shit again to another boyfriend. Maybe tomorrow I'll remember some better stories but that's what I got that's /k/ related. I don't know if that's a common experience here or just a result of me living in shitty neighborhoods and making bad choices in women.
>>65496860Oh and I lived in Germantown most of my adult life. I'm in the next neighborhood over at the moment.
