Probably because almost every early post war fighter (besides weird UK stuff) from Pulquis to Migs to F-84s were based on the designs of one guy, if he didn't design it someone who worked with him did:

there's no proof the USSR copied this
>>
>>65496463
They just happened to capture the blueprints, half the design team and the wind tunnel models then immediately gave them to the Mig-15 design team. Total coincidence. Just like how the Mig-9 used shitty copies of shitty Jumo engines, it was um...Parallel development.

The skin was reinforced laminated wood veneer like a Mosquito but with a thin aluminum coating attached with epoxy as far as i am aware.

the russisns themselves appreciated hugo schmeissers designs, thats why they put ut on that monument
and there is proof that
russian hookers do the nastiest shit here in austrias whorehouses, not even the african and latina bitches would take that.

There were wind tunnel models.
IIRC:
The thing obviouslky can't go supersonic, but the swept back wings work well into the transopnic regime (they are what the Sabre and MiG-15 wings were based on).
Directional stability was not great due to the relatively small Vertstab and overall stubbiness of the aircraft, and the T-tail comes with obvious limitations.

Given that it was teh very first single jet fighter concept, it was pretty solid. You can see the lineage in the Sabre, MiG-15 and Tunnan.

Lampshades.

looks like shit

It is. Kind of crazy how modern military aircraft are so fuckhuge compared to their ww2 counterparts.

That's likely one of the defensive fighter designs that just need to be able to climb very rapidly.
