Why the fuck is sniping even a thing? I get cucked out of the chance to up my bid, the seller gets cucked out of a potential higher price; and overall gets less activity because people know instinctively that there's no point in even touching an auction until the last 10 mins; so they watchlist and forget about it. Everyone loses.

I bid $8000 on a dragunov and didn't realize the fees would make it end up at $10k. I went in wanting to spend $6000, but someone bid $7000 and I went for it. Just took out a loan for home improvement before it, too....
