The basics of stealth are

>be quiet
>be quick
>hide behind cover often
>use knives and low caliber firearms

More advanced skills of stealth are

>travel at night in darkness
>avoid areas with natural or artificial light
>wear exclusively black clothing
>move slowly and stay low to the ground to avoid having your silhouette exposed to the enemy because even if you are surrounded by darkness, you can still get detected/noticed if you are in between an enemy line-of-sight and a background that isn't fully dark
>go prone in fields where there is no growth or there is light but you have no choice but to cross
>shoot out any light bulb or lamp that you can with an airgun or a crossbow so you're not heard, or find a junction box and turn off all the lights in the area
>climb trees regularly to surveil the environment and get a better 360° of your surroundings

it's almost impossible to spot someone hiding in a tree at night, I know from personal experience

>if you have to take someone's life, you must always begin by plunging your blade into their kidney or their liver so they do not scream, if you slit their throat first, they will scream, so you have to go for their kidney or their liver first, that can mean the difference between getting spotted and staying hidden
>if you have to answer a radio, don't, it's better to stay quiet, especially in low-budget environments, guards will just assume their guy is asleep or away from the radio and not really suspect anything
>shoot cctv cameras with an airgun or a crossbow so you're not spotted by technology

Anything I am missing?

Can't help but laugh at you in that wack getup trying to look "hard" with those scared prey eyes

I am not trying to look hard, there's nothing hard about that getup, the point is not to be seen, when I took that photo I had a low spermcount due to porn addiction, this entire thread is about stealth.

Try finding me in this photo doofus.

Sorry to ruin your shitposting but stealth is better served hiding in plain sight. Want access to literally any building in your city? Throw on a high vis vest and carry a clipboard then just walk in through the front door and tell them where you plan to go. They'll be more than happy to assist.

That's social stealth, I'm talking about pure stealth.
>>
>>65516123
you're behind the camera numbnuts
>>
>shooting out anything
lmao
Not only is it loud as shit its also obvious as fuck you are being infiltrated when investigated.
>>
>>65515788
>wear exclusively black clothing
Wrong. Black is extremely rare in nature. Very dark brown or green is better.
>>
>>65515788
>use knives
No. Many stealth classes will teach you about how loud people get when stabbed; even if they don't yell, that gasp/suffocating noise is really loud. In WW2 the SAS started out with knives, and many of them switched to blunt objects for melee stealth takedowns.
>wear exclusively black clothing
Also no. Black is such a rare color in nature that even in moonlight you can be easily spotted. The ninja clans of feudal Japan knew this and would often use the same colors of their environment (dark green, brown, gray, etc.); later in history, the Rhodesians would also learn this the hard way.
>shoot out any light bulb or lamp that you can with an airgun or a crossbow so you're not heard, or find a junction box and turn off all the lights in the area
LMAO, no. Any sentry that knows his route will wonder why the light that was on a few minutes ago isn't on now, and they won't lose suspicion in 15 seconds like they do in your stealth games.
>if you have to take someone's life, you must always begin by plunging your blade into their kidney or their liver so they do not scream, if you slit their throat first, they will scream, so you have to go for their kidney or their liver first, that can mean the difference between getting spotted and staying hidden
You also need to also be covering their mouth or choking them out. Reminder that even if you hide the body like in your favorite vidyagame the blood splatter will alert anyone who comes afterwards. For "pure stealth" you need to alter the environment the least you can.

A person's eyes are much more effective at spotting things than a mediocre camera. If I took a picture at night with no flash, then the camera didn't capture anything, but I can see just fine.

Tbh I've always been skeptical of this. Human low light vision is so terrible I'm kind of the opinion that all dark clothing is pretty much the same universally. We're like 99% more attracted to any movement than shapes.
>the Rhodesians would also learn this the hard way.
Source? Genuinely curious

How does this put me on a watchlist, should I be that specific and say you should only sneak around and use these tactics during wartime, who sneaks around during civilian time, why would I want to infiltrate an enemy base in a country that is not at war?
>>
>>65516602
Yes on movement, but not quite on all the same. There is still silhouette that can be detected any time there is ambient light. Darker blue shades work best. The distinction is made especially when you are going for true stealth and not just stealth.

>missing anything
Yes. You sound very young and full of odd perceptions.

Avoid shine and reflections. Anything that reflects light. Modern electo-optical devices have strong software (AI) trained to detect minuscule shine and reflections. Hoods and ARDs for optics is a MUST. Also, minimizing thermal signature is absolutely huge anymore. Umbrellas are surprisingly good, create an air gap, thermal blankets are garbage. Even if a munition equipped fpv drone doesn’t have thermals, often there’s a loitering drone higher up with thermals that can direct fpv drone pilots.

Vehicles… for vehicles made ~2011 onwards…disable your vehicle’s telematics/dcm/whatever module either through unplugging it and using a bypass board or splice (best way), or by removing its dedicated fuse (if it has one). This unit is a cellular and wifi system that will connect in order to transmit driving data, vehicle telemetry, and location to the manufacturer (they sell this data to Seisint and other data brokers but also insurance companies, law enforcement, and municipalities). Somply unplugging the antenna or wites to antenna is not enough as the whole vehicle’s wiring harness itself is often enough to get several bars of reception. Hyundai’s and BMWs are the worst since their telematics units are deeply connected with other modules, meaning disabling either renders the car useless through cascading faults or renders many functions useless. Vehicle TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) are wireless emitting sensors in the tire valve stem on the inside and are coded to your vehicle. TPMS emissions can be read up to 100+ ft away. Disable this using a scan tool/programmer, or just remove them and deal with low tire alerts on your dash. Some vehicles just use suspension deflection

It’s best to move in rain at dawn or dusk where electro-optics and drones are at their worst, but not snow. Snow will give your ass away.

The french military did a big study on difficult colors to see. A plum/dark maroon was most difficult to see at night.

To prevent the war, duh.
You seem pretty bad at this sneaking espionage stuff.
