The Yamato and the Musashi vs the entire Royal Navy battleship force, who wins?
>>65516882seeing as the RN fielded 24 battleships over the course of WWII, them obviouslywhat answer were you expecting?
>>65516886>24 battleshipsMost of them were ancient WW1 vintage though.
>>65516886There’s a guy who’s on a kick of making “what if thing:germany were thing:japan instead” threads lately

>>65516882>who wins? The one that could still acquire fuel
>>65516893Does it matter? They still bite, and need to be shot at, actually hit, and actually sunk. Even the worst they could achieve would be to buy time for the rest of the fleet to pepper Yamato and Musashi into oversized, leaky barges, assuming every RN vessel is would somehow magically be barred from penetrating their main armor belt. 12-to-1 is a pretty bad situation to be found in, when you can fire only just over 1.5 salvos a minute.
