It can be exciting but the nature of it is killing and one of the things to realise is few deaths are instant or clean (it does happen but most are not) while I love weapons I do not like what they do and no more that being in an abbatoir is fun neither is much of the contact if it is more than a brief firefight. Even when that ends if anyone tells you that they 'enjoyed' being beside men while they were dying afterwards and it takes time and you are there hearing their bodies fight for every second of life while knowing they are dying, chocking, covulsions, spasms, cramping as oxygen to muscles falls...dear God let there be an end to war.
