Because they are in-group losers. They feel that they have not been dealt with fairly within their own group. Whether that's true or not doesn't matter, reality is belief.

And in-group losers *hate* their own group more than anything else. That's why they become traitors. They glorify and support anything that is not (or is directly contrary to) their group. They're spiteful little pissants.

Ukrainian ballistic missiles are getting better. And reportedly, they are ramping up production.
I don't see how Russia can defend against these.
>>
>>65525304
Apparently Ukraine's homegrown glide bomb kits have gotten a LOT better than when we first saw them too
>>
>>65525312
I think France might have slipped them some something somethings like the AASM Hammer to help there as well as just letting more of them loose than they used to earlier in the war
>>
>>65525332
I do remember seeing that Ukraine got more AASM Hammer's, but there was an article or some kind of twitter thread that was discussing upgrades to Ukraine's homegrown glide bombs. Basically saying that the range was increased (though not by much from what I remember) and the newer guidance packages were the biggest improvement over the older ones but still could be improved on in the future.
>>
>>65525069
The ass is in the ass.

>>
>>65525343
Yep I think the guidance was one issue to cut through ECM and still do it for a decent price point. They're messing up a lot of command and drone-ops buildings with them though which I think sent the guys from Rubicon to hell. Plus just hitting command buildings is all good when Russia has to find dozens more officers in a hurry to replacement, really messes up command and control... I would say it messes up tempo as well and then I remembered Russia has the tempo of a geriatric

>Surely you are in jest?
You now remember all those "drone partnership programs" that every Baltic and half of middle-Europe is signing on to.
They're buying drones from Ukrainian companies and setting the shipping address to Kyiv, it's a soft way of providing arms and economic support that the voters at home don't get too upset about.
Some percentage of the produced drones might be exported to make the domestic inventory look good and let their militaries modernise.

Calling out Cucker specifically for that is a bit weird, as he did man-up and publicly, unambiguously denounce Trump and all his previous support for him. Definitely a grifter, it's amazing how much money he managed to lose Fox by leaving a conspicuous trail of evidence showing he didn't believe what he was saying on the show. Strange thought experiment: Name one journalist who has successfully done more damage to Russia/Putin's credibility than Tucker managed with that one interview.

Russia doesn't have 'allies' in any sense of the word, they have 'opportunities'. Iran was an opportunity to stymie their munitions shortage and fast-track domestic shasneed development, then they became an opportunity to raise the price of oil. Armenia and Syria were full of opportunities for them, until they weren't. You think Putin would feel some kind of humiliation or existential angst if someone invaded North Korea, since they're also a Russian 'ally' now? Opportunities, not allies, you misunderstand them completely if you think they give a shit if someone's blowing up Iranians (except on how to profit from it).

This. Putin's Russia will side and betray everybody at the same time if they see it convenient. There's no morals involved, only short term gain.

Putin helped Trump and Netanyahu gain power, and then probably pushed the Iranians to push Hamas attack Israel on Oct 7 because that was the best outcome for all 3 of them.
The iranian rulers are just schizo patsies high on their own religion and hate of the Sunni states, but they also got to force their population against the West instead of against them.
>>
>>65525449
The US attacking Iran is very good for Russia though, because they benefit from two of its main consequences (increase in oil/gas prices and shortages of interceptors)

The territory stuff is something he obsesses about a lot. Probably some kind of prestige thing of 'making america bigger' for him. Could also be that more territory = more power thing you see a lot with thirdies. Which usually never works out, all that fighting (politically and militarily) over territory wrecks more value than it generates. A true lose/lose scenario. Russia now gets all their stupid shit blown up cause they wanted more stuff to plunder. Ukraine gets poorer, but survival is priceless. Russia gets poorer, but Putins izzat is most important to him. It's like how Jersey has it's own language but only like 12 people speak it on the who island. Also Malta is in the EU and their official language is English.

This war is turning me into a pyromaniac, bros. But not the usual kinds like a fireman wanting to burn down a building to try to be the hero or a bum flicking a lit cigarette into a dry bush because they don’t care for anything, I want to see a great pillar of fire, its mighty flame erection visible until only the curvature of the earth pulls it down, the raw noise of crackling fuel drowning everything far beyond the zone where the temperature becomes incompatible with the presence of liquid water in my body.

Those refineries are massive installations. You don't hit them once and suddenly they produce 0. It also heavily depends what is hit. Some things can be repaired decently quick, other things could be months or sanction stricken never. Those strikes hurt Russia. You have seen the queues, they already stopped exporting a lot. Countries can absorb a lot of punishment, but the important thing is that it's ongoing. It will only get worse and Russia has not the necessary alliance structure to balance it out.

They get repaired, loaded with product, then hit again when they're full of energetic hydrocarbons.

In this case several critical bits were apparently blasted, which will need to be fixed before operations can be restored.
A few months to do that. Probably 2 or 3. Potentially longer given these kinds of repairs in demand, I wouldn't expect it to run well until early Spring/late winter.

No but here's how you could.
Go to a satellite map (a BDA pic will do if it has a scale) and measure the width of that lid, then pause the video at its highest point and try to understand where it started from in the video, unfortunately that's behind a building but I think there are other visible tanks so you should be able to estimate it.
Then draw some lines and do some basic arithmetic, no trigonometry required.

Once the elections are over Putin will "listen to the will of the people" and make another partial mobilisation from people outside of Moscow / St-Petersburg, that fails to gain territory on the ground on account of lacking everything actual needed to make an army functional (such as vehicles), so all they'll be expected to do will be to
>scare the european countries into stopping sending aid otherwise they'll be next (won't work)
>plug up the holes in defense (exploiting the Ukraine's naturally cautious approach to assault), and hole up in miserable conditions for the winter (or at least until Putin can get Trump on the phone and ask him to blame europeans and Zelensky again... actually scratch that even if Putin makes that phonecall the conscripts will still stay miserable)

True, they almost certainly will.

The "1300-1600 drones launched" is complete cope, as it likely wasn't even half that, but Rybar is correct in the sense that Ukraine did toss an extra amount mass towards the city to make those hits.
It will take a bit before another build-up is made that can critically wound infrastructure in Moscow. Issue for the monki is those repairs will almost certainly take longer than that.

Boils down to being the same direction brained ideology that MAGA and Russia both share.
Also keep in mind, we can all rightfully shit on cucker, but propaganda is just as effective in America as it is in Russia, since while a majority of Americans have and continue to support Ukraine's right to exist and to defend their rightful clay from Russian aggression, Cucker's constant hit pieces and trump's whining took it's toll on Ukrainian support among American conservatives to the point a partisan gap for supporting Ukraine still remains today. 5th columnists man.

>Can you join the Ukrainian army as a foreigner if you have no military experience?
If you really want to go fight and have no experience whatsoever, join the reserves in your home country then (after training) apply for permission to go. That could well be enough.

Otherwise, it is not impossible though it's not necessarily wise.
If you're actually a capable, fit, and not fucked up, individual, then it could definitely be done.
You'd go to Ukraine as a volunteer worker and help out on civilian stuff, maybe join an evacuation group or something.
You'll make contacts there and then you hang out at a military bar and ask around and if you've established a good rep, you could get brought into a foreign unit.

The foreign legion is more or less disbanded and its personnel split up into smaller units that function alongside regular formations.
One formation has all the columbians, another has arab speakers etc.

Oh yes, very much so.

The primary issue at the moment is convincing the eurocrats they need to get on the ball and start doing the same.

Bottlenecks in and around jet turbine manufacturing for Ukraine could really be solved if some EU countries started placing orders for some tens-of-thousands of them. Which they should have started doing 18 months ago.

They're usually careful about not selling out in an espionage sort of way, can you blame a man for saying controversial things out loud on a channel that receives advertising revenue from a chain of russian restaurants or something?

His projects haven't been cancelled, though there might be some funding questions.
They might not be as Full Speed Ahead on new drone projects though, partly I think because of budgetary concerns and the military not wanting to give up on other weapon systems.
There may or may not be corruption issues that Federov might have been fighting, or that's cope on his part.

Still...From the time in flight/distance (not to mention inaccuracy) i don't think those are all self destructing 30mms from Pantsu which implies an alarming amount of low level 23mm or even 14.5mm API-T being fired over a major city. Some OSINT sources are saying that Ukraine pushed Russia past the lake/river with that salient, but we won't know for sure until Ukraine decides to share more
